High-performance water-based drilling fluids(HPWBFs)are essential to wellbore stability in shale gas exploration and *** is a synthetic hectorite clay composed of disk-shaped *** paper analyzed the application potential of laponite in HPWBFs by evaluating its shale inhibition,plugging and lubrication *** inhibition performance was studied by linear swelling test and shale recovery *** performance was analyzed by nitrogen adsorption experiment and scanning electron microscope(SEM)*** pressure lubricity test was used to evaluate the lubrication *** results show that laponite has good shale inhibition property,which is better than commonly used shale inhibitors,such as polyamine and *** can effectively plug shale *** considerably decreases the surface area and pore volume of shale,and SEM results show that it can reduce the porosity of shale and form a seamless *** is beneficial to increase lubricating property of drilling fluid by enhancing the drill pipes/wellbore interface smoothness and isolating the direct contact between wellbore and drill ***,laponite can reduce the fluid loss *** to mechanism analysis,the good performance of laponite nanoparticles is mainly attributed to the disk-like nanostructure and the charged surfaces.

The microstructure and mechanical properties of 304 L stainless steel fabricated by selective laser melting are investigated in this *** the optimized laser processing parameters,a relative density of 99.9%is achieved with fine austenite grains and nanoscale cellular subgrains in size of approximately 0.5μ*** presence ofδ-ferrite andσphase precipitates is identified by the x-ray diffraction and transmission electron ***,the microstructure is identified as an austenite matrix with about 4%δ-ferrite and a trace amount ofσphase by using electron backscattered diffraction *** smallσphase particles are mainly distributed along austenite grain ***,the presence of nanoscale cellular subgrains contributes to the good tensile strength and ductility of the selective laser melted 304 L,along with precipitate strengthening and strain *** property anisotropy is also identified in this 304 L,which is attributed to the microstructure difference on vertical and horizontal planes.

Self-Assembled Nanomicelles of Affibody-Drug Conjugate with Excellent Therapeutic Property to Cure Ovary and Breast Cancers

Affibody molecules are small nonimmunoglobulin affinity proteins,which can precisely target to some cancer cells with specific overexpressed molecular ***,the relatively short in vivo half-life of them seriously limited their application in drug targeted delivery for cancer *** an amphiphilic affibody-drug conjugate is self-assembled into nanomicelles to prolong circulation time for targeted cancer *** an example of the concept,the nanoagent was prepared through molecular self-assembly of the amphiphilic conjugate of Z_(HHR2:342)-Cys with auristatin E derivate,where the affibody used is capable of binding to the human epidermal growth factor receptor 2(HER2).Such a nanodrug not only increased the blood circulation time,but also enhanced the tumor targeting capacity(abundant affibody arms on the nanoagent surface) and the drug accumulation in *** a result,this affibody-based nanoagent showed excellent antitumor activity in vivo to HER2-positive ovary and breast tumor models,which nearly eradicated both small solid tumors(about 100 mm^(3)) and large established tumors(exceed 500 mm^(3)).The relative tumor proliferation inhibition ratio reaches 99.8% for both models.

Boosting fast lithium ion storage of Li4Ti5O12 by synergistic effect of vertical graphene and nitrogen doping

The advancement of power-type lithium ion batteries（LIBs） mainly depends on the construction of electrodes with superior electronic & ionic conductivity. In this work, a synergistic combination of nitrogen doped LiTiO（N-LTO） nanoparticles and highly conductive vertical graphene（VG） skeleton is proposed to obtain ultrafast Li ion storage performance via a facile hydrothermal-nitridation method. The as-synthesized composite nanosheets are composed of interconnected N-LTO shell and VG core to form the final N-LTO/VG core-shell arrays, which are systematically studied as the anodes of LIBs. In virtue of the positive synergistic effect of high conductive VG backbone and nitrogen doping, overwhelming advantages including high specific surface area, superb structural stability and enhanced conductivity are achieved in the well-designed N-LTO/VG electrodes. Accordingly, the as-synthesized N-LTO/VG electrode shows outstanding high rate capacity(142.5 m Ah gat 20 C) and superior long-term cycling stability（capacity retention of 98.9% after 10000 cycles at 5 C）, better than LTO/VG electrode without N *** research provides a new strategy for the synthesis of high-performance hybrid electrodes for application in power-type LIBs.

