High-performance formaldehyde prediction for indoor air quality assessment using time series deep learning

Indoor air pollution resulting from volatile organic compounds(VOcs),especially formaldehyde,is a significant health concern needed to predict indoor formaldehyde concentration(cf)in green intelligent building *** study develops a thermal and wet coupling calculation model of porous fabric to account for the migration of formaldehyde molecules in indoor air and cotton,silk,and polyester fabric with heat flux in Harbin,Beijing,Xi’an,Shanghai,Guangzhou,and Kunming,*** time-by-time indoor dry-bulb temperature(T),relative humidity(RH),and cf,obtained from verified simulations,were collated and used as input data for the long short-term memory(LSTM)of the deep learning model that predicts indoor multivariate time series cf from the secondary source effects of indoor fabrics(adsorption and release of formaldehyde).The trained LSTM model can be used to predict multivariate time series cf at other emission times and *** LSTM-based model also predicted cf with mean absolute percentage error(MAPE),symmetric mean absolute percentage error(SMAPE),mean absolute error(MAE),mean square error(MSE),and root mean square error(RMSE)that fell within 10%,10%,0.5,0.5,and 0.8,*** addition,the characteristics of the input dataset,model parameters,the prediction accuracy of different indoor fabrics,and the uncertainty of the data set are *** results show that the prediction accuracy of single data set input is higher than that of temperature and humidity input,and the prediction accuracy of LSTM is better than recurrent neural network(RNN).The method’s feasibility was established,and the study provides theoretical support for guiding indoor air pollution control measures and ensuring human health and safety.

The perfluorosulfonic acid(PFSA) membrane doped with two-dimensional conductive filler Ti_(3)c_(2)T_(x) is a fuel cell proton exchange membrane with high application potential. Experimental studies showed that the proton conductivity of Nafion/Ti_(3)c_(2)T_(x) composite membrane is improved significantly compared with that in pure Nafion. However, the microscopic mechanism of doping on the enhancement of membrane performance is remain unclear now. In this work, molecular dynamics simulation was used to investigate the microscopic morphology and proton transport behaviors of Nafion/Ti_(3)c_(2)T_(x) composite membrane at the molecular level. The results shown that there were significant differences about the diffusion kinetics of water molecules and hydroxium ions in Nafion/Ti_(3)c_(2)T_(x) at low and high hydration levels in the nanoscale *** the increase of water content, Ti_(3)c_(2)T_(x) in membrane was gradually surrounded by ambient water molecules to form a hydration layer, and forming a relatively continuous proton transport channel between Nafion polymer and Ti_(3)c_(2)T_(x) monomer. The continuous proton transport channel could increase the number of binding sites of proton and thus achieving high proton conductivity and high mobility of water molecules at higher hydration level. The current work can provide a theoretical guidance for designing new type of Nafion composite membranes.

The particle size distribution(PSD)curve is an important expression of the basic properties of the *** characteristic parameters such as median particle size D_(50),effective particle size D_(10),and some combinations of characteristic parameters can only represent some points of the PSD curve,failing to represent all information of the PSD *** this paper,a fraction characteristic parameter F that could reflect the fraction size variation of the PSD curve was introduced based on grading *** a new presentation method of the A-B-F three parameters was proposed for a refined representation of the PSD *** was found that the newly constructed model not only better represents the differences in the width of PSD curves but also has a higher sensitivity than the A-B two-parameter model proposed by Lő*** PSD curves with similar distributions,the new presentation method has a higher degree of discrimination than that of the D_(50)-c_(u)-c_(c) three-parameter or the four-parameter combination G_(c) proposed by ***,the application of this new method in describing the spatial nonuniformity distribution of depositions and predicting the soil hydraulic conductivity was *** research results can provide a reference for the refined representation of PSD curves.

