Water-induced landslides in hydropower reservoirs pose a great threat to both project operation and human *** paper examines three large reservoirs in Sichuan Province,*** surveys,site monitoring data analyses and numerical simulations are used to analyze the spatial distribution and failure mechanisms of water-induced landslides in reservoir ***,the general rules of landslide development in the reservoir area are *** first rule is that most of the landslides have rear edge elevations of 100e500 m above the normal water level of the reservoir,with volumes in the range of 106 e107 m *** the volume exceeds a certain amount,the number of sites at which the landscape can withstand landslides is greatly *** hazards mainly occur in the middle section of the reservoir and less in the annex of the dam site and the latter half of the reservoir *** second rule is that sedimentary rocks such as sandstone are more prone to landslide hazards than other ***,the failure mechanism of changes in the water level that reduces the stability of the slope composed of different geomaterials is analyzed by a proposed slope stability framework that considers displacement and is discussed with the monitoring *** is an essential parameter for understanding the diametrically opposed deformation behavior of landslides experiencing filling-drawdown cycles during *** study seeks to provide inspiration to subsequent researchers,as well as guidance to technicians,on landslide prevention and control in reservoir areas.

Unlike traditional ridging, mulching broad ridges with a woven polypropylene fabric (WPF) can reduce soil evaporation during the drought season and avoid long saturation time in the root zone of pear trees during the rainy season. In this study, field experiments were conducted from 2017 to 2020 in a pear orchard in the North China Plain to investigate the effects of mulching broad ridges (0.3 m in height and 2 m in width) with WPF on soil temperature and moisture, nitrogen leaching, vegetative and reproductive growth of young pear trees(Pyrus bretschneideri Rehd.‘Yuluxiang’). The experiments involved two treatments, namely, control (traditional no-ridge planting without mulching) and mulching broad ridges with WPF (RM treatment). The results showed that the RM treatment increased soil moisture and temperature and decreased nitrogen leaching, resulting in vigorous growth of the young pear trees. Moreover, the RM treatment increased the tree trunk cross-sectional area and height of the young pear trees by 37%and 8%in 2020, respectively. The nitrate nitrogen content at the soil layer depth of 0-30 cm was significantly higher in the RM than that in control. Furthermore, the RM treatment significantly increased the fruit yield due to larger tree size. In addition, compared with control, significantly higher fruit soluble solid content of RM treatment was detected in 2020. High precipitation (423 mm) occurred during fruit enlargement stage in 2020, RM treatment decreased the rainfall infiltration in the ridge and the soil moisture in root region, resulting in the improvement of fruit quality, compared with ***, mulching broad ridges with WPF can be implemented to increase soil moisture during drought season, soil temperature, and nitrate nitrogen content, thereby improving the growth and fruit yield of young pear trees. The novel closed-form expressions for the average channel capacity of dual selection diversity is presented, as well as, the bit-error rate （BER） of several coherent and noncoherent digital modulation schemes in the correlated Weibull fading channels with nonidentical statisticS. The results are expressed in terms of Meijer＇s Gfunction, which can be easily evaluated numerically. The simulation results are presented to validate the proposed theoretical analysis and to examine the effects of the fading severity on the concerned quantities.

Sodium metal has shown great potential as an inexpensive anode for rechargeable batteries. However, the growth of sodium dendrites continues to hinder the commercialization of Na metal batteries. Herein, an effective strategy using anion-anchoring halloysite nanotube(HNT) coating was proven to prevent the diffusion of anions and trigger uniform Na deposition. Through theoretical calculation, a model of active site of fixed anions exposed from HNTs after acid activation was established for the first time, revealing that Si–Al sites are effective active site of acid-activated HNTs. Furthermore, HNTs with strong and effective adsorption capacity for anions were obtained by controlling the structure of HNTs to regulate the exposure of Si–Al sites. The strong interaction between sites of acid-activated HNTs and the SO_(3)CF_(3)^(-) anion effectively promotes the dissociation of sodium salts, the release of Na^(+) and subsequent migration. As a result, HNTs acid activation for 4 h shows a steady sodium deposition process and displays high Coulombic efficiency in half cell, long cycle life in symmetric cell and full cell. This work provides a basic theoretical basis for the design of nanoclay with abundant and effective active site to fix anions for dendritic free metal batteries.
