In this work, the reduction behavior of vanadium–titanium sinters was studied under five different sets of conditions of pulverized coal injection with oxygen enrichment. The modified random pore model was established to analyze the reduction kinetics. The results show that the reduction rate of sinters was accelerated by an increase of CO and H2contents. Meanwhile, with the increase in CO and H2contents, the increasing range of the medium reduction index (MRE) of sinters decreased. The increasing oxygen enrichment ratio played a diminishing role in improving the reduction behavior of the sinters. The reducing process kinetic parameters were solved using the modified random role model. The results indicated that, with increasing oxygen enrichment, the contents of CO and H2in the reducing gas increased. The reduction activation energy of the sinters decreased to between 20.4 and 23.2 kJ/mol. © 2017, The Author(s).

A new detector array characterized by compact structure and large solid-angle coverage was designed for radioactive ion beam(RIB)experiments and measuring multi-particle correlations.A Monte Carlo simulation was performed to explore the effects of beam drifts in different directions and distances on the angular distribution of the Rutherford scattering,as measured by the detector *** results indicate that when the beam drift distance is less than 2.0 mm,the symmetry of the detector array can maintain a count error of less than 5%.This confirms the property of the detector array for RIB ***,the simulation was validated through the elastic scattering angular distributions of 6;7 Li measured by the detector array in 6;7Li t209 Bi experiments at different energies.

BACKGROUND: We aim to investigate effects of metabolic syndrome on onset age and long-termoutcomes in patients with acute coronary syndrome (ACS).METHODS: Patients with ACS (n=6,431) who underwent percutaneous coronary interventionfrom January to December 2013 were enrolled. After excluding patients with previous coronary arterydisease, 1,558 patients were diagnosed with early-onset ACS (men aged ≤50 years;women aged≤60 years) and 3,044 patients with late-onset ACS. Baseline characteristics and five-year clinicaloutcomes were ***: Body mass index, triglyceride, low-density lipoprotein cholesterol, and uric acidconcentrations were significantly higher, while the high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C)concentration was lower in the early-onset ACS group (Pyear follow-up showed that the incidences of all cause death(1.5% vs. 3.8%, P<0.001), cardiac death (1.1% vs. 2.0%, P=0.023), and recurrent stroke (2.2% vs. 4.2%,P<0.001) were lower, while bleeding events were more frequent in the early-onset ACS group. A subgroupanalysis showed higher incidences of recurrent myocardial infarction (MI) and revascularization in patientswith early-onset ACS and metabolic ***: Obesity, hypertriglyceridemia, and lower HDL-C level are independent riskfactors for early-onset ACS, recurrent MI, and revascularization. The control of metabolic syndromemay reduce the incidence of early-onset ACS and improve the long-term prognosis.

Objective To evaluate the changes and clinical significance of serum CA125 levels in patients with metastatic bladder carcinoma. Methods Serum concentrations of CA125 were examined by means of electrochemiluminescence technique in 58 cases metastatic bladder cancer, 30 cases of superficial ones and 8 cases of other urological conditions. Results Of the 58 patients 39(67.2%) had increased CA125.

NF-κB signaling has been discovered for nearly 40 ***,NF-κB signaling was identified as a pivotal pathway in mediating inflammatory ***,with extensive and in-depth investigations,researchers have discovered that its role can be expanded to a variety of signaling mechanisms,biological processes,human diseases,and treatment *** this review,we first scrutinize the research process of NF-κB signaling,and summarize the composition,activation,and regulatory mechanism of NF-κB *** investigate the interaction of NF-κB signaling with other important pathways,including PI3K/AKT,MAPK,JAK-STAT,TGF-β,Wnt,Notch,Hedgehog,and TLR *** physiological and pathological states of NF-κB signaling,as well as its intricate involvement in inflammation,immune regulation,and tumor microenvironment,are also ***,we illustrate how NF-κB signaling is involved in a variety of human diseases,including cancers,inflammatory and autoimmune diseases,cardiovascular diseases,metabolic diseases,neurological diseases,and ***,we discuss the therapeutic approaches targeting NF-κB signaling,including IKK inhibitors,monoclonal antibodies,proteasome inhibitors,nuclear translocation inhibitors,DNA binding inhibitors,TKls,non-coding RNAs,immunotherapy,and ***,we provide an outlook for research in the field of NF-κB *** hope to present a stereoscopic,comprehensive NF-κB signaling that will inform future research and clinical practice.

AIM:To investigate the prevalence of minimal hepatic encephalopathy(MHE)and to assess corresponding health-related quality of life(HRQoL)in hospitalized cirrhotic patients in ***:This multi-center cross-sectional study included 16 teaching hospitals,which were members of "Hepatobiliary Cooperation Group,Society of Gastroenterology,Chinese Medical Association",from different areas of China carried out between June and October in *** the eligible hospitalized cirrhotic patients(n = 538)were required to complete triplicate number connection tests combined with one digit symbol test for diagnosing ***' clinical examination data were complemented by a modified questionnaire assessing *** informed consent was obtained from each ***:Male was predominant(68.6%)in 519 patients who met the criteria of the study,with a mean age of 49.17 ± 11.02 *** most common cause of liver cirrhosis was chronic hepatitis B(55.9%).The prevalence of MHE was 39.9% and varied by ChildPugh-Classification score(CPC-A:24.8%,CPC-B:39.4% and CPC-C:56.1%,P < 0.01).MHE(P < 0.01)and higher CPC scores(P < 0.01)were associated with a high HRQoL scores(reflecting poorer quality of life).The prevalence of MHE was proportionate to CPC(P = 0.01)and high quality of life scores(P = 0.01).CONCLUSION:Hospitalized cirrhotic patients have a high prevalence of MHE that is proportionate to the degree of liver function and HRQoL impairment.

Phytochemical investigation on the seeds of Caesalpinia sappan led to the isolation of five new cassanetype diterpenoids, named 11-oxo-phanginin A（1）, caesalsappanins O–Q（2–4） and phanginin U（5）,together with five known compounds. The structures of the new compounds were elucidated by extensive analysis of mass spectrometric and 1D and 2D NMR spectroscopic data. All the new compounds showed moderate cytotoxic effects on human breast cancer MCF-7 and human colon cancer HCT116 cell lines.

Site-testing is crucial for achieving the goal of scientific research and analysis of meteorological and optical observing conditions,one of the associated basic *** one of three potential sites to host the 12-meter Large Optical/infrared Telescope(LOT),the Muztagh-ata site,which is located on the Pamir Plateau in xinjiang,in west China,began its site-testing task in the spring of *** this paper,we firstly start with an introduction to the site and then present a statistical analysis of the ground-level meteorological properties such as air temperature,barometric pressure,relative humidity,and wind speed and direction,recorded by an automatic weather station with standard meteorological sensors for a two-year *** also show the monitoring results of sky brightness during this period.
