Carbon-based nanomaterials cause toxicity by oxidative stress to the liver and brain in Sprague-Dawley rats

Carbon-based nanomaterials have important research significance in various disciplines,such as composite materials,nanoelectronic devices,biosensors,biological imaging,and drug ***,the human and ecological risks associated with carbon-based nanomaterials have received increasing ***,the biological safety of carbon based nanomaterials has not been systematically *** this study,we used different types of carbon materials,namely,graphene oxide(GO),single-walled carbon nanotubes(SWCNTs),and multiwalled carbon nanotubes(MWCNTs),as models to observe their distribution and oxidative damage in *** results of Histopathological and ultrastructural examinations indicated that the liver and lungs were the main accumulation targets of these ***-μ-XRF analysis revealed that SWCNTs and MWCNTs might be present in the *** shows that the three types of carbon-based nanomaterials could cross the gas-blood barrier and eventually reach the liver *** addition,SWCNTs and MWCNTs could cross the blood-brain barrier and accumulate in the cerebral *** increase in ROS and MDA levels and the decrease in GSH,SOD,and CAT levels indicated that the three types of nanomaterials might cause oxidative stress in the *** suggests that direct instillation of these carbon-based nanomaterials into rats could induce ROS *** addition,iron(Fe)contaminants in these nanomaterials were a definite source of free ***,these nanomaterials did not cause obvious damage to the rat brain *** deposition of selenoprotein in the rat brain was found to be related to oxidative stress and Fe *** information may support the development of secure and reasonable applications of the studied carbon-based nanomaterials.

Arsenic is a ubiquitous environmental ***-mediated arsenic biotransformations significantly infuence arsenic mobility and *** transformations by soil and aquatic organisms have been well documented,while little is known regarding effects due to endophytic *** endophyte Pseudomonas putida ARS1 was isolated from rice grown in arsenic contaminated *** ARS1 shows high tolerance to arsenite(As(Ⅲ))and arsenate(As(V)),and exhibits efficient As(V)reduction and As(Ⅲ)effux *** exposed to 0.6 mg/L As(V),As(V)in the medium was completely converted to As(Ⅲ)by *** ARS1 within 4 *** sequencing showed that *** ARS1 has two chromosomal arsenic resistance gene clusters(arsRCBH)that contribute to efficient As(V)reduction and As(Ⅲ)effux,and result in high resistance to *** globosa is a strong arsenic accumulator with high potential for arsenic phytoremediation,which takes up As(Ⅲ)more efficiently than As(V).Co-culture of *** ARS1 and *** enhanced arsenic accumulation in *** by 69%,and resulted in 91%removal of arsenic(at initial concentration of 0.6 mg/L As(V))from water within 3 *** study provides a promising strategy for in situ arsenic phytoremediation through the cooperation of plant and endophytic bacterium.

Multiple waves of coronavirus disease 2.19(COVID-19) outbreaks have affected numerous countries worldwide. The first case of SARS-CoV-2.reinfection was reported in Hong Kong in August 2.2.^([1]), leading to increased interest in the effectiveness of natural immunity acquired from primary infection. While data reports vary across countries, all findings indicate that prior SARS-CoV-2.infection provides substantial protection against reinfection^([2.). However, natural immunity from infection with previous non-Omicron or early Omicron sub-lineages offers lower levels of protection against Omicron reinfection, with rates below 60%^([3]) and approximately 75%[4], respectively.

A real-time adaptive roles allocation method based on reinforcement learning is proposed to improve humanrobot cooperation performance for a curtain wall installation *** method breaks the traditional idea that the robot is regarded as the follower or only adjusts the leader and the follower in *** this paper,a self-learning method is proposed which can dynamically adapt and continuously adjust the initiative weight of the robot according to the change of the ***,the physical human-robot cooperation model,including the role factor is ***,a reinforcement learningmodel that can adjust the role factor in real time is established,and a reward and actionmodel is *** role factor can be adjusted continuously according to the comprehensive performance of the human-robot interaction force and the robot’s Jerk during the repeated ***,the roles adjustment rule established above continuously improves the comprehensive *** of the dynamic roles allocation and the effect of the performance weighting coefficient on the result have been *** results show that the proposed method can realize the role adaptation and achieve the dual optimization goal of reducing the sum of the cooperator force and the robot’s Jerk.