Phosphorus and nitrogen co-doped graphene for catalytic dehydrochlorination of 1,2-dichloroethane

A phosphorus and nitrogen co-doped graphene(PNG)was developed via a two-step pyrolysis approach through the intermedium of g-C_(3)N_(4) template and glyphosate as the phosphorus source,and was used for the catalytic dehydrochlorination of 1,2-dichloroethane(EDC)to vinyl chloride monomer(VCM)*** characterization results indicate that a volcano relationship of surface area and surface properties with the usage of phosphorus precursor was observed,and the sample of PNG-900-6 possesses not only the thin film structure with enhanced surface area but also the smaller grain size of PNG ***,such PNGs show a great improvement of catalytic performance in the dehydrochlorination of EDC,and the PNG-900-6 catalyst behaves the best with a 4-times higher activity than that on the nitrogen doped graphene(NG).It was also proved that the synergetic effect of the unique P-C coordination on the graphene to generate more quaternary nitrogen species was crucial in determining the catalytic performance of EDC *** results demonstrate that the phosphorus and nitrogen co-doped graphene offers many advantages in physical structure and chemical property,and are also great potential on the catalytic application in the dehydrochlorination of 1,2-dichloroethane.

This study characterized and compared the physical and emulsifying properties of pea protein(PP)and its modified proteins(ultrasound treated-PP(PPU),flaxseed gum(FG)treated PP(PPFG)and ultrasound treated-PPFG(PPFGU)).The results showed FG triggered the formation of loosely attached complex with PP via physical modification under gentle magnetic stirring at pH 7.0,while ultrasound played an important role in reducing protein size,increasing surface hydrophobicity and molecular fluidity onto oil-water *** ultrasound further enhanced the interaction of PP with FG,and produced the PPFGU complex with smaller droplet size,higherζ-potential and lower ***,combination of FG and ultrasound improved the physical properties of PP with higher viscosity,stiffer gels(defined as higher elastic modulus),stronger hydrophobic properties,better thermal stability,and fast protein absorption ***,the PPFGU coarse emulsion performed highest emulsifying activity index(EAI)and emulsion stability index(ESI)that the stabilized nanoemulsion obtained smallest droplet size,higherζ-potential,and longest storage *** combination of FG and ultrasonic treatment will be an effective approach to improving the emulsifying property and thermal stability of PP,which can be considered as a potential plant-based emulsifier applied in the food industry.

Wind-tunnel experimental studies of the spatial snow distribution over grass and bush surfaces

The snow is one of the most important water resources in grassland in northern and western China, while the wind blowing snow due to the strong wind there is a common phenomenon, which can lead to heavy disasters to harm the local animal husbandry and transportation. A reasonable arrangement of the snow protection forests is one of the most economical and effective methods to prevent the wind blowing snow, and a great number of investigations were carried out for its wind block effects. However, the deposition patterns of the snowfall and the blowing snow in the forests are still largely unknown. In this study, the wind tunnel experiments are performed to investigate the influences of the vegetation (grass and bush) on the wind speed profiles and the spatial distribution of the accumulated snow, by using the bran as the snow substitute. The snow blocking abilities of two bush models are analyzed to show the effects of different coverages. The results show that the grass and the bush have different effects on the wind speed profiles, and the snow-blocking abilities of the vegetation and the resulting spatial distribution are determined by the amount of the snowfall, the wind speed, and the height and the coverage of the vegetation. For the engineering design, if the snow is required on the windward side of the vegetation or in the vegetation, the densely arranged forest belts are needed, if the snow is required to accumulate on the leeward side of the vegetation, the sparse forest belts can be used. This work would be helpful as a reference to the reasonable arrangement of the snow-protection forests in pastoral areas.

The hydrodynamic characteristics of a rectangular gas-driven inverse liquid-solid fluidized bed(GDFB)using particles of different diameters and densities were investigated in *** gas bubbles cause a liquid upflow in the riser portion,enabling a liquid downflow that causes an inverse fluidization in the downer *** flow regimes(fixed bed regime,initial fluidization regime,complete fluidization regime,and circulating fluidization regime)and three transition gas velocities(initial fluidization gas velocity,minimum fluidization gas velocity,and circulating fluidization gas velocity)were identified via visual observation and by monitoring the variations in the pressure *** axial local bed voidage(e)of the downer first decreases and then increases with the increase of the gas *** the liquid circulation velocity and the average particle velocity inside the downer increase with the increase of the gas velocity in the riser,but decrease with the particle *** empirical formula was proposed to successfully predict the Richardson-Zaki index“n”,and the predicted e obtained from this formula has a±5%relative error when compared with the experimental e.

A progressive framework for rotary motion deblurring
