For three weeks in October 2009, the U.s. Department of Energy hosted the solar Decathlon Competition in which 20 teams of college and university students competed to design, build, and operate their own version of a solar-powered house. Team North＇s mission was to deliver North House, a compelling, marketable solar powered home for people with active lifestyles, while building Canada＇s next generation of leaders in sustainable engineering, business and design. This paper deals with a solar-assisted space heating system that was studied as a potential design for the competition. Among several other conclusions, it was found that using a solar-assisted in-floor heating system can decrease the energy consumption to only 8% of the case without the in-floor loop.

Purpose:This study compared the relative effectiveness of Chinese calligraphy handwriting(CCH)and acupuncture in the treatment of patients with senile *** and Methods:A randomized controlled trial(RCT)with 17 mild-to-moderate dementia patients with an average age of 77.29 years were randomly assigned with 9 to the calligraphy handwriting group and 8 to the acupuncture treatment group for a month of consecutive *** participants'cognitive abilities,as well as symptoms of senile dementia,were measured by the Chinese version of the Mini-mental state Examination(CMMsE)and the Chinese Medicine Quantitative Diagnostic survey for senile Dementia symptoms,respectively,before and after the ***:The calligraphy group showed a significant increase in calculation and memory as well as a decline in the symptoms of senile *** in the acupuncture group experienced a significant growth in total CMMsE scores and the subscales in orientation to time and place,behavioral operations,as well as reduced clinical ***,no significant changes were found in their memory and calculation ***:Both CCH and acupuncture treatments were found significantly effective for,respectively,enhancing the patients'cognitive abilities and reducing their clinical ***,calligraphy handwriting also improved the level of their attention and concentration,physical relaxation,and emotional stability.

This paper analyzes developments and trends related to China＇s outward direct and financial investments by examining Chinese firms＇ overseas acquisitions, China＇s holdings of Us Treasury securities, and the recently formally launched Qualified Domestic Institutional Investor programs. strategies should be developed to reach optimal decisions for both direct and por（folio investments. We argue that China should have a longer-term view for both direct and portfolio investments, enabling China to become the leader in Asia while maintaining its sustainable growth objective. China should invest heavily in the development of the Asian bond market and the Asian Currency Fund when making both por（folio and direct investment decisions.

Prostate cancer is one of the most common cancers in men worldwide, and the number of diagnosed patients has dramatically increased in recent years. Currently, the clinical parameters used to diagnose prostate cancer, such as Gleason score, pathological tumor staging, and prostate-specific antigen(PsA) expression level, are considered insufficient to inform recommendation to guide clinical practice. Thus, identification of a novel biomarker is necessary. TWIsT is one of the well-studied targets and is correlated with cancer invasion and metastasis in several human cancers. We have investigated two largest prostate cancer patient cohorts available in GEO database and found that TWIsT expression is positive correlated with Gleason score and associated with poorer survival. By using a prostate cancer cohort and a prostate cancer cell line dataset, we have identified three potential downstream targets of TWIsT, PPM1 A, sRP72 and TBCB. TWIsT's prognostic capacity is lost when the gene is mutated. Further investigation in the prostate cancer cohort revealed that gene expression of sERPINA, sTX7, PDIA2, FMP5, GP1 BB, VGLL4,KCNMA1, sHMT2, sAA4 and DIDO1 influence the prognostic significance of TWIsT and vice versa. Importantly, eight out of these ten genes are prognostic indicator by itself. In conclusion, our study has further confirmed that TWIsT is a prognostic marker in prostate cancer, identified its potential downstream targets and genes that could possibly give additional prognostic value to predict TWIsT-mediated prostate cancer progression.

CA-125 significance in Cirrhosis and Correlation with Disease severity and Portal Hypertension: A Retrospective study
