A Novel Forwarding Method for Full-Duplex Two-Way Relay Networks

An estimate-and-forward(EF) scheme for single-input single-output(SISO) and multiple-input multiple-output(MIMO) full-duplex two-way relay networks is proposed and analyzed. The relay estimates the received signal from two terminal nodes by a minimum mean squared error(MMSE) estimation and forwards a scaled version of the MMSE estimate to the destination. The proposed EF outperforms conventional amplify-and-forward(AF) and decode-and-forward(DF) across all signal-to-noise ratio(SNR) region. Because its computational complexity is high for relays with a large number of antennas(large MIMO) and/or high order constellations, an approximate EF scheme, called list EF, are thus proposed to reduce the computational complexity. The proposed list EF computes a candidate list for the MMSE estimate by using a sphere decoder, and it approaches the performance of the exact EF relay at a negligible performance loss. The proposed forwarding approach also could be used to other relay networks, such as half-duplex, one-way or massive MIMO relay networks.

The theory of uniform design has received increasing interest because of its wide application in the field of computer *** generalized discrete discrepancy is proposed to evaluate the uniformity of the mixed-level factorial *** this paper,the authors give a lower bound of the generalized discrete discrepancy and provide some construction methods of optimal mixed-level uniform designs which can achieve this lower *** methods are all deterministic construction methods which can avoid the complexity of stochastic *** saturated mixed-level uniform designs and supersaturated mixed-level uniform designs can be obtained with these ***,the resulting designs are also χ^(2)-optimal and minimum moment aberration designs.

In this paper, a bit error ratio(BER)-based relay selection strategy is investigated under opportunistic relay *** challenging problem is to design the relay selection rule so that the relay is able to measure the performance of the cooperative system at the destination exactly with low computation *** paper derives a closed-form expression of the end-to-end bit error rate firstly. Then, an approximate BER expression based on the relationship between the instantaneous signal-to-noise ratio(SNR) of the relay-to-destination link and the probability of error propagation is derived. Finally, a simplified relay selection formula is proposed. Simulation results prove that the proposed relay selection rule can reflect the BER of each relay properly as well.

Channel prediction is an effective approach for reducing the feedback or estimation overhead in massive multi-input multi-output (m-MIMO) systems. However, existing channel prediction methods lack precision due to model mismatch errors or network generalization issues. Large language models (LLMs) have demonstrated powerful modeling and generalization abilities, and have been successfully applied to cross-modal tasks, including the time series analysis. Leveraging the expressive power of LLMs, we propose a pre-trained LLM-empowered channel prediction(LLM4CP)method to predict the future downlink channel state information (CSI) sequence based on the historical uplink CSI sequence. We fine-tune the network while freezing most of the parameters of the pre-trained LLM for better cross-modality knowledge transfer. To bridge the gap between the channel data and the feature space of the LLM,preprocessor, embedding, and output modules are specifically tailored by taking into account unique channel characteristics. Simulations validate that the proposed method achieves state-of-the-art (SOTA) prediction performance on full-sample, few-shot, and generalization tests with low training and inference costs.

Energy conservation is a critical problem in recently-emerging wireless sensor networks （WSNs）. Pulse position modulation （PPM）, as an exploring-worthy modulation format for energy efficiency, is tailored for WSNs into two schemes, mono-mode PPM and multi-mode PPM, in this paper. Resorting to an idealized system model and a practical system model, which combine the power consumptions in transmission and reception modules of nodes with the idealized and real- istic battery characteristics, the battery energy efficiencies of mono-mode PPM and multi-mode PPM are evaluated and compared. To minimize the battery energy consumption （BEC）, these schemes are further optimized in terms of constellation size M for a link in path-loss channels. Our analytical and numerical results show that considerable energy can be saved by multi-mode PPM; and the optimization performances of these schemes are noticeable at various communication distances though their optimization properties are different.

Chemical looping reforming of methane is a novel and effective approach to convert methane to syngas,in which oxygen transfer is achieved by a redox *** lots of efforts have been made to develop high-performance redox materials,a few studies have focused on the redox *** this work,the kinetics of SrFeO_(3−δ)–CaO∙MnO nanocomposite reduction by methane was investigated both on a thermo-gravimetric analyzer and in a packed-bed *** the methane reduction,combustion occurs before the partial oxidation and there exists a transition between *** weight loss due to combustion increases,but the transition region becomes less inconspicuous as the reduction temperature *** weight loss associated with the partial oxidation is much larger than that with *** rate of weight loss related to the partial oxidation is well fitted by the Avrami–Erofeyev equation with n=3(A3 model)with an activation energy of 59.8 kJ∙mol^(‒1).The rate law for the partial oxidation includes a solid conversion term whose expression is given by the A3 model and a methane pressure-dependent term represented by a power *** partial oxidation is half order with respect to methane *** proposed rate law could well predict the reduction kinetics;thus,it may be used to design and/or analyze a chemical looping reforming reactor.
