In past decades,retinal diseases have become more common and affect people of all age grounds over the *** examining retinal eye disease,an artificial intelligence(AI)based multilabel classification model is needed for automated *** analyze the retinal malady.t.e sy.t.m proposes a multiclass and multi-label arrangement ***,the classification frameworks based on features are explicitly described by ophthalmologists under the application of domain knowledge,which tends to be time-consuming,vulnerable generalization ability,and unfeasible in massive ***,the automated diagnosis of multi-retinal diseases becomes essential,which can be solved by.t.e deep learning(DL)*** this motivation,this paper presents an intelligent deep learningbased multi-retinal disease diagnosis(IDL-MRDD)framework using fundus *** proposed model aims to classify.t.e color fundus images into different classes namely AMD,DR,Glaucoma,Hypertensive Retinopathy,Normal,Others,and Pathological ***,the artificial flora algorithm with Shannon’s function(AFA-SF)basedmulti-level thresholding technique is employed for image segmentation and thereby.t.e infected regions can be properly *** addition,SqueezeNet based feature extractor is employed to generate a collection of feature ***,the stacked sparse Autoencoder(SSAE)model is applied as a classifier to distinguish the input images into distinct retinal *** efficacy of the IDL-MRDD technique is carried out on a benchmark multi-retinal disease dataset,comprising data instances from different *** experimental values pointed out the superior outcome over the existing techniques with the maximum accuracy of 0.963.

the transmission ratio along the radian direction normal to the joints was studied in the Universal Distinct Element Code （UDEC）. the variation of the transmission ratio with the ratio of joint spacing to wavelength was generalized into a general curve, which was determined by.t.o critical points. the relationship between the two critical points and the affecting factors, quantity of joints and the normalized normal stiffness of joints, were obtained. A prediction model of the transmission ratio in the radian direction normal to the joints was proposed. the proposed model was applied to a field explosion test. the estimated values of the peak particle velocity from the prediction model were compared with the field records. the comparisons showed that the prediction model of the transmission ratio in the direction normal to the joints in the process of 2-D compressional wave propagation through multiple parallel joints is reliable.

Using immune cell-based bioactivity assays to compare the inflammatory activities of oil sands process-affected waters from a pilot scale demonstration pit lake

In this study,we provide evidence that oil sands process-affected waters(OSPW)contain factors that activate the antimicrobial and proinflammatory responses of immune ***,using the murine macrophage RAW 264.7 cell line,we establish the bioactivity of two different OSPW samples and their isolated ***,we directly compared the bioactivity of two pilot scale demonstration pit lake(DPL)water samples,which included expressed water from treated tailings(termed the before water capping sample;BWC)as well as an after water capping(AWC)sample consisting of a mixture of expressed water,precipitation,upland runoff,coagulated OSPW and added *** inflammatory(*** activating)bioactivity was associated with the AWC sample and its organic fraction(OF),whereas the BWC sample had reduced bioactivity.t.at was primarily associated with its inorganic fraction(IF).Overall,these results indicate that at non-toxic exposure doses,the RAW 264.7 cell line serves as an acute,sensitive and reliable biosensor for the screening of inflammatory constituents within and among discrete OSPW samples.

the sy.t.esis of biological silicon nano-particles(Bio-Si-NPs)is an eco-friendly and lowcost *** is no study focusing on the effect of Bio-Si-NPs on the plants grown on saline soil contaminated with heavy *** this study,an attempt was made to sy.t.esis Bio-Si-NPs using potassium silica florid substrate,and the identified Aspergillus tubingensis AM11 isolate that separated from distribution sy.t.ms of the potable water.A twoyear field trial was conducted to compare the protective effects of Bio-Si-NPs(2.5 and 5.0 mmol/L)and potassium silicate(10 mmol/L)as a foliar spray on the antioxidant defense sy.t.m,physio-biochemical components,and the contaminants contents of Phaseolus vulgaris *** on saline soil contaminated with heavy *** findings showed that all treatments of Bio-Si-NPs and potassium silicate significantly improved plant growth and production,chlorophylls,carotenoids,transpiration rate,net photosy.t.etic rate,stomatal conductance,membrane stability index,relative water content,free proline,total soluble sugars,N,P,K,Ca2+,K+/Na+,and the activities of peroxidase,catalase,ascorbic peroxidase and superoxide oxide *** of Bio-Si-NPs and potassium silicate significantly decreased electrolyte leakage,malondialdehyde,H2 O2,O2·-,Na+,Pb,Cd,and Ni in leaves and pods of Phaseolus vulgaris *** to ***-Si-NPs were more effective compared to potassium *** of Bio-Si-NPs at the rate of 5 mmol/L was the recommended treatment to enhance the performance and reduce heavy metals content on plants grown on contaminated saline soils.

