Inferring network structures from available data has attracted much interest in network science;however,in many realistic networks,only some of the nodes are perceptible while others are hidden,making it a challenging *** this work,we develop a method for reconstructing the network with hidden nodes and links,taking account of fast-varying noise and time-delay *** calculating the correlations of available data with different derivative orders for multiple pairs of accessible nodes,analyzing and integrating the relationships between different correlations,and defining diverse hidden-node-related reconstruction motifs,we can effectively identify the hidden nodes and hidden links in the network.

The safety and efficacy of COVID-19 vaccines in the elderly,a high-risk group for severe COVID-19 infection,have not been fully *** clarify these issues,this prospective study followed up 157 elderly and 73 young participants for 16 months and compared the safety,immunogenicity,and efficacy of two doses of the inactivated vaccine BBIBP-CorV followed by a booster dose of the recombinant protein vaccine *** results showed that this vaccination protocol was safe and tolerable in the *** administering two doses of the BBIBP-CorV,the positivity rates and titers of neutralizing and anti-RBD antibodies in the elderly were significantly lower than those in the young *** the ZF2.01 booster dose,the antibody-positive rates in the elderly were comparable to those in the young;however,the antibody titers remained ***,age,and underlying diseases were independently associated with vaccine immunogenicity in elderly *** pseudovirus neutralization assay showed that,compared with those after receiving two doses of BBIBP-CorV priming,some participants obtained immunological protection against BA.5 and BF.7 after receiving the ZF2.01 *** infection symptoms last longer in the infected elderly and pre-infection antibody titers were negatively associated with the severity of post-infection *** antibody levels in the elderly increased significantly after breakthrough infection but were still lower than those in the *** data suggest that multiple booster vaccinations at short intervals to maintain high antibody levels may be an effective strategy for protecting the elderly against COVID-19.

research on flexible strain sensors has advanced rapidly in recent years, with particular attention being devoted to two-dimensional(2.) semiconductor materials owing to their exceptional mechanical and electrical properties that are conducive to sophisticated sensing performance. However, resistive strain sensors based on 2. semiconductor materials typically exhibit positive gauge factors(GF), while materials for strain sensors with a negative GF remain elusive. We have identified a trend of reduction in the band gap of the emerging 2. semiconductor material tellurium(Te) under strain in simulations reported in past research,and have observed a negative GF in the Te-based strain sensor. In this study, we combined Te with a flexible polyethylene terephthalate(PET) substrate to manufacture a flexible strain sensor with a significantly negative GF. The results of tests revealed that the Te-based strain sensor achieved an impressive maximum sensitivity of-139.7 within a small range of bending-induced strain(< 1%). Furthermore, it exhibited excellent linearity and good cyclic stability, and was successfully applied to monitor limb movements. The work here verifies the significant potential for the use of Te-based strain sensors in next-generation flexible electronics.

Synergistic improvement of strength and ductility via doping cerium into PH13-8Mo stainless steel by laser powder b e d fusion

In this study,the PH13-8Mo stainless steel parts doped without and with cerium(Ce)were fabricated via laser powder bed fusion followed by post-heat treatment,and systematically compared in terms of microstructure,phase constituent,and tensile *** comparative results show that doping Ce-modified grains with the equiaxed morphology and finer size,increased the mechanical stability of austenite,and enhanced the sphericity of oxide inclusion in the resultant ***,the coherency between the newly-formed CeAlO 3 inclusion and matrix was effectively im proved after doping Ce,as compared to the original aluminum oxide inclusion without doping *** resultant PH13-8Mo parts doped with Ce yielded an ultimate tensile strength of 1446±2. MPa with a fracture elongation of 16.0%±1.5%,for the first time meeting the AMS 562.E H1000 standard for the PH13-8Mo made by additive manufacturing(AM).The enhanced strength results from the strengthening effects of nanoscale precipitation(inclusion)and grain ***,the ductilizing mechanism can be attributed to the enhanced inclusion sphericity and ameliorative coherency between the inclusion and matrix,and improved misorientation angle of grain boundary owing to the modification by Ce,which efficiently re-duced the stress concentration and enhanced cracking resistance during ***,doping rare earth elements presents a promising pathway to synergistically improve the strength and ductility of stainless steels by AM.

