Towards fast focal mechanism inversion of shallow crustal earthquakes in the Chinese mainland

We have developed an automatic regional focal mechanism inversion system based on the Earthquake Rapid Report(ERR) system and the real-time three-component seismic waveform stream of 1 000 broadband seismic stations provided by the China Earthquake Networks Center(CENC). The system can rapidly provide a double couple solution and centroid depth within 5–15 min after receiving earthquake information from the ERR *** data processing is triggered by earthquake information obtained from the ERR system. The system is capable of determining the focal mechanism of all shallow-depth earthquakes in the Chinese mainland with a magnitude of 5.5–6.5. It utilizes waveform data recorded by seismic stations located within 500 km from the epicenter,enabling the reporting of a focal mechanism solution within 5–15 min of an earthquake occurrence. Additionally,the system can assign a corresponding grade(A b C) to the focal mechanism solution. We processed a total of 301earthquakes that occurred from 2021 to June 2022, and after the quality control, 166 of them were *** selected solutions were manually checked, and 160 of them were compiled in a focal mechanism *** catalog can be conveniently downloaded online via the Internet. The automatic focal mechanism solution of earthquakes in eastern China exhibits a good agreement with that provided by the Global Centroid Moment Tensor(GCMT), when available. The average Kagan angle between this catalog and GCMT is 22°, and the average difference in MWis 0.17. Furthermore, compared with GCMT, the minimum magnitude of our catalog has been reduced from approximately 5.0 to 4.0. The correlation between the centroid depth and crustal thickness in the Chinese mainland confirms the distribution of the centroid depth.

Linear canonical transform is of much significance to optics and information science. Hardy uncertainty principle, like Heisenberg uncertainty principle, plays an important role in various fields. In this paper, four new sharper Hardy uncertainty relations on linear canonical transform are derived. These new derived uncertainty relations are connected with the linear canonical transform parameters and indicate new insights for signal energy concentration. Especially, for certain transform parameters, e.g. b=0, these new proposed uncertainty relations break the traditional counterparts in signal energy concentration, as will result in new physical interpretation in terms of uncertainty principle. Theoretical analysis and numerical examples are given to show the efficiency of these new relations.

Joint communication-caching-computing resource allocation in wireless inland waterway communications enables resource-constrained unmanned surface vehicles(USVs) to provision computation-intensive and latencysensitive tasks forward beyond fifth-generation(b5G) and sixth-generation(6G) era. The power of such resource allocation cannot be fully studied unless bidirectional data computation is properly managed. A novel intelligent reflecting surface(IRS)-assisted hybrid UAV-terrestrial network architecture is proposed with bidirectional tasks. The sum of uplink and downlink bandwidth minimization problem is formulated by jointly considering link quality, task execution mode selection, UAVs trajectory, and task execution latency constraints. A heuristic algorithm is proposed to solve the formulated challenging problem. We divide the original challenging problem into two subproblems, i.e., the joint optimization problem of USVs offloading decision, caching decision and task execution mode selection, and the joint optimization problem of UAVs trajectory and IRS phase shift-vector design. The Karush–Kuhn–Tucker conditions are utilized to solve the first subproblem and the enhanced differential evolution algorithm is proposed to solve the latter one. The results show that the proposed solution can significantly decrease bandwidth consumption in comparison with the selected advanced algorithms. The results also prove that the sum of bandwidth can be remarkably decreased by implementing a higher number of IRS elements.

Cross-lingual summarization(CLS)is the task of generating a summary in a target language from a document in a source ***,end-to-end CLS models have achieved impressive results using large-scale,high-quality datasets typically constructed by translating monolingual summary corpora into CLS ***,due to the limited performance of low-resource language translation models,translation noise can seriously degrade the performance of these *** this paper,we propose a fine-grained reinforcement learning approach to address low-resource CLS based on noisy *** introduce the source language summary as a gold signal to alleviate the impact of the translated noisy target ***,we design a reinforcement reward by calculating the word correlation and word missing degree between the source language summary and the generated target language summary,and combine it with cross-entropy loss to optimize the CLS *** validate the performance of our proposed model,we construct Chinese-Vietnamese and Vietnamese-Chinese CLS *** results show that our proposed model outperforms the baselines in terms of both the ROUGE score and bERTScore.

The aim of this study was to evaluate the factors influencing the inactivation effect of intense pulsed light(IPL)on Aeromonas salmonicida grown on chicken meat and skin,and to further develop prediction models of *** this work,chicken meat and skin inoculated with meat-borne *** isolates were subjected to IPL treatments under different *** results showed that IPL had obvious bactericidal effect in the chicken skin and thickness groups when the treatment voltage and time were 7 V combined with 5 *** addition,the lethality curves of *** were fitted under IPL conditions of 3.5-7.5 *** comparison of statistical parameters revealed that the Weibull model could best fit the mortality curves and could accurately predict the mortality dynamic of *** grown on chicken *** further a secondary model between the scale factor b and the treatment voltage in Weibull model was established using linear equations,which determined that the secondary model could accurately predict the inactivation of *** study provides a theoretical basis for future prediction models of Aeromonas,and also provides new ideas for sterilization approaches of meat-borne Aeromonas.
