Thermally chargeable supercapacitors can collect low-grade heat generated by the human body and convert it into electricity as a power supply unit for wearable electronics. However, the low Seebeck coefficient and heat-to-electricity conversion efficiency hinder further application. In this paper, we designed a high-performance thermally chargeable supercapacitor device composed of ZnMn2O4@Ti3C2Tx MXene composites (ZMO@Ti3C2Tx MXene) electrode and UIO-66 metal-organic framework doped multichannel polyvinylidene fluoridehexafluoro-propylene ionogel electrolyte, which realized the thermoelectric conversion and electrical energy storage at the same time. This thermally chargeable supercapacitor device exhibited a high Seebeck coefficient of 55.4 mV K-1, thermal voltage of 243 mV, and outstanding heat-to-electricity conversion efficiency of up to 6.48% at the temperature difference of 4.4 K. In addition, this device showed excellent charge-discharge cycling stability at high-temperature differences (3 K) and low-temperature differences (1 K), respectively. Connecting two thermally chargeable supercapacitor units in series, the generated output voltage of 500 mV further confirmed the stability of devices. When a single device was worn on the arm, a thermal voltage of 208.3 mV was obtained indicating the possibility of application in wearable electronics.

Environment-friendly indium phosphide(InP)-based quantum dots(QDs)with efficient red-emitting properties are sufficiently needed to satisfy the requirement of burgeoning display and lighting ***,the syntheses of InP QDs using tris(trimethylsilyl)phosphine as the precursor are highly toxic and ***,we successfully introduced gallium(Ga)ions into tris(dimethylamino)phosphine-based red InP cores through thermally-promoted cation exchange,and the obtained Ga-doped InP cores exhibited significantly increased photoluminescence quantum yields(PLQY)of up to 26%.The existence of Ga was directly confirmed by energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy,and the functions of Ga were systematically *** subsequent coating of Ga-doped InP cores with ZnSeS and ZnS shells,the resulting Ga-InP/ZnSeS/ZnS QDs achieved a high PLQY of 62%with an emission maximum at 640 *** contrast,without Ga-doping,the PLQY only attained 36%using the same synthetic *** indicated an approximate 1.7-fold increase in *** enhancement of photoluminescence was related to the Ga^(3+),as it not only passivated surface defects of InP cores but also reduced core–shell interface *** Ga-InP/ZnSeS/ZnS QDs exhibited good stability towards heat treatment and ultraviolet(UV)***,the red light-emitting diode(LED)based on Ga-InP/ZnSeS/ZnS QDs performed well in a wide injected current range of 2 to 200 mA,with a maximum power efficiency of 0.68 lm/*** work showcases Ga-doping through cation exchange as a promising strategy for enhancing the efficiency of InP-based red emitters.

Level pinning of anti-PT-symmetric circuits for efficient wireless power transfer

Wireless power transfer(WPT) technology based on magnetic resonance(a basic physical phenomenon)can directly transfer energy from the source to the load without wires and other physical contacts, and has been successfully applied to implantable medical devices, electric vehicles, robotic arms and other ***, due to the frequency splitting of near-field coupling, the resonant WPT system has some unique limitations, such as poor transmission stability and low efficiency. Here, we propose anti-resonance with level pinning for high-performance WPT. By introducing the anti-resonance mode into the basic WPT platform, we uncover the competition between dissipative coupling and coherent coupling to achieve novel level pinning, and construct an effective anti-parity-time(anti-PT)-symmetric non-Hermitian system that is superior to previous PT-symmetric WPT schemes. On the one hand, the eigenvalue of the anti-PT-symmetric system at resonance frequency is always pure real in both strong and weak coupling regions, and can be used to overcome the transmission efficiency decrease caused by weak coupling, as brought about by, for example, a large size ratio of the transmitter to receiver, or a long transmission *** the other hand, due to the level pinning effect of the two kinds of coupling mechanisms, the working frequency of the system is guaranteed to be locked, so frequency tracking is not required when the position and size of the receiver change. Even if the system deviates from the matching condition, an efficient WPT can be realized, thereby demonstrating the robustness of the level pinning. The experimental results show that when the size ratio of the transmitter coil to the receiver coil is 4.29(which is in the weak coupling region), the transfer efficiency of the anti-PT-symmetric system is nearly 4.3(3.2) times higher than that of the PT-symmetric system when the matching conditions are satisfied(deviated). The reaction of carbonyl-to-imine/hemiaminal conversion in the atmospheric aqueous phase is a critical pathway to produce the light-absorbing N-containing secondary organic compounds(SOC).The formation mechanism of these compounds has been wildly investigated in bulk solutions with a low ionic ***,the ionic strength in the aqueous phase of the polluted atmosphere may be *** is still unclear whether and to what extent the inorganic ions can affect the SOC *** we prepared the bulk solution with certain ionic strength,in which glyoxal and ammonium were mixed to mimic the aqueous-phase *** characterization by High-resolution Mass Spectrometry was performed to identify the N-containing products,and the light absorption of the mixtures was measured by ultraviolet-visible ***-nine N-containing compounds were identified and divided into four categories(N-heterocyclic chromophores,high-molecular-weight compounds with N-heterocycle,aliphatic imines/hemiaminals,and the unclassified).It was observed that the longer reaction time and higher ionic strength led to the formation of more N-heterocyclic chromophores and the increasing of the lightabsorbance of the *** added inorganic ions were proposed to make the aqueous phase somewhat viscous so that the molecules were prone to undergo consecutive and intramolecular reactions to form the *** general,this study revealed that the enhanced ionic strength and prolonged reaction time had the promotion effect on the lightabsorbing SOC *** implies that the aldehyde-derived aqueous-phase SOC would contribute more light-absorbing particulate matter in the industrial or populated area where inorganic ions are abundant.
