Nitrogen(N)addition can significantly affect the amount of soil carbon(C)pools through biological routes,and microbial residues are important components of soil carbon ***,it remains unclear how N addition affects the accumulation of soil microbial residues in meadow *** study analyzed the effects of N addition on microbial residues in a meadow grassland soil,and the key factors affecting the accumulation of microbial residues under N addition were analyzed in combination with soil physicochemical properties and microbial community *** results showed that N addition significantly changed the structure of the microbial communities and the accumulation of microbial residues,mainly manifested by a significant decrease in fungal biomass and the fungal/bacterial ratio(f/B),but had no significant effect on bacterial or total microbial biomass(PLfAs).N addition significantly increased the accumulation of fungal residues(7.45%),but had no significant effect on the accumulation of bacterial residues or total amino sugar(TAS).We found that fungal residues were more affected by soil environmental factors than bacterial *** results of the random forest analysis showed that bacterial biomass under N addition was the most important predictor of soil bacterial residues,whereas total N(TN),pH and f/B were the most important predictors of soil fungal *** summary,our results indicate that fungal communities and residues accumulation play important roles in regulating the response of grassland soil C to N addition,further enhancing our understanding of the mechanisms of soil carbon pool to N addition.

Chemical, carbon and sulfur isotopic compositions constrain the origin of Upper Carboniferous-Lower Triassic gases in eastern Sichuan Basin, SW China

Methane dominated gas is one of the cleanest energy resources;however, there is no direct method to determine its source rock. Natural gases produced from the eastern Sichuan Basin together with seismic data were studied for their sources and secondary alteration by thermochemical sulfate reduction(TSR). Our results demonstrate that Upper Permian to Lower Triassic(P_(3)ch-T_(1)f) gases in the surrounding of the Kaijiang-Liangping area show volatile organic sulfur compounds(VOSCs) δ^(34)S values close to those of the associated H_(2)S, and may have been altered by methane-dominated TSR, resulting in positive shift in methane δ^(13)C_(1)values with increasing TSR extents. Other(or group 2) gases produced from the P_(3)ch-T_(1)f reservoirs from the southern area and the Upper Carboniferous to Middle Permian(C_(2)h-P_(2)q) from the eastern Sichuan Basin are not significantly changed by TSR, show similar δ^(34)S values between the kerogens and some VOSCs, and may have been derived from the Lower Silurian and Middle Permian source rocks. This study demonstrates a case for the first time showing the δ^(34)S values of VOSCs can be used as a tool for direct correlation between non-TSR altered gas and source rocks. Methane-dominated gas pools can be found using gas and source rock geochemistry combined with seismic data.

Introducing heavy halogen atoms into organic small molecules is a practical strategy for efficient singlet oxygen(^(1)O_(2))***,bromine or iodine atoms are introduced on the aza-borondipyrromethene(aza-BODIPy)core,rather than on the periphery aryl rings for efficient~1O_(2) ***,an aza-BODIPy dye NBDPBr with unexpected bromination on the periphery aryl rings was synthesized for photoacoustic(PA)imaging-guided synergistic photothermal therapy(PTT)and photodynamic therapy(PDT)in tumor *** to unexcepted bromination at the periphery aryl rings,NBDPBr demonstrated an outstanding singlet oxygen quantum yield(Φ_(Δ))of 66% which was superior to similar brominated photosensitizers previously *** encapsulation with amphiphilic polymer f-127,hydrophilic NBDPBr nanoparticles(NPs)were fabricated and exhibited an excellent photothermal conversion efficiency(η)of 43.0% under 660 nm *** vivo PA imaging results demonstrated that NBDPBr NPs could specifically accumulate at tumor sites and realized the maximum tumor retention at 7 h *** the in vitro and in vivo results indicated the significant potence of NBDPBr with unexpected bis-bromination for PA imaging-guided synergetic PDT/PTT.

Chiroptical switches based on circularly polarized luminescence(CPL)have shown the promising applications in advanced information ***,a pair of lanthanide coordination polymer enantiomers[Eu_(2)(L^(R))_(3)(BTfPO)_(2)]_(n) and[Eu_(2)(L^(S))_(3)(BTfPO)_(2)]_(n) with light-regulated CPL property are designed,which are assembled by a chiral binuclear triple-stranded Eu^(3+) helicates[Eu_(2)(L^(R/S))_(3)]coordinated with two photochromic triphenylphosphine oxides(BTfPO).Upon the alternative UV and 526 nm light irradiation,the complexes show the reversible photochromism,PL and CPL ***,the luminescence dissymmetry factor,g lum of ^(5)D_(0)→^(7)f_(1)(591 nm)transition shows an obvious increase from 0.19 to 0.29 before and after 275 nm light ***,the emission from Eu^(3+) center is not completely quenched in closed-ring state due to the low photocyclization(Ф_(o-c))quantum yield of the *** partial maintenance of emissive intensity is of essential importance for the monitor of CPL *** importantly,the CPL photo-switching property of the complexes in solid hybrid film is maintained,and still displays the enhanced CPL emission in photostationary ***,the potential applications of the doping film in logic gate and anti-counterfeiting were investigated.

MRI-guided photothermal/photodynamic immune activation combined with PD-1 inhibitor for the multimodal combination therapy of melanoma and metastases

Non-invasive image-guided precise photothermal/photodynamic therapy(PTT/PDT)has been proven to be an effective local treatment modality but incompetent against ***,the combination of local PTT/PDT and systemic immunotherapy would be a promising strategy for tumor ***,a magnetic resonance imaging(MRI)-visualized PTT/PDT agent(SIDP NMs)was constructed,and the efficacy of its multimodal combination with a programmed cell death 1(PD-1)inhibitor in the treatment of melanoma and metastases was *** to the hydrophobic encapsulation of indocyanine green within the micellar core,SIDP NMs exhibited excellent photothermal/photodynamic properties and stability under an 808 nm near-infrared *** vitro cell experiments showed that SIDP NMs had a good killing *** incubating with B16-f10 cells for 24 h and irradiating with an 808-nm laser for 10 min,cell viability decreased *** resonance imaging experiments in melanoma-bearing mice have shown that the dynamic distribution of SIDP NMs in tumor tissue could be monitored by T2WI and T2-MAP non-invasively due to the presence of superparamagnetic iron oxide nanocrystal in SIDP *** the 808 nm laser was irradiated at the maximum focusing time point shown by MRI,the temperature of the tumor area rapidly increased from 32℃to 60.7℃in 5 *** mouse melanoma ablation and distant tumor immunotherapy studies,SIDP NMs provided excellent MRI-guided PTT/PDT results and,when combined with PD-1 inhibitor,have great potential to cure primary tumors and eradicate metastases.