Kagome magnets with diverse topological quantum responses are crucial for next-generation topological *** anisotropic magnetism and band evolution induced by ferromagnetic phase transition(FMPT)is reported in a newly discovered titanium-based kagome ferromagnet Sm Ti3Bi4,which features a distorted Ti kagome lattice and Sm atomic zig-zag ***-dependent resistivity,heat capacity,and magnetic susceptibility reveal a ferromagnetic ordering temperature Tc of2..2.K.A large magnetic anisotropy,observed by applying the magnetic field along three crystallographic axes,identifies the b axis as the easy ***-resolved photoemission spectroscopy with first-principles calculations unveils the characteristic kagome motif,including the Dirac point at the Fermi level and multiple van Hove ***,a band splitting and gap closing attributed to FMPT is observed,originating from the exchange coupling between Sm 4 f local moments and itinerant electrons of the kagome Ti atoms,as well as the time-reversal symmetry breaking induced by the long-range ferromagnetic *** the large in-plane magnetization and the evolution of electronic structure under the influence of ferromagnetic ordering,such materials promise to be a new platform for exploring the intricate electronic properties and magnetic phases based on the kagome lattice.

The Maoling gold deposit, one of the large gold deposits in eastern Liaoning Province, NE china, is an ar- senopyrite-disseminated gold deposit with a resource of ap- proximately 2. t Au and an average Au grade of 3.2.g/t. Six arsenopyrites closely related to Au mineralization of the Maoling gold deposit are dated by Re-Os technique and de- fine a Re-Os isochron with an age of 2.16±140 Ma, which suggests that the deposit was formed in the Paleoproterozoic era rather than in the Indosinian period as some early re- searchers suggested. High initial 187Os/188Os ratio of 1.32.0.48 indicates a crustal derivation of the ore-forming material of the deposit, which may be derived from rocks of the Gaixian formation of the Liaohe Group. Furthermore, the result also implies that the age of the Gaixian Formation in the Maoling district is older than 2.16±140 Ma.

Manganese-based material is a prospective cathode material for aqueous zinc ion batteries(ZIBs)by virtue of its high theoretical capacity,high operating voltage,and low ***,the manganese dissolution during the electrochemical reaction causes its electrochemical cycling stability to be *** this work,heterointerface engineering-induced oxygen defects are introduced into heterostructure MnO_(2.(δa-MnO_(2.)by in situ electrochemical activation to inhibit manganese dissolution for aqueous zinc ion ***,the heterointerface between the disordered amorphous and the crystalline MnO_(2.ofδa-MnO_(2.is decisive for the formation of oxygen *** the experimental results indicate that the manganese dissolution ofδa-MnO_(2.is considerably inhibited during the charge/discharge *** analysis indicates that the oxygen defect regulates the electronic and band structure and the Mn-O bonding state of the electrode material,thereby promoting electron transport kinetics as well as inhibiting Mn ***,the capacity ofδa-MnO_(2.does not degrade after 100 cycles at a current density of 0.5 Ag^(-1)and also 91%capacity retention after 500cycles at 1 Ag^(-1).This study provides a promising insight into the development of high-performance manganese-based cathode materials through a facile and low-cost strategy.

Pogostemon cablin essential oil(PEO),extracted from ***,has anti-oxidant,anti-inflammatory,and anti-stress properties,as well as the ability to improve gastrointestinal *** study aims to evaluate the effects of PEO on the performance,rumen epithelial morphology,and barrier function in heat-stressed beef ***-six male Jingjiang cattle at 18 months old were randomly assigned into four groups and fed a diet containing PEO at 0(control),50,100,or 150 mg/kg in the feed concentrate(n=9).All experimental cattle were fed under high temperature and humidity in summer for 60 *** results indicated that 50 mg/kg of PEO treatment enhanced the average daily gain of beef cattle compared with the control group(P=0.032..All PEO treatments reduced the diamine oxidase activity(P=0.004)and malondialdehyde content(P=0.008)in *** addition,the content of 70 kDa heat shock protein in the 100 mg/kg group was increased,and the activity of glutathione peroxidase and total antioxidant capacity in both 100 mg/kg and 150 mg/kg groups were enhanced compared to the control group(Pludin in ruminal epithelia but decreased the mRNA relative expressions of c-Jun N-terminal kinase,P38 mitogen-activated protein kinases,caspase-3,Beclin1(Plular regulated protein kinases and ubiquitin-binding protein in contrast to the control group(P<0.01).These findings indicated that dietary PEO supplementation might be favorable to improve growth performance and repairing damaged rumen epithelium of heat-stressed cattle by down-regulating the mitogen-activated protein kinase signaling pathway.
