Complex optimization problems hold broad significance across numerous fields and ***,as the dimensionality of such problems increases,issues like the curse of dimensionality and local optima trapping also *** address these challenges,this paper proposes a novel Wild Gibbon Optimization Algorithm(WGOA)based on an analysis of wild gibbon population *** two strategies:community search and community *** community search strategy facilitates information exchange between two gibbon families,generating multiple candidate solutions to enhance algorithm ***,the community competition strategy reselects leaders for the population after each iteration,thus enhancing algorithm *** assess the algorithm’s performance,CEC2017 and CEC2022 are chosen as test *** the CEC2017 test suite,WGOA secures first place in 10 *** the CEC2022 benchmark functions,WGOA obtained the first rank in 5 *** ultimate experimental findings demonstrate that theWildGibbonOptimization Algorithm outperforms others in tested *** underscores the strong robustness and stability of the gibbonalgorithm in tackling complex single-objective optimization problems.

All-solid-state batteries(AssBs)are a class of safer and higher-energy-density materials compared to conventional devices,from which solid-state electrolytes(ssEs)are their essential *** date,investigations to search for high ion-conducting solid-state electrolytes have attracted broad ***,obtaining ssEs with high ionic conductivity is challenging due to the complex structural information and the less-explored structure-performance *** provide a solution to these challenges,developing a database containing typical ssEs from available experimental reports would be a new avenue to understand the structureperformance relationships and find out new design guidelines for reasonable ***,a dynamic experimental database containing>600 materials was developed in a wide range of temperatures(132.40–1261.60 K),including mono-and divalent cations(e.g.,Li^(+),Na^(+),K^(+),Ag^(+),Ca^(2+),Mg^(2+),and Zn^(2+))and various types of anions(e.g.,halide,hydride,sulfide,and oxide).Data-mining was conducted to explore the relationships among different variates(e.g.,transport ion,composition,activation energy,and conductivity).Overall,we expect that this database can provide essential guidelines for the design and development of high-performance ssEs in AssB *** database is dynamically updated,which can be accessed via our open-source online system.

Background There is increasing epidemiological evidence supporting the association between onchocerciasis and seizures, reinforcing the concept of onchocerciasis-associated epilepsy (OAE). The aim of this paper is to provide an update on the new knowledge about OAE and to propose recommendations to the World Health Organization how to address this public health *** text During the 2nd International Workshop on OAE held on 19-21 september, 2023, in Antwerp, Belgium, participants recognised OAE as a substantial yet neglected public health problem, particularly in areas of sub-saharan Africa where onchocerciasis remains hyperendemic. Evidence from prospective population-based studies suggest that strengthening onchocerciasis elimination efforts leads to a significant reduction of OAE incidence. There is a need to validate an OAE case definition to estimate the burden of disease and identify onchocerciasis-endemic areas requiring intensification of onchocerciasis elimination programmes and integration of epilepsy care. It is expected that raising awareness about OAE will boost the population uptake of ivermectin. The implementation of a community-based epilepsy treatment programme offering free anti-seizure medications (AsMs) has shown high effectiveness in reducing the frequency of seizures and improving the overall quality of life of people with *** To reduce OAE burden, enhanced collaboration between onchocerciasis and mental health programmes at community, national, and international levels is required. Urgent efforts are needed to ensure the uninterrupted provision of free AsMs in onchocerciasis-endemic areas. Furthermore, OAE should be included in the quantification of the onchocerciasis disease burden.

Friction stir spot welding (FssW) was applied to 2.0 mm thick steel plate cold-rolled commercial (sPCC) low carbon steel plates at a very low rotation speed that ranged from 5 to 50rpm, which was much lower than that generally used for the conventional FssW technique. Due to the very low heat input, the welding processes could therefore be completed at a peak welding temperature below 160℃. As a result, a significantly refined microstructure with an average grain size of about 0.41μm was formed in the stir zone of the joints and the JI {0-11 } and J2{1-1O} shear textures were the dominant components, which are different from the D1{11-2} and D2{-1-12} shear textures formed in the conventional FssW joints. In addition, no heat affected zone could be detected along the crosssectional plane of the joints. Although a few void-like non-bonded areas were still observed along the interface between the upper and lower steel plates, the shear tensile loads of the joints increased to about 10.0 kN when welded at a condition of 8t, 20rpm and 30 s, and the joints fractured through the plug failure mode.

The plasma actuation (PA) effect on the snow falling flow was investigated using a plasma electrode with weather resistant design and the natural snow wind facility of the Hokkaido University of science. NACA0015 test blade with chord length c of 300 mm was used. Wind tunnel tests were carried out under the angle of the attack of the blade was fixed at 15 degrees, and the main flow velocity is U=5 m/s. PIV (Particle image velocimetry) measurements were conducted on various PA conditions using natural dry snowflakes as a tracer. When the actuator was driven under the condition of the fundamental frequency of F=50 kHz, and the pulsed modulated frequency f of fc/U=1 and Duty ratio (Ratio of plasma ON time to pulse duration time) =1%, movement of snowflakes was controlled the most effectively tested. It was clarified that the fundamental frequency of PA also affects the control of snow flow. Under snowfall conditions, the weather resistant designed plasma electrode has suffered no damage and operated successfully.
