4-1BB(CD137)is a strong enhancer of the proliferation of CD8^(+)T *** these cells require increased production of energy and biomass to support their proliferation,we hypothesized that 4-1BB signaling activated glucose and fatty acid *** found that treatment with agonistic anti-4-1BB mAb promoted the proliferation of CD8^(+)T cells in vitro,increasing their size and *** with a glycolysis inhibitor and a fatty acid oxidation inhibitor revealed that CD8^(+)T cell proliferation required both glucose and fatty acid ***-4-1BB treatment increased glucose transporter 1 expression and activated the liver kinase B1(LKB1)-AMP-activated protein kinase(AMPK)-acetyl-CoA carboxylase(ACC)signaling pathway,which may be responsible for activating the metabolism of glucose and fatty *** also examined whether blocking glucose or fatty acid metabolism affected cell cycle progression and the anti-apoptotic effect of 4-1BB *** increase of anti-apoptotic factors and cyclins in response to anti-4-1BB treatment was completely prevented by treating CD8^(+)T cells with the fatty acid oxidation inhibitor,etomoxir,but not with the glycolysis inhibitor,*** conclude that anti-4-1BB treatment activates glucose and fatty acid metabolism thus supporting the increased demand for energy and biomass,and that fatty acid metabolism plays a crucial role in enhancing the cell cycle progression of anti-CD3-activated CD8^(+)T cells in vitro and the anti-apoptotic effects of 4-1BB signaling on these cells.

Highly textured dense Ca3-xyxCo4 O9+δ(0≤x≤0.3)samples were fabricated by combining sol-gel process with spark plasma sintering(sPs).y^3+substitution for Ca^2+simultaneously increased the seebeck coefficient and reduced the thermal *** latter was attributed to the increase in lattice anharmonicity.s.ructural distortion,and grain boundary area,which enhanced the phonon ***2.7y0.3Co4 O9+δshowed the largest dimensionless figure-of-merit(ZT=0.194)at 1073 K because it had the largest seebeck coefficient and the lowest thermal *** ZT value was 55%larger than that of undoped Ca3 Co4 O9(0.125 at 1073 K).Therefore,y^3+substitution,sol-gel powder synthesis,and sPs are highly effective for enhancing the thermoelectric prope rties of Ca_(3)Co_(4)O_(9).

A new type of symmetry,ren-symmetry,describing anyon physics and corresponding topological physics,is ***-symmetry is a generalization of super-symmetry which is widely applied in super-symmetric physics such as super-symmetric quantum mechanics,super-symmetric gravity.s.per-symmetric string theory.s.per-symmetric integrable systems and so *** and Grassmann numbers are,in some sense,dual conceptions,and it turns out that these conceptions coincide for the ren situation,that is,a similar conception of ren-number(R-number)is devised for *** particular,some basic results of the R-number and ren-symmetry are exposed which allow one to derive,in principle,some new types of integrable systems including ren-integrable models and ren-symmetric integrable *** examples of ren-integrable KdV-type systems and ren-symmetric KdV equations are explicitly given.

synchronous triple occurrence of MALT lymphoma, schwannoma, and adenocarcinoma of the stomach

We present a case of a 56-year-old man with 3 synchronous gastric tumors. The patient presented with melena, and 3 gastric abnormalities were detected on gastroduodenoscopic examination, including a small ulcerative lesion in the gastric antrum, a submucosal mass in the gastric body, and severe erosion in the fundus. Histological examination of biopsy.s.mples yielded respective diagnoses of gastric adenocarcinoma, gastritis, and mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue(MALT) lymphoma. The patient first received medication to eradicate any underlying Helicobacter pylori infection, which might have been a cause of the MALT lymphoma. Four weeks later, after examination of repeat biopsy.s.mples revealed that the MALT lymphoma had resolved, the patient underwent subtotal gastrectomy. Further histological examination of resected tissue confirmed the antrum lesion as adenocarcinoma and the body lesion as schwannoma. To our knowledge, this is the first reported case of synchronous triple primary gastric adenocarcinoma, MALT lymphoma, and schwannoma.

The Effect of Non-equilibrium Condensation on the Drag Coefficient in a Transonic Airfoil Flow

In this study, a transonic flow past NACA0012 profile at angle of attack α=0^0 whose aspect ratio AR is 1.0 with non-equilibrium condensation is analyzed by numerical analysis using a TVD scheme and is investigated using an intermittent indraft type supersonic wind tunnel. Transonic flows of 0.78-0.90 in free stream Mach number with the variations of the stagnation relative humidity（φ0） are tested. For the same free stream Mach number, the increase in φ0 causes decrease in the drag coefficient of profile which is composed of the drag components of form, viscous and wave. In the case of the same Moo and To, for more than φ0=30%, despite the irreversibility of process in non-equilibrium condensation, the drag by.s.ock wave decreases considerably with the increase of φ0. On the other hand, it shows that the effect of condensation on the drag coefficients of form and viscous is negligible. As an example, the decreasing rate in the drag coefficient of profile caused by the influence of non-equilibrium condensation for the case of M∞=0.9 and φ0 =50% amounts to 34%. Also, it were turned out that the size of supersonic bubble （that is, the maximum height of supersonic zone） and the deviation of pressure coefficient from the value for M=1 decrease with the increase of φ0 for the same M∞.

