We demonstrate a Ⅲ-Ⅴ-on-silicon-nitride mode-locked laser through the heterogeneous integration of a semiconductor optical amplifier on a passive silicon-nitride cavity using the technique of micro-transfer printing. In the initial phase of our study, we focus on optimizing the lasing wavelength to be centered at 1550 nm. This optimization is achieved by conducting experiments with 27 mode-locked lasers, each incorporating optical amplifiers featuring distinct multiple-quantum-well photoluminescence values. Subsequently we present a comprehensive study investigating the behavior of the mode-locking regime when the electrical driving parameters are varied. Specifically, we explore the impact of the gain voltage and saturable absorber current on the locking stability of a tunable mode-locked laser. By manipulating these parameters, we demonstrate the precise control of the optical spectrum across a wide range of wavelengths spanning from 1530 to 1580 nm. Furthermore, we implement an optimization approach based on a Monte Carlo analysis aimed at enhancing the mode overlap within the gain region. This adjustment enables the achievement of a laser emitting a 23-nm-wide spectrum while maintaining a defined 10 dB bandwidth for a pulse repetition rate of 3 GHz.

This paper presents our recent progress for the development of low-loss Bi2223/Ag tapes with interfilamentary oxide *** the compatibility with Bi2223 superconductors,SrZrO3was selected as barrier ***,small amount of Bi2212 was mixed with SrZrO3to improve its ductility for cold *** controlling the thickness of barrier layers among the filaments,reducing the tape width（y（y fcexceeded 250 Hz even in an AC perpendicular field at *** Jcof the barrier tapes with tightly twisted filaments was in the range of 12-15 kA/cm2at 77 K and *** 50 mT and 50 Hz,the twisted barrier tapes showed 60%-70%lower perpendicular field losses than the conventional 4 mm-width tape with fully coupled filaments.

We reported a facile preparation of a uniform decoration of spherical n-type SnO2 by p-type CuO nanopa rticles as well as their utilization for enhanced performance on toluene gas *** nanoparticles and spherical SnO2 were synthesized by a facile non-hydrolytic solvothermal reaction,which could easily control their morphology.A uniform CuO nanoparticles decoration onto spherical SnO2 was achieved by a simple sonication and vigorous stirring at room tempe *** revealed orga nic solvents used in the oxide synthesis had a considerable influence on its surface charge that was beneficial for a uniformly electrostatic self-decoration between positively charged p-type CuO nanoparticles and negatively charged n-type spherical ***,CuO was partially reduced to Cu metal during high concentration of toluene exposure destroying p-n contact and developing new metal-semiconductor contact so-called ohmic junction,resulting in extraordinarily responsive and selective to toluene gas at 400℃as compared to a single p-CuO and *** was also found that the amount of particle decoration had an influence on sensor response and *** optimum amount of CuO nanoparticle decoration was0.1 mmol on 0.5 mmol *** re s ponse(S=Ra/Rg)and selectivity of CuO/S nO2 based material toward the exposure of 75 ppm toluene had reached to such high as 540 and 5,*** effect of p-n heterojunction and metal-semiconductor contact on the gas sensing mechanism of p-type CuO/n-type SnO2 was ***,by decorating with CuO nanoparticles,CuO/SnO2 morphology was well-maintained after gas sensing evaluation demonstrated its excellency for high temperature toluene gas sensor application.

The garnet-type Li6La3ZrTaO12（LLZT） solid electrolyte films were fabricated by aerosol deposition（AD）***-milled LLZT powder with a cubic garnet structure and a particle size of 1-2 urn was used as raw material and deposited directly on a SUS316L or a glass substrate via impact ***-deposited LLZT film has a cubic garnet structure but contains Li2CO3and *** observation revealed that the film consists of LLZT particles fractured into submicron *** impurity phase formation during AD process was caused by the local heating by the collision between LLZT particles and deposition surface and reaction with *** Li+ion conductivity of LLZT film was estimated to be 0.24 × 10-5S cm-1at room *** conductivity of LLZT film was confirmed to be around 10-12S cm-1,indicating the dominant Li+ion conduction of LLZT film.

Intussusception due to rectal adenocarcinoma in a young adult:A case report

An intussusception due to colonic adenocarcinoma has sometimes been reported. However, to the best of our knowledge, reports of intussusception due to rectal adenocarcinoma are extremely rare. In this report, the case of a young man with rectal adenocarcinoma causing intussusception is described. A 24-year-old man visited a hospital complaining of abdominal pain, and an upper rectal cancer was diagnosed by colonoscopy. Computed tomography showed intussusception caused by a large tumor in the pelvis and absence of distant metastases. Locally advanced rectal cancer causing intussusception was diagnosed, and a low anterior resection was performed. Intraoperatively, repair of the invagination could not be accomplished easily; therefore, the repair was abandoned. Instead, the tumor was removed en bloc to avoid dissemination of the cancer. Histopathologically, the tumor was diagnosed as a poorly differentiated adenocarcinoma, pStage IIA. The patient has no evidence of recurrence at 10 mo after the operation.

Treatment adherence is essential for optimizing healthcare outcomes, especially in individuals with schizophrenia or depression(1,2)Previous studies identified several factors that predict treatment adherence, including psychiatric diagnoses, patients' characteristics, side-effects of psychotropic agents, symptom relief, and the patient-doctor relationship(3-5)However, specific predisposing factors for treatment nonadherence in patients with psychiatric disorders is unknown. The present study by Bosch et al.[6] focused on the quality of sleep as one of the factors that could help to explain treatment nonadherence in patients with schizophrenia or depression. Their findings show that in patients with schizophrenia, more severe negative symptoms and better quality of sleep was associated with better treatment adherence. By contrast, in patients with depression, symptom severity or quality of sleep was not associated with treatment adherence.
