We explore the possibility that domain wall networks generate the stochastic gravitational wave background(SGWB) observed as a strong common power-law process in the Data Release-2 of Parkes Pulsar Timing Array. We find that a broad range of parameters, specifically wall tension around σ_(DW)^(29-414 TeV)^(3) and wall-decay temperature within T_(d) ~ 20-257 MeV, can explain this phenomenon at a 68% credible level. Meanwhile, the same parameters could ease the Hubble tension if particles from these domain wall networks decay into dark radiation. We establish a direct analytical relationship, ΩGW(f_(p), T_(0))h^(2)~ Ω_(rad)h^(2)(Ω_νΩn_(eff))^(2),to illustrate this coincidence, underlining its importance in the underlying physics and potential applicability to a wider range of models and data. Conversely, if the common power-law process is not attributed to domain wall networks, our findings impose tight limits on the wall tension and decay temperature.

The gasdermin(GSDM)family has garnered significant attention for its pivotal role in immunity and disease as a key player in *** recently characterized class of pore-forming effector proteins is pivotal in orchestrating processes such as membrane permeabilization,pyroptosis,and the follow-up inflammatory response,which are crucial self-defense mechanisms against irritants and *** have been implicated in a range of diseases including,but not limited to,sepsis,viral infections,and cancer,either through involvement in pyroptosis or independently of this *** regulation of GSDM-mediated pyroptosis is gaining recognition as a promising therapeutic strategy for the treatment of various *** strategies for inhibiting GSDMD primarily involve binding to GSDMD,blocking GSDMD cleavage or inhibiting GSDMD-n-terminal(nT)oligomerization,albeit with some off-target *** this review,we delve into the cutting-edge understanding of the interplay between GSDMs and pyroptosis,elucidate the activation mechanisms of GSDMs,explore their associations with a range of diseases,and discuss recent advancements and potential strategies for developing GSDMD inhibitors.

Considerable spring precipitation occurs over South China(SC),a region that is adjacent to large-scale Asian topography and *** reasonable simulation is crucial for improving regional climate *** study investigates spring precipitation biases over SC and their possible causes in atmosphere-only and coupled Flexible Global Ocean–Atmosphere–Land System finite-volume version 3(FGOALS-f3) models with different horizontal *** performance of spring precipitation simulation over SC varies across different FGOALS-f3 model versions,with the best reproducibility in the high-resolution coupled model(25 km).In the low-resolution atmosphere-only model(100–125 km),the precipitation dry bias over SC is closely linked to overestimated surface sensible forcing over the eastern Tibetan Plateau(TP),which weakens the subtropical anticyclone over the western Pacific(SAWP) through regional circulation *** contrast,the high-resolution atmosphere-only model further amplifies surface thermal forcing in the Asian continents,causing intensified land–sea thermal contrast between the Southeast Asian continents and western Pacific,enhanced southerly winds and SAWP,and increased water vapor transport into ***,the reduced middle–high level cold bias over 10°–30°n in the high-resolution atmosphere-only model intensifies the East Asian westerly jet and ascent over SC,leading to enhanced spring precipitation *** high-resolution coupled model simulation not only reduces sea surface cold bias over the Bay of Bengal,thus intensifying the Indian–Burma trough and strengthening low-level water vapor transport into SC,but also enhances ascent over *** a result,the high-resolution coupled model better reproduces the magnitude and pattern of spring precipitation over SC than its atmosphere-only *** with low-resolution models,the domain-mean spring precipitation dry bias decreases by 11.2% over SC in the high-resolution atmosphere-only mod

The closure of the Paleo-Asian Ocean was a significant geological event in northern Pangea during the *** had a significant effect on climate,biota,and environmental conditions of the Late Paleozoic Ice Age,and resulted in the development of vast energy *** paper reports on the first discovery of marine red algal fossils in the Junggar Basin and its linkage to hydrocarbon *** algae occur mainly in the Fengcheng Formation(ca.300 Ma)and provide direct fossil evidence for closure of the Paleo-Asian *** red algal fossils contain well-preserved reproductive organs,such as cystocarps and *** concentrations of C_(27) steranes(C_(27) regular steranes/sum of C_(27)-C_(29) regular steranes×100=14.30%-21.30%)and the marine biomarker 24-n-propylcholesterane(C_(30) diasterane[βα20S]/sum of C_(27)-C_(30) diasteranes[βα20S]×100=1.15%-1.85%)were detected in the red-algae-bearing hydrocarbon source *** experiments that simulate hydrocarbon generation show that the oil generation potential of the red-algae-bearing source rocks is 363.71 mg g^(-1) total organic *** result,combined with oil-source rock correlations,indicates these rocks contributed to the formation of oil and gas resources,particularly in the marginal areas of the *** lake basin inherited the water and biological conditions of the Paleo-Asian Ocean during a marine regression,which was an important factor in the development of these high-quality hydrocarbon source rocks in an alkaline saline *** results advance our understanding of the evolution of the Paleo-Asian Ocean,interactions between the ocean and a lake during the deposition of terrestrial hydrocarbon source rocks,and whether red algae can effectively generate hydrocarbons.