OBJEcTIVE: To examine the influence of Saponin Ⅰ from Shuitianqi(Rhizoma Schizocapasae Plantagineae)(SSPH Ⅰ) on hepatocellular carcinoma(Hcc) metastasis,and to elucidate the underlying ***: The intrahepatic metastasis Bagg's Albino/c(BALB/c) mouse model was established with human hepatocellular carcinomas(HepG2) cells, then treated with normal saline(once per day), cisplatin(2 mg/kg, once every 2 d), and SSPH Ⅰ(25, 50, and 75 mg/kg, once per day). Then, we assessed alterations in the hepatic pathology and target protein expressions in the intrahepatic metastasis BALB/c mouse model using a series of molecular biology ***: Based on our analysis, SSPH Ⅰ significantly alleviated hepatocyte necrosis and tumor cells ***, SSPH Ⅰ suppressed extracellular matrix(EcM) degradation and angiogenesis via a decrease in matrix etalloproteinase-2(MMP-2), MMP-9, cD31, cD34,and vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF) ***, SSPH Ⅰ repressed invasion and metastasis by suppressing the transforming growth factor-β1(TGF-β 1)/Smad7 axis and epithelial-mesenchymal transition(EMT), as evidenced by the scarce TGF-β1, Ncadherin, and Vimentin expressions, and elevated Smad7 and E-cadherin ***: The SSPH Ⅰ-mediated negative regulation of the TGF-β 1/Smad7 axis and EMT are critical for the inhibition of Hcc invasion and metastasis.

Soil extracellular electron transfer(EET)is a pivotal biological process within the realm of ***,EET suffers from a lack of predictive ***,an intricately crafted machine learning model has been developed for the purpose of predicting soil EET by using the physicochemical properties of soil as independent input variables and the EET capabilities in terms of current density(j_(max))and coulombic charge(c_(out))as dependent output *** autoencoder ensemble stacking(AES)model was developed to address the aforementioned issue by integrating support vector machine,multilayer perceptron,extreme gradient boosting,and light gradient boosting machine algorithms as the stacking *** 10-fold crossvalidation,the AES model exhibited notable improvements in predicting j_(max)and c_(out),with average test R^(2)values of 0.83 and 0.84,respectively,surpassing those of single machine learning(ML)models and the basic ensemble *** utilizing partial correlation plots(PDPs),Shapley Additive explanations(SHAP)values,and SHAP decision plots,we quantitatively explained the impact and contribution of the input molecules on the AES model’s predictions of j_(max)and c_(out).In the context of the SHAP method for the AES model,total carbon(Tc)was identified as the most correlated descriptor for j_(max),while total organic carbon(TOc)stood out as the most relevant descriptor for c_(out).In the prediction tasks of j_(max)and c_(out)within the AES model,employing a multitask ML approach allowed the model to benefit from the shared information of input variables,thereby enhancing its overall *** study provides a feasible tool for the prediction of soil EET from soil physiochemical properties and an advanced understanding of the relationship between soil physiochemical properties and EET capability.

The potential of using eco-friendly thermoplastic polypropylene(PP)-based insulation for high voltage direct current(HVDc)cable has been widely investigated but much less work on the PP-based semiconducting screen(Sc).considering a long service life(>30 years)under high temperature and high electrical stress is required for typical HVDc cables,and investigations on the effect of antioxidant(AO)concentration and thermal oxidative sta-bility,mechanical,and electrical properties of PP-based Scs have been *** has been demonstrated that an appropriate combination and amounts of AOs are critical for achieving high thermal stability and maintaining the mechanical properties of Sc after ageing in a harsh environment(150°c,with cu,in air,7 days).Although higher amounts of space charges have been observed in Sc/PP/Sc samples with higher AO concentrations,the impact on space charge behaviours is less after ageing,suggesting that ageing(or operating at high temperature)leads to microstructure evolution in Sc and can potentially mitigate space accumulation in PP-based insulating materials.

Ice and snow tourism in china has grown significantly since the country successfully hosted the Beijing Winter *** conditions profoundly impact the development of ice and snow tourism;however,most studies have focused on constructing different climate suitability indicators for ice and snow tourism to evaluate individual regions,lacking horizontal comparative studies across multiple *** study aims to enrich the connotation of climate suitability for ice and snow sports,establish an evaluation model based on snowfall amount,temperature,and wind speed,and use daily meteorological data from 1991 to 2021 to horizontally compare the climate suitability for ice and snow sports in major ski tourism destinations in *** study boasts four major findings:1)the average ice and snow sports climate index of each region decreases over time,and the overall suitability of the climate for ice and snow sports is reducing;2)northern Xinjiang exhibits the most evident regional differentiation from‘very suitable’to‘generally suit-able’;3)the spatial zoning of climate suitability for ice and snow sports exhibits heterogeneity,as northern Xinjiang is divided into two‘suitable and above’zones with rotating empirical orthogonal function(REOF).correspondingly,the four provinces of Hebei,Hei-longjiang,Jilin,and Liaoning are divided into three‘generally suitable and above’zones;4)snowfall amount is the main factor affect-ing the climate suitability of ice and snow sports in the major ski tourist destinations in china.