Performance of LIDAR- and radar-based turbulence intensity measurement in comparison with anemometer-based turbulence intensity estimation based on aircraft data for a typical case of terrain-induced turbulence in association with a typhoon

The Hong Kong Observatory (HKO) provides low-level turbulence alerting service for the Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) through the windshear and turbulence warning system (WTWs). In the WTWs, turbulence intensities along the flight paths of the airport are estimated based upon correlation equations established between the surface anemometer data and the turbulence data from research aircraft before the opening of the airport. The research aircraft data are not available on day-to-day basis. The remote sensing meteorological instruments, such as the Doppler light detection and ranging (LIDAR) and radar, may be used to provide direct measurements of turbulence intensities over the runway corridors. The performances of LIDAR- and radar-based turbulence intensity data are studied in this paper based on actual turbulence intensity measurements made on 423 commercial jets for a typical case of terrain-induced turbulence in association with a typhoon. It turns out that, with the tuning of the relative operating characteristic (ROC) curve between hit rate and false alarm rate, the LIDAR-based turbulence intensity measurement performs better than the anemometer-based estimation of WTWs for turbulence intensity at moderate level or above. On the other hand, the radar-based measurement does not perform as well when compared with WTWs. By combining LIDAR- and radar-based measurements, the performance is slightly better than WTWs, mainly as a result of contribution from LIDAR-based measurement. As a result, the LIDAR-based turbulence intensity measurement could be used to replace anemometer-based estimate for non-rainy weather conditions. Further enhancements of radar-based turbulence intensity measurement in rain would be necessary.

Effect of si Content on Mechanical Properties of a Mo and V Free Low Alloy Cast steel for Automobile Cold Pressing Die

The effects of si content on combinations of important properties such as hardness, hardenability, and weldability in addition to strength increment were systematically investigated to develop a Mo and V free low alloy cast steel for automobile cold pressing die insert. For the evaluation of the applicability as the die insert, the mechanical properties were measured after spheroidization annealing （sA）, quenching and tempering （Q/T）, and flame hardening （FH） treatments, respectively. The developed 0.8%-1.6%si containing Mo and V free alloy cast steels showed excellent matrix strengthening effect, hardenability, and weldability, fulfilling the industrial criterion of the mechanical properties for the die insert.

In this article,we explored the role of adipose tissue,especially mesenteric adipose tissue and creeping fat,and its association with the gut microbiota in the pathophysiology and progression of Crohn’s disease(CD).CD is a form of inflammatory bowel disease characterized by chronic inflammation of the gastrointestinal tract,influenced by genetic predisposition,gut microbiota dysbiosis,and environmental *** microbiota plays a crucial role in modulating immune response and intestinal inflammation and is associated with the onset and progression of ***,visceral adipose tissue,particularly creeping fat,a mesenteric adipose tissue characterized by hypertrophy and fibrosis,has been implicated in CD pathogenesis,inflammation,and *** bacteria from the gut microbiota may translocate into mesenteric adipose tissue,contributing to the formation of creeping fat and influencing CD *** creeping fat may be a protective barrier against bacterial invasion,its expansion can damage adjacent tissues,leading to *** gut microbiota through interventions such as fecal microbiota transplantation,probiotics,and prebiotics has shown potential in managing ***,more research is needed to clarify the mechanisms linking gut dysbiosis,creeping fat,and CD progression and develop targeted therapies for microbiota modulation and fat-related complications in patients with CD.

A novel Mg-Gd-y-Zn-Cu-Ni alloy with excellent combination of strength and dissolution via peak-aging treatment

Inferior absolute strength and dissolution properties are the main bottlenecks for the widespread application of dissolvable magnesium alloys in complex working environments for unconventional oil and gas ***,a novel functional peak-aged Mg-9.5Gd-2.7y-0.9Zn-0.8Cu-0.4Ni(wt.%) alloy for fracturing tools is reported,and it possesses an ultimate tensile strength of 457.6 MPa,ultimate compressive strength of 620.7 MPa and dissolution rate of ~43.7 mg·cm^(-2)·h^(-1) in 3 wt.% KCl solutions at 93℃.The excellent strength of the agedalloy is primarily attributed to the combination of grain refinement,long-period stacking ordered(LPsO) strengthening,and precipitation strengthening induced by.s.acking fault and β’ phase,among which the precipitation strengthening is *** investigations confirm that the corrosion is triggered from the micro-galvanic coupling between the Mg matrix and the cathodic lamellar and block LPsO ***-shaped corrosion pits along with LPsO phases are subsequently formed,significantly accelerating *** β’ precipitates can effectively improve the strength without compromising the dissolution rate because of their nanoscale *** study provides an excellent material selection for dissolvable fracturing tools and presents a strategy by which a synergistic combination of strength and dissolution rate is achieved via peak-aging treatment.