the Coronavirus Disease(COVID-19)pandemic has exposed the vulnerabilities of medical services across the globe,especially in underdeveloped *** the aftermath of the COVID-19 outbreak,a strong demand exists for developing novel computer-assisted diagnostic tools to execute rapid and cost-effective screenings in locations where many screenings cannot be executed using conventional *** imaging has become a crucial component in the disease diagnosis process,whereas X-rays and Computed tomography(Ct)scan imaging are employed in a deep network to diagnose the *** general,four steps are followed in image-based diagnostics and disease classification processes by making use of the neural networks,such as network training,feature extraction,model performance testing and optimal feature *** current research article devises a Chaotic Flower Pollination Algorithm with a Deep Learning-Driven Fusion(CFPADLDF)approach for detecting and classifying *** presented CFPA-DLDF model is developed by integrating two DL models to recognize COVID-19 in medical ***,the proposed CFPA-DLDF technique employs the Gabor Filtering(GF)approach to pre-process the input *** addition,a weighted voting-based ensemble model is employed for feature extraction,in which both VGG-19 and the MixNet models are ***,the CFPA with Recurrent Neural Network(RNN)model is utilized for classification,showing the work’s novelty.A comparative analysis was conducted to demonstrate the enhanced performance of the proposed CFPADLDF model,and the results established the supremacy of the proposed CFPA-DLDF model over recent approaches.

the machining of hard-to-cut materials with a high degree of precision and high surface quality is one of the most critical considerations when fabricating various state-of-the-art engineered *** this investigation,a comprehensive three-dimensional model was developed and numerically simulated to predict kerf profiles and material removal rates while drilling the aluminum-7075-t6 aerospace *** profile and material removal prediction involved three stages:jet dynamic flow modeling,abrasive particle tracking,and erosion rate *** investigations were conducted to validate the developed *** results indicate that the jet dynamic characteristics and flow of abrasive particles alter the kerf profiles,where the top kerf diameter increases with increasing jet pressure and standoff *** kerf depth and hole aspect ratio increase with jet pressure,but decrease with standoff distance and machining *** profiles were characterized by progressive edge rounding and parabolic *** can be minimized by utilizing high jet pressure and small standoff *** material removal rate increases with increasing jet pressure,abrasive particle size,and exposure time,but decreases with increasing standoff distance.

Sy.t.esis, in vitro antitumor activity and molecular modeling studies of a new series of benzothiazole Schiff bases

A new series of benzothiazole Schiff bases 3–29 was sy.t.esized and screened for antitumor activity against cervical cancer（Hela） and kidney fibroblast cancer（COS-7） cell lines. Results indicated that compounds 3, 14, 19, 27 and 28 have promising activity against Hela cell line with IC50 values of 2.41,3.06, 6.46, 2.22 and 6.25 mmol/L, respectively, in comparison to doxorubicin as a reference antitumor agent（IC50 2.05 mmol/L）. In addition, compound 3 displayed excellent activity against COS-7 cell line with IC50 value of 4.31 mmol/L in comparison to doxorubicin（IC50 3.04 mmol/L）. In the present work,structure based pharmacophore mapping, molecular docking, protein-ligand interaction, fingerprints and binding energy calculations were employed in a virtual screening strategy.t. identify.t.e interaction between the compounds and the active site of the putative target, EGFR tyrosine kinase. Molecular properties, toxicity, drug-likeness, and drug score profiles of compounds 3, 14, 19, 27, 28 and 29 were also assessed.

Safety and efficacy of photodynamic therapy using BCECF-AM compared to mitomycin C in controlling post-operative fibrosis in a rabbit model of subscleral trabeculectomy

AIM： to evaluate the safety and efficacy of cellular photoablation using BCECF-AM [2, t-bis-（2-carboxy.t.yl） -5-（and-6）-carboxyfluorescein, acetoxymethyl ester mixed isomersl as a method to control postoperative fibrosis in subscleral trabeculectomy （SSt） compared to mitomycin C （MMC） in a rabbit model. MEtHODS： A comparative prospective case-control animal study was conducted. Fourteen rabbits were subjected to SSt with intraoperaUve use of wound modulating agents （MMC or BCECF-AM） of the right eye （study groups I and II respectively） and SSt without use of intraoperative wound modulating agents for the left eye （control group II）. two rabbits 4 eyes were considered as control group I with no surgical intervention. BCECF-AM was injected subconjunctivally 30min before surgery followed by intraoperative illumination with diffuse blue light for 10min. Antifibrotic efficacy was established by clinical response and histological examination. Clinical response was assessed by measuring intraocular pressure （lOP） at day 1, 3, 5, 7, 14, 21 postoperatively, Success was defined by 〉20.0% reduction in lOP from the preoperative values without anti-glaucoma medications. RESULtS： the mean percentage of reduction was 35.0% in the study group I with only one eye （14.3%） had 12.5% reduction. the mean percentage of reduction was 28.0% in the study group U with two eyes （28.6%） in study group II had 14.2% reduction each. Regarding the control group II, the mean percentage of reduction was 14.3% with 64.3% eyes had 〈20.0% reduction. there was a highly statistically significant difference between each of the study groups （right eyes） and the corresponding control group II （left eyes） as regards the mean postoperative lOP values started from day 5 in both study groups and this highly significant difference remained so till the end of the follow up period. Residual stresses induced during turning processes can affect thequality and performance of machined products,depending on its direction and *** stresses can be highly detrimental as they can lead to creeping,fatigue,and stress corrosion *** final state of residual stresses in a workpiece depends on its material as well as the cutting-tool configuration such as tool geometry/coating,cooling and wear conditions,and process parameters including the cutting speed,depth-ofcut and ***,there have been disagreements in some literatures regarding influences of the abovementioned factors on residual stresses due to different cutting conditions,tool parameters and workpiece materials used in the specific *** review paper categorizes different methods in experimental,numerical and analytical approaches employed for determining induced residual stresses and their relationships with cutting conditions in a turning *** is presented for the effects of different cutting conditions and parameters on the final residual stresses state.
