Quantum dots have been widely applied in biosensing due to their outstanding optical *** emissions of quantum dots are mainly determined by their composition and size,as described by the Brus’s ***,in this case,their emissions are hardly regulated reversibly and responsively,which are unsuitable for biosensing and *** the last decade,capping ligands have been used for designing biosensors because of their responsive regulation on the photoluminescence of quantum ***,we first summarize the advances in characterization and calculation specific for ligands,which have helped to provide insights into the photoluminescence process and energy band theory of quantum *** then review two ways of ligand design that influence the optical properties of quantum dots:affecting the process of photoluminescence,or the orbital/electronic *** the latter case,the atoms on both the ligand and the surface of the quantum dot interact to affect the energy band structure of the quantum dot *** are presented of how these quantum dots that possess responsive properties due to the design of the ligands have been applied to *** further exploration,we hope to see advances in the fundamental understanding of the energy band structures and practical applications of these quantum dots.

Triboelectric nanogenerators(TENGs)have emerged as a promising approach for generating electricity and providing electrical stimuli in medical electronic *** their potential benefits,the clinical implementation of TENGs faces challenges such as skin compliance and a lack of comprehensive assessment regarding their biosafety and ***,further research is imperative to overcome these limitations and unlock the full potential of TENGs in various biomedical *** this study,we present a flexible silk fibroin-based triboelectric nanogenerator(SFB-TENG)that features an on-skin substrate and is characterized by excellent skin compliance and air/water *** range of electrical output generated by the SFB-TENG was shown to facilitate the migration and proliferation of Hy926,NIH-3T3 and RSC96 ***,apoptosis of fibroblast NIH-3T3 cells was observed when the output voltage increased to more than 20 V at a frequency of 2 *** addition,the moderate electrical stimulation provided by the SFB-TENG promoted the cell proliferation cycle in Hy926 *** research highlights the efficacy of a TENG system featuring a flexible and skin-friendly design,as well as its safe operating conditions for use in biomedical *** findings position TENGs as highly promising candidates for practical applications in the field of tissue regeneration.

The development of highly efficient,solution-processable,and environmentally stable perovskite quantum dots(pQDs)is crucial for their accurate high-resolution patterning and subsequently enabling the practical deployment of pQD based emissive display *** study presents an innovative strategy for integrating all-inorganic pQDs and ultraviolet(UV)crosslinkable acrylate polymer at a structural and functional *** achievement is accomplished by meticulous design and one-pot synthesis of UV-crosslinkable CspbX3(X=Cl,Br,I)pQDs solution,which exhibit outstanding environmental *** the solution-processable characteristics of the resulting UV-crosslinkable pQDs,precise patterning of high-resolution(2μm,7608 pixels·in.-1)and colorful pQDs microarrays can be readily achieved through inkjet printing and high-throughput photolithography(~2μm in pitch line/space patterning).The UV cross-linked process guarantees a homogeneous distribution of pQDs,effectively mitigating coffee ring effect and improving the overall quality of stereoscopic *** photo-cured pQDs film,which undergoes free radical photopolymerization,displays an impressive photoluminescence quantum yield(pL Qy)of up to 89.2%,reaching 98%of the value observed in the solution *** approach outlined in this research is both cost-effective and pragmatic,exhibiting tremendous promise for diverse system-level integrated optoelectronic devices,such as ultra-high-resolution micro-light-emitting device(micro-LED)displays.

Water scarcity is an escalating global crisis,posing a severe threat to populations ***,exploring various materials to remove emerging contaminants from freshwater sources has garnered significant *** this regard,single-atom catalysis(SACs) has emerged as a catalyst of scientific progress in water purification and treatment methodologies during recent *** exhibit exceptional catalytic activity,selectivity and stability,due to their near-perfect atom utilization,highly unsaturated coordination environment and uniform reaction ***,a comprehensive and critical review encompassing the successful integration of SACs into water purification processes needs to be *** review aims to accentuate recent trends by presenting the synthesis,structure,and environment and energy application-relevant properties of *** results show that a comprehensive and multi-perspective summary of the advantages of SACs in environmental remediation can have significant benefits,such as fast kinetics,costeffectiveness,*** oxidation and reduction processes of SACs and functional SACs materials in water purification were ***,the last section is devoted to the current research gaps and further perspectives on the application of SACs in water treatment,which are summarized and analyzed.

Three M_(W)>7.0 earthquakes in 2020-2021 occurred in the Shumagin seismic gap and its adjacent area of the Alaska-Aleutian subduction zone,including the Mw7.8 Simeonof thrust earthquake on July 22,2020,the M_(W)7.6 Sand point strike-slip earthquake on October 19,2020,and the M_(W)8.2 Chignik thrust earthquake on July 29,*** spatial and temporal proximity of these three earthquakes prompts us to probe stress-triggering effects among *** we examine the coseismic Coulomb stress change imparted by the three earthquakes and their influence on the subduction *** results show that:(1)The Simeonof earthquake has strong loading effects on the subsequent Sand point and Chignik earthquakes,with the Coulomb stress changes of 3.95 bars and 2.89 bars,*** Coulomb stress change caused by the Sand point earthquake at the hypocenter of the Chignik earthquake is merely around 0.01 bars,suggesting the negligible triggering effect on the latter earthquake;(2)The triggering effects of the Simeonof,Sand point,and Chignik earthquakes on aftershocks within three months are not well pronounced because of the triggering rates of 38%,14%,and 43%*** factors may have played an important role in promoting the occurrence of these aftershocks,such as the roughness of the subduction interface,the complicated velocity structure of the lithosphere,and the heterogeneous prestress therein;(3)The three earthquakes caused remarkable coseismic Coulomb stress changes at the subduction interface nearby these mainshocks,with an average Coulomb stress change of 3.2 bars in the shallow region directly inwards the trench.

Messenger ribonucleic acid(mRNA)-based therapeutics hold great prospects in disease treatment and lipid nanoparticles(LNps)are the most extensively applied non-viral platform for RNA delivery in *** the clinical success of LNps as vehicles have been achieved,developing LNps with enhanced mRNA transmembrane delivery and transfection efficiency in a non-toxic manner is highly desirable and *** this study,we designed a series of new ionizable amino lipids with piperazinederived headgroups and constructed a group of LNps to promote the transfection activity of mRNA *** them,LNp formulated with lipid 10(L10-LNp)can efficiently package mRNA and perform superior transfection efficiency both in vitro and in vivo,which is mainly attributed to the improved intracellular uptake and effective endosomal *** verified that a single administration of L10-LNp packaging interleukin(IL)-12 mRNA induced tumor shrink and even regression by robust activation of immune effector CD8^(+)T cells and stimulating the generation of IFN-γwithout causing systemic toxicity,which provides a promising platform for clinical cancer immunotherapy.

The removal of lignin from natural cellulose fibers is a crucial step in preparing high-performance materials,such as compressed high-toughness *** process can eliminate non-cellulosic impurities,create abundant compressible pores,and expose a greater number of active functional *** this study,biomass waste windmill palm fiber was used as the raw mate-rial to prepare holocellulose fibers through various chemical *** structure,chemical composition,Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy analysis,X-ray diffraction analysis,ther-mal properties,and mechanical properties,particularly fatigue performance,were *** sodium chlorite treated fiber had the highest crystallinity index(61.3%)and the most complete appearance *** sodium sulfite treated fiber had the highest tensile strength(227.34±52.27)*** peroxide treatment removed most of the lignin and hemicellulose,increas-ing the cellulose content to 68.83%±0.65%.However,all the chemical treatments decreased the thermal property of the fibers.
