To date,the published information on trans fatty acids (TFAs) in food products in China remains scarce and of questionable *** approaches to educate the consumers and to ensure proper labeling of TFAs are among the many urgent challenges the regulatory agencies in this rapidly growing country have to *** the present study,97 most popular,national brand food products on the Chinese market,including 6 cheeses,10 chocolates,10 crisps,chips,and fries,10 ice creams,15 margarines,10 pies and cakes,8 sauces and dressings,19 wafers and biscuits,and 9 Chinese-style snacks,were assayed to profile their fat content and fatty acid composition,particularly the *** highest level of TFAs,up to 30.9% of total fatty acids,were found in *** average TFAs contents in different product categories,ranging from high to low,were:pie and cake (12.07%),cheese (6.95%),margarine (5.09%),wafer and biscuit (4.35%),ice cream (2.67%),sauce and dressing (2.65%),crisps,chips,and fries (2.15%),chocolate (1.44%),and Chinese-style snacks (0.83%).One hundred percents of cheese contained TFAs,so did pie and cake,followed by crisps,chips,and fries (90%),sauce and dressing (88%),ice cream and margarine (80%),chocolate (60%),wafer and biscuit (53%),then Chinese-style snacks (33%).Profiling of key TFAs constituents could yield information characteristic to the types of partially hydrogenated oils employed,which is a critical step towards product reformulation in order to reduce or eliminate TFAs in the products.

Recently,McDonald et al.(2020)proposed that complement causes a metabolic switch to lipid consumption in amyotrophic lateral sclerosis(ALS),which raises the possibility of complement as a global immunometabolic *** ALS,neuromuscular degeneration occurs concurrently with complement-mediated inflammation,glucose intolerance,and elevated lipid ***,complement is being increasingly recognized as a metabolic regulator that can induce insulin resistance and alter fuel source ***,the authors propose that chronic complement activation may be driving metabolic reprogramming in ALS,which has broad implications for the field of immunometabolism and would be the first mechanistic explanation of the“lipid switch”in ***,it suggests that complement can drive a global shift in resources during inflammation,in which glucose is redirected from peripheral tissues to immune cells to support their inflammatory actions.

Natural organic matter(NOM)is known to play an important role in the transport and binding of trace metal elements in aquatic and soil *** is a pollutant for which the extent of the role played by NOM is poorly ***,this study investigates thallium(Ⅰ)and its complexation to a purified humic substance as proxy for *** were performed with the Donnan Membrane Technique to separate,for the first time,the free Tl^+ion from its complexed form in the bulk *** pH and concentrations were investigated at constant ionic strength and constant NOM proxy concentrations in *** results were described with NICA-Donnan *** complexation was compared to silver complexation using literature data and using the same NICA-Donnan *** for these two cations(Tl^+and Ag^+)are reported in this article,for the first *** display low thallium complexation to the NOM proxy while silver competes with divalent cations for the NOM binding *** speciation for dissolved thallium highlights the dominance of free thallium(Tl^+)in solution whereas Tl-NOM complexes contribute roughly 15%to total Tl(Ⅰ)species in river and lake type *** results are obtained for soil solutions,Tl-bound to NOMy.

The family Alaudidae,larks,comprises 93-100 species(depending on taxonomy)that are widely distributed across Africa and Eurasia,with single species extending their ranges to North and northernmost South America and Australia.A decade-old molecular phylogeny,comprising~80%of the species,revealed multiple cases of parallel evolution and large variation in rates of morphological evolution,which had misled taxonomists into creating many non-monophyletic ***,we reconstruct the phylogeny of the larks,using a dataset covering one mitochondrial and 16 nuclear loci and comprising all except one of the currently recognised species as well as several recently proposed new species(in total 133 taxa;not all loci available for all species).We provide additional support using genome-wide markers to infer a genus-level phylogeny based on near-complete generic sampling(in total 51 samples of 44 taxa across 40 species).Our results confirm the previous findings of rampant morphological convergence and divergence,and reveal new cases of paraphyletic *** propose a new subfamily classification,and also that the genus Mirafra is divided into four genera to produce a more balanced generic classification of the *** study supports recently proposed species splits as well as some recent lumps,while also questioning some of the *** comprehensive phylogeny will form an important basis for future studies,such as comparative studies of lark natural history,ecology,evolution and conservation.

Cancer metastasis to the thyroid is extremely rare. The more commonly reported primary sites for metastasis to the thyroid are the kidney, breast, lung, colon, esophagus, and uterus. Thyroid metastasis from the stomach has only been reported in three cases. Herein, we report a 71-year-old man presenting with bilateral thyroid multinodular lesions. Bilateral near-total thyroidectomy was performed due to airway compression with related symptoms. Wedge resection of a suspicious pulmonary nodule, detected on CT, was performed for diagnosis. Polypoid lesions in the stomach were examined by trans-scopic biopsy. Poorly differentiated adenocarcinomas with the same histological profiles were noted at these three sites. The immunohistochemical staining for thyroglobulin of these specimens was negative. We conclude that a new thyroid mass appearing in a patient with present or prior malignancies should raise the concern of metastatic disease.

AIM： To develop a serum or histological marker for early discovery of gastric atrophy or intestinal metaplasia. METHODS： This study enrolled 44 patients with gastric adenocarcinoma, 52 patients with duodenal ulcer, 14 patients with gastric ulcer and 42 consecutive healthy adults as controls. Each patient received an endoscopy and five biopsy samples were obtained. The degrees of histological parameters of gastritis were categorized following the Updated Sydney System. Anti-parietal cell antibodies （APCA） and anti- Helicobacter pylori （ H pylori） antibodies （AHPA） were analyzed by immunoassays. Hpyloriinfection was diagnosed by rapid unease test and histological examination. RESULTS： Patients with gastric cancer and gastric ulcer are significantly older than healthy subjects, while also displaying higher frequency of APCA than healthy controls. Patients with positive APCA showed higher scores in gastric atrophy and intestinal metaplasia of corpus than patients with negative APCA. Patients with positive AHPA had higher scores in gastric atrophy, intestinal metaplasia, and gastric inflammation of antrum than those patients with negative AHPA. Elderly patients had greater prevalence rates of APCA. Following multivariant logistic regression analysis, the only significant risk factor for antral atrophy is positive AHPA, while that for corpus atrophy is positive APCA. CONCLUSION： The existence of positive APCA correlates with glandular atrophy in corpus and the presence of positive AHPA correlates with glandular atrophy in antrum. The existence of serum APCA and AHPA betokens glandular atrophy and requires further examination for gastric cancer.

Investigation of new orbit geometries exhibits a very attractive behavior for a spacecraft to monitor space weather coming from the Sun. Several orbit transfer mechanisms are analyzed as potential alternatives to monitor solar activity such as a sub-solar orbit or quasi-satellite orbit and short and long heteroclinic and homoclinic connections between the triangular points L4 and L5 and the collinear point L3 of the CRTBP （circular restricted three-body problem） in the Sun-Earth system. These trajectories could serve as channels through where material can be transported from L5 to L3 by performing small maneuvers at the departure of the Trojan orbit. The size of these maneuvers at L5 is between 299 m/s and 730 m/s depending on the transfer time of the trajectory and does not need any deterministic maneuvers at L3. Our results suggest that material may also be transported from the Trojan orbits to quasi-satellite orbits or even displaced quasi-satellite orbits.