At present,industrial synthetic ammonia was still obtained through the Hubble-Bosch process,with large energy *** is a research hotspot to realize green synthetic ammonia by using solar *** difficulty of photocatalytic ammonia synthesis was that the photo-excited electrons have not enough energy to active n≡*** this study,Ti was doped into BiOBr by one-step hydrothermal method,which was oxidized into TiO_(2)when the doping amount reaches the maximum,in situ forming Ti_(0.31)B_(0.69)OB/TiO_(2)*** from the synergistic effect of Ti doping and S-scheme heterojunction,the synthetic ammonia efficiency of Ti_(0.31)B_(0.69)OB/TiO_(2)-11.96 reached 1.643 mmol·g_(cat)^(-1)at mild conditions and without hole scavenger for up to 7 h,the efficiency of synthetic ammonia is 115 times,10.5 times and 3.3 times of that of BiOBr,Ti_(0.31)B_(0.69)OB and TiO_(2),***,DFT calculation confirms that Ti doping accurately refine the electronic structure of BiOBr,facilitate nitrogen adsorption activation and reduce hydrogenation reaction energy barrier,thus accelerating the reaction kinetics of photocatalytic nitrogen reduction(nRR),Meanwhile,constructing S-scheme heterojunction boosts the separation and transfer of photogenerated electron-hole pairs,improving the reduction ability of electrons in the conduction band of TiO_(2)and the oxidation ability of holes in the valence band of Ti_(0.31)B_(0.69)OB.

Monocarpic senescence,characterized by whole-plant senescence following a single flowering phase,is widespread in seed plants,particularly in crops,determining seed harvest time and ***,how external and internal signals are systemically integrated into monocarpic senescence remains largely ***,we report that the Arabidopsis thaliana transcription factor WRKy1 plays essential roles in multiple key steps of monocarpic ***1 expression is induced by age,salicylic acid(SA),and nitrogen(n)*** and leaf senescence are accelerated in the WRKy1 overexpression lines but are delayed in the wrky1 *** combined DnA affinity purification sequencing and RnA sequencing analyses uncover the direct target genes of *** studies show that WRKy1 coordinately regulates three processes in monocarpic senescence:(1)suppressing FLOWERInG LOCUS C gene expression to initiate flowering,(2)inducing SA biosynthesis genes to promote leaf senescence,and(3)activating the n assimilation and transport genes to trigger n *** summary,our study reveals how one stress-responsive transcription factor,WRKy1,integrates flowering,leaf senescence,and n remobilization processes into monocarpic senescence,providing important insights into plant lifetime regulation.

Construction of a multifunctional Ti3C2Tx MXene/g-C3n4 artificial protective layer for dendrite-free aqueous Zn-ion batteries

The electrochemical utilization of Zn anodes in aqueous batteries is hampered by the intricate and interconnected issues of Zn dendrite growth,H2evolution and Zn corrosion *** this study,a multifunctional protective layer comprising MXene and graphitic carbon nitride （g-C3n4） was constructed using a self-assembly *** MXene/g-C3n4protective layer exhibited robust zincophilic characteristics,which facilitated a uniform distribution of the electric field and ensured a sufficient influx of Zn2+.This reduces the Zn2+nucleation barrier and prevents dendrite *** addition,the hydrophobic nature of the protective layer,coupled with its negative charge,can repel SO42-and select water molecules from the electrolyte,which aids in mitigating corrosion and *** symmetric Zn cell coated with the MXene/g-C3n4protective layer showed remarkable stability,achieving over 2000 h of reversible cycling at1 mA·***,the MXene/g-C3n4-coated Zn anode paired with a sodium-doped V2O5cathode （nVO）exhibited enhanced cycling capability over 1500 cycles.
