Spinel oxide(NiCo_(2.O_(4))has demonstrated great potential to replace noble metal catalysts for the oxidation reaction of air *** further boost the oxidation ability of such catalysts,in this study,a facile surface-engineering strategy wherein NiCo_(2.O_(4) was treated with different alkali solvents was *** obtained catalyst(NiCo_(2.O_(4)-OH)showed a higher surface alkalinity and more surface defects compared to the pristine spinel oxide,including enhanced structural distortion as well as promoted oxygen *** propane oxidation ability of NiCo_(2.O_(4)-OH was greatly enhanced,with a propane conversion rate that was approximately 6.4 times higher than that of pristine NiCo_(2.O_(4) at a reaction temperature 193℃.This work sets a valuable paradigm for the surface modulation of spinel oxide via alkali treatment to ensure a high-performance oxidation catalyst.

Galloping cheetahs,climbing mountain goats,and load hauling horses all show desirable locomotion capability,which motivates the development of quadruped *** various quadruped robots,hydraulically driven quadruped robots show great potential in unstructured environments due to their discrete landing positions and large *** the most critical movement unit of a quadruped robot,the limb leg unit(LLU)directly affects movement speed and reliability,and requires a compact and lightweight *** by the dexterous skeleton–muscle systems of cheetahs and humans,this paper proposes a highly integrated bionic actuator system for a better dynamic performance of an *** propose that a cylinder barrel with multiple element interfaces and internal smooth channels is realized using metal additive manufacturing,and hybrid lattice structures are introduced into the lightweight design of the piston *** addition,additive manufacturing and topology optimization are incorporated to reduce the redundant material of the structural parts of the *** mechanical properties of the actuator system are verified by numerical simulation and experiments,and the power density of the actuators is far greater than that of cheetah *** mass of the optimized LLU is reduced by 2..5%,and the optimized LLU shows better response time performance when given a step signal,and presents a good trajectory tracking ability with the increase in motion frequency.

A series of emission reduction measures were conducted in Wuhan,Central china,to ensure good air quality during the 7th Military World Games(MWG)in October *** better understand the implications for ozone(O_(3))pollution control strategies,we applied integrated analysis approaches based on the de-weathered statistical model,parameterization methods,chemical box model,and positive matrix factorization *** the MWG,concentrations of O_(3),NO_x,and volatile organic compound(VOCs),OFP(O_(3)formation potential),L_(OH)(OH radical loss rate)were 83μg/m^(3),43μg/m^(3),2. ppbv,188μg/m^(3),and 3.9 s^(-1),respectively,which were 2.%,18%,3%,15%,and 13%lower than pre-MWG values and 6%,39%,30%,33%,and 50%lower than post-MWG values,*** removing meteorological influence,O_(3)and its precursors during the MWG decreased largely compared with post-MWG values,and only O_(3),NO_(2.,and oxygenated VOCs(OVOCs)declined compared with pre-MWG values,which revealed the emission reduction measures during the MWG played an important role for O_(3)*** six VOCs sources,the mass contributions of biomass burning and solvents usage during the MWG decreased largely compared with pre-MWG values.O_(3)production was sensitive to VOCs and the key species were aromatics,OVOCs,and alkenes,which originated mainly from solvents usage,biomass burning,industrial-related combustion,and vehicle *** O_(3)concentration during the strict control was mainly caused by OVOCs reduction due to biomass burning ***,the O_(3)abatement strategies of Wuhan should be focused on the mitigation of high-reactivity VOCs.

Despite the promise of high flexibility and conformability of hydrogel ionic conductors,existing polymeric conductive hydrogels have long suffered from compromises in mechanical,electrical,and cryoadaptive properties due to monotonous functional improvement strategies,leading to lingering ***,we propose an all-in-one strategy for the preparation of poly(acrylic acid)/cellulose(PAA/Cel)hydrogel ionic conductors in a facile yet effective manner combining acrylic acid and salt-dissolved cellulose,in which abundant zinc ions simultaneously form strong coordination interactions with the two polymers,while free solute salts contribute to ionic conductivity and bind water molecules to prevent ***,the developed PAA/Cel hydrogel simultaneously achieved excellent mechanical,conductive,and cryogenically adaptive properties,with performances of 42.5 MPa for compressive strength,1.6 MPa for tensile strength,896.9%for stretchability,9.2.MJ m^(−3)for toughness,59.5 kJ m^(−2.for fracture energy,and 13.9 and 6.2.mS cm^(−1)for ionic conductivity at 2. and−70°C,*** by these features,the resultant hydrogel ionic conductor is further demonstrated to be assembled as a self-powered electronic skin(e-skin)with high signal-to-noise ratio for use in monitoring movement and physiological signals regardless of cold temperatures,with hinting that could go beyond high-performance hydrogel ionic conductors.

The underwater wireless optical communication(UWOC)system has gradually become essential to underwater wireless communication *** other existing works on UWOC systems,this paper evaluates the proposed machine learningbased signal demodulation methods through the selfbuilt experimental *** on such a platform,we first construct a real signal dataset with ten modulation ***,we propose a deep belief network(DBN)-based demodulator for feature extraction and multi-class feature *** also design an adaptive boosting(Ada Boost)demodulator as an alternative scheme without feature filtering for multiple modulated ***,it is demonstrated by extensive experimental results that the Ada Boost demodulator significantly outperforms the other *** also reveals that the demodulator accuracy decreases as the modulation order increases for a fixed received optical power.A higher-order modulation may achieve a higher effective transmission rate when the signal-to-noise ratio(SNR)is higher.