Change of pore water near the freezing front during soil freezing: Migration and mechanisms

The formation and growth of segregation ice dominate the frost heave during soil freezing,which is closely related to water *** analyze segregation ice during soil freezing for different soils,a freezing-thawing experiment was conducted with Lanzhou loess(LZL)and Qinghai-Tibet Plateau silty clay(QSC)using a novel layered nuclear magnetic resonance *** LZL freezing,the unfrozen water content first increased and then decreased with decreasing temperature near the freezing front,but decreased with decreasing temperature in other layers,whereas during the freezing of QSC,the unfrozen water content in different layers(including the freezing front)decreased with decreased ***,the increased liquid water near the freezing front during LZL freezing was primarily adsorbed *** addition to the temperature gradient,the squeezing action during soil freezing was another important factor affecting water migration,especially at the early stage of soil ***,which of the two factors,squeezing action and temperature gradient,was the dominant one causing water migration depended on soil *** the early stage of soil freezing,the squeezing action had a significant effect on the water migration of LZL,but no significant effect on that of ***,water accumulation of LZL near the freezing front due to squeezing action at the early stage of freezing limited the formation and growth of segregation *** study provided an improved understanding for ice segregation and water migration during soil freezing.

SURFACE MODIFICATION OF CaCO_3 WITH DENDRITIC CARBOXYLIC ACIDS

Nanometer calcium carbonate was modified with Frechet type polyether dendrons bearing a COOH group at thefocal point by a wet-coating technique in dichloromethane at room temperature. The interaction between CaCO;and thedendritic modifier was proven by IR and mass spectroscopy of the modified CaCO;after thorough extraction withdichloromethane. The amount of tightly bonded organic modifier was estimated by TGA. It was shown that the amount ofbonded molecules decreased with increasing generation number due to the larger number of branches. Compared tounmodified CaCO;, the modified CaCO;possess different dispersibility in water and in organic solvents.

Employing two fully relativistic methods,the multi-reference configuration Dirac-Hartree-Fock(MCDHF)methodand the relativistic many-body perturbation theory(RMBPT)method,we report energies and lifetime values for the lowest35 energy levels of the(1s^(2.)nl configurations(where the principal quantum number n=2.6 and the angular quantum numberl=0,...,n-1)of lithium-like germanium(Ge XXX),as well as complete data on the transition wavelengths,radiativerates,absorption oscillator strengths,and line strengths between the *** the allowed(E1)and forbidden(magneticdipole M1,magnetic quadrupole M2.and electric quadrupole E2.ones are *** results from the two methodsare consistent with each other and align well with previous accurate experimental and theoretical *** assess theoverall accuracies of present RMBPT results to be likely the most precise ones to *** present fully relativistic resultsshould be helpful for soft x-ray laser research,spectral line identification,plasma modeling and *** datasetspresented in this paper are openly available at https://***/10.57760/sciencedb.j00113.00135.

Ordovician reservoirs in Fuxian area:Gas accumulation patterns and their implications for the exploration of lower Paleozoic carbonates in the southern Ordos Basin

In recent years,the Fuxian area in the southeastern Ordos Basin has undergone significant exploration,with industrial gas flow tested in wells drilled into the Ordovician marine *** this,the gas accumulation patterns of this area are not fully understood,posing challenges for further *** analysis of geological conditions indicates that the Ordovician Majiagou Formation in this area hosts two gas plays:one found in weathering crusts and the other found in interior of the *** investigated various typical gas reservoirs in the area,focusing on differentiating the geological conditions and factors controlling gas accumulation in the weathering-crust and interior gas *** results suggest three primary gas accumulation patterns in the Majiagou Formation in the Fuxian area:(1)upper gas accumulation in weathering crusts,present in the high parts of landforms such as residual paleo-hills or buried paleo-platform(Pattern I);(2.the stereoscopic pattern with gas accumulation in both weathering crusts and strata interior,arising in high parts of landforms such as residual paleo-hills or buried paleo-platforms(Pattern II);(3)lower gas accumulation in strata interior,occurring in the upper reaches and on both sides of paleo-trenches(Pattern III).This study will serve as a geological basis for future exploration deployment in the Fuxian area.
