Android Malware Detection Method Based on Permission Complement and API Calls

The dynamic code loading mechanism of the Android system allows an application to load executable files externally at runtime. This mechanism makes the development of applications more convenient, but it also brings security issues. Applications that hide malicious behavior in the external file by dynamic code loading are becoming a new challenge for Android malware detection. To overcome this challenge, based on dynamic code loading mechanisms, three types of threat models,i.e. Model I, Model II, and Model III are defined. For the Model I type malware, its malicious behavior occurs in Dex Code, so the application programming interface(API)classes were used to characterize the behavior of the DexCode file. For the Model II type and Model III type malwares whose malicious behaviors occur in an external file,the permission complement is defined to characterize the behaviors of the external file. Based on permission complement and API calls, an Android malicious application detection method is proposed, of which feature sets are constructed by improving a feature selection method. Five datasets containing 15,581 samples are used to evaluate the performance of the proposed method. The experimental results show that our detection method achieves accuracy of 99.885% on general dataset, and performes the best on all evaluation metrics on all datasets in all comparison methods.

Dendrobium sonia polysaccharide regulates immunity and restores the dysbiosis of the gut microbiota of the cyclophosphamide-induced immunosuppressed mice

To recognize the potential medicinal value of the Dendrobium sonia, polysaccharide(DSP) was extracted, purified, and investigated for its immunomodulatory activity. In vitro, DSP was shown to enhance the viability(MTT assay) and phagocytosis of macrophages. In cyclophosphamide-induced immunosuppressed mice, DSP increased serum levels of TNF-α, IL-6 and IFN-γ(enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay, ELISA), and ameliorated the imbalance of the community of gut microbiota as detected by 16 S ribosomal RNA gene sequencing. These results suggest that DSP might be beneficial for patients under immunosuppressed conditions.

Efficacy of press needle on immune function and quality of life in female breast cancer patients after radical mastectomy:study protocol for a randomized controlled trial

Radical mastectomy may lead to suppression of cellular immune function in patients with malignant tumors,and affect the quality of life(QOL)of patients.Immune suppression is a common cause of complications and adverse reactions in adjuvant therapy after radical mastectomy of breast cancer.Currently,there are few proven effective treatments for immune suppression.Therefore,it’s necessary to develop a new treatment method.Press needle is widely used in clinical practice.However,there have been relatively few studies that evaluate the effects of press needle on postoperative immune function.The aim of the present study is to assess the effects of press needle on immune function and QOL in female breast cancer patients undergoing radical mastectomy.This study will be a single-center,randomized and single-blinded trial.Totally 78 eligible patients will be randomized in a ratio of 1:1 to the press needle group or the sham press needle group.During the treatment phase,patients will undergo five times weekly of verum press needle or sham press needle for 2 weeks.The primary outcome measures will be the peripheral blood levels of CD8^(+),CD4^(+),CD3^(+),and CD4^(+)/CD8^(+)T cells.The secondary outcome measures will be the changes of patients’QOL,evaluated by the Karnofsky Performance Scale score and the EORTC core quality of life questionnaire(EORTC QLQ-C30).Furthermore,5-year survival rate and recurrence rate will be evaluated.Safety and adverse events will be assessed at each visit.The results of this on-going study will provide clinical evidence for the effects and safety of press needle on immune function and QOL in patients after breast cancer resection compared with sham press needle.

Natural Disasters Warning for Enterprises Through Fuzzy Keywords Search

With the ever-increasing number of natural disasters warning documents in document databases, the document database is becoming an economic and efficient way for enterprise staffs to learn and understand the contents of the natural disasters warning through searching for necessary text documents. Generally, the document database can recommend a mass of documents to the enterprise staffs through analyzing the enterprise staff's precisely typed keywords. In fact, these recommended documents place a heavy burden on the enterprise staffs to learn and select as the enterprise staffs have little background knowledge about the contents of the natural disasters warning. Thus, the enterprise staffs fail to retrieve and select appropriate documents to achieve their desired goals.Considering the above drawbacks, in this paper, we propose a fuzzy keywords-driven Natural Disasters Warning Documents retrieval approach(named NDWDkeyword). Through the text description mining of documents and the fuzzy keywords searching technology, the retrieval approach can precisely capture the enterprise staffs' target requirements and then return necessary documents to the enterprise staffs. Finally, a case study is run to explain our retrieval approach step by step and demonstrate the effectiveness and feasibility of our proposal.

Exosomes derived from bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells protect the injured spinal cord by inhibiting pericyte pyroptosis

Mesenchymal stem cell(MSC)transplantation is a promising treatment strategy for spinal cord injury,but immunological rejection and possible tumor formation limit its application.The therapeutic effects of MSCs mainly depend on their release of soluble paracrine factors.Exosomes are essential for the secretion of these paracrine effectors.Bone marrow mesenchymal stem cell-derived exosomes(BMSC-EXOs)can be substituted for BMSCs in cell transplantation.However,the underlying mechanisms remain unclear.In this study,a rat model of T10 spinal cord injury was established using the impact method.Then,30 minutes and 1 day after spinal cord injury,the rats were administered 200μL exosomes via the tail vein(200μg/mL;approximately 1×106 BMSCs).Treatment with BMSC-EXOs greatly reduced neuronal cell death,improved myelin arrangement and reduced myelin loss,increased pericyte/endothelial cell coverage on the vascular wall,decreased bloodspinal cord barrier leakage,reduced caspase 1 expression,inhibited interleukin-1βrelease,and accelerated locomotor functional recovery in rats with spinal cord injury.In the cell culture experiment,pericytes were treated with interferon-γand tumor necrosis factor-α.Then,Lipofectamine 3000 was used to deliver lipopolysaccharide into the cells,and the cells were co-incubated with adenosine triphosphate to simulate injury in vitro.Pre-treatment with BMSC-EXOs for 8 hours greatly reduced pericyte pyroptosis and increased pericyte survival rate.These findings suggest that BMSC-EXOs may protect pericytes by inhibiting pyroptosis and by improving blood-spinal cord barrier integrity,thereby promoting the survival of neurons and the extension of nerve fibers,and ultimately improving motor function in rats with spinal cord injury.All protocols were conducted with the approval of the Animal Ethics Committee of Zhengzhou University on March 16,2019.

Comparative study of reduced-order modeling method for the cavitating flow over a hydrofoil

As a high-dimensional complex nonlinear dynamic system,the analysis of the essence of flow has always been a difficult problem,especially in the flow including phase change.In recent years,it has become a feasible method to reduce the dimension of flow structure by reduced-order modeling(ROM)methods.In this paper,through the cavitation numerical simulation of NACA0015 hydrofoil,two ROM methods are used to reduce and restore three different cavitation respectively-proper orthogonal decomposition(POD)and dynamic mode decomposition(DMD).The applicability of two methods in cavitation is discussed and reasons are analyzed.The results show that for stable cavitation,POD,DMD methods can accurately restore the flow field of a few modes with high energy.For unstable cavitation,only POD method can restore real flow field well.This situation is mainly due to the fact that POD,DMD method are applicable to different energy ratios,and different main mode selection criterion of DMD will lead to different main mode.ROM can greatly simplify the complexity of flow.Selecting a reasonable ROM can improve the accuracy of a small amount of database,and provide a basis for intelligent prediction of flow analysis.

To the Editor:Diabetic chronic cutaneous ulcers(DCUs)are among the most common and serious complications of diabetes mellitus.Diabetic foot ulcers are the most common type of DCU and are now considered a global epidemic.[1]The clinical prevention and treatment of DCUs are critical and have remained challenging for clinicians.With the exploration of topical treatment methods,autologous platelet-rich gel(APG)is regarded as an adjuvant therapy to promote wound healing,and it has been widely used for wound repair.[2]Some microRNAs that play a critical role in the whole wound healing process have been found in wound tissues,which we call wound-related miRNAs(wr-miRNAs).However,few studies have explored the dynamic changes of wr-miRNAs during APG treatment.Our study aimed to evaluate the efficacy of APG in treating diabetic wounds and explore the dynamic changes of wr-miRNAs during wound healing.

A landscape management analysis framework and its preliminary application in Ejina Oasis, Northwest China

The implementation of integrated landscape management to support local and regional human well-being is crucial in arid regions,but its application to date is very limited.Although analytical frameworks have been established to maximize ecosystem services via trade-offs between different landscape configurations,consumption factors such as water resources are rarely and weakly considered in such frameworks.In this paper,an improved integrated landscape-management analysis framework,called the Consumption-integrated Landscape Management to Ecosystem Service(CLMES),is proposed.In this framework,consumption factors are integrated at the same level as ecosystem services.The improved analytical framework is then used to assess and optimize landscape design in the Ejina Oasis,an extremely arid region in western China.Three landscape conditions(past,current,and future)are evaluated,based on the CLMES.Our results indicate that the Heihe River water-allocation program effectively promoted ecosystem services in the Ejina Oasis from 2000 to 2011.However,the excessive expansion of cropland led to a slight decline in habitat quality.An optimized landscape configuration and policy suggestions are proposed,which may be beneficial to the improvement of total water-use efficiency,oasis stability,and resilience of the ecological?social system in the Ejina Oasis.

Molecular phylogenetics and population demographic history of Amphioctopus fangsiao,inferred from mitochondrial and microsatellite DNA markers

Amphioctopus fangsiao(Cephalopoda:Octopodidae)is an important commercial species in the coastal waters of China.In recent years,however,the resource of A.fangsiao have declined because of habitat destruction and overfishing.To analyze the genetic variations of A.fangsiao caused by the fluctuation of resources,the population genetic structure of nine sampling locations collected from the Bohai Sea to the South China Sea were investigated,using mtDNA COI fragments and microsatellite DNA.The results of F-statistics,AMOVA,STRUCTURE and PCA analyses showed three phylogeographic clades(Clades A,B and C),revealing limited genetic exchange between north and south populations.These clades diverged in 2.23(Clades A and B)and 3.67(Clades A,B and C)million years ago,during the dramatic environmental fluctuations,such as sea level and temperature changes,have exerted great influence on the survival distribution pattern of global organisms.Our results for low genetic connectivity among A.fangsiao populations provide insights into the development of management strategies,that is,to manage this species as separate management unit.

Medication-related osteonecrosis of the jaw(MRONJ)is primarily associated with administering antiresorptive or antiangiogenic drugs.Despite significant research on MRONJ,its pathogenesis and effective treatments are still not fully understood.Animal models can be used to simulate the pathophysiological features of MRONJ,serving as standardized in vivo experimental platforms to explore the pathogenesis and therapies of MRONJ.Rodent models exhibit excellent effectiveness and high reproducibility in mimicking human MRONJ,but classical methods cannot achieve a complete replica of the pathogenesis of MRONJ.Modified rodent models have been reported with improvements for better mimicking of MRONJ onset in clinic.This review summarizes representative classical and modified rodent models of MRONJ created through various combinations of systemic drug induction and local stimulation and discusses their effectiveness and efficiency.Currently,there is a lack of a unified assessment system for MRONJ models,which hinders a standard definition of MRONJ-like lesions in rodents.Therefore,this review comprehensively summarizes assessment systems based on published peer-review articles,including new approaches in gross observation,histological assessments,radiographic assessments,and serological assessments.This review can serve as a reference for model establishment and evaluation in future preclinical studies on MRONJ.
