Double-exchange(DE) interaction plays an important role in electrocatalytic oxygen evolution reaction(OER).However,precise achievement of DE interaction often requires foreign dopants or vacancy engineering,leading to destabilization of the catalysts and deterioration of *** contrast,the utilization of environmentally friendly,contactless,and continuously adjustable magnetic fields to study the OER process is profitable to avoid aforementioned interference factors and further elucidate the direct relationship_(0.5)between DE interaction and OER ***,by using cobalt hydroxide carbonate(Co(OH)(CO_(3))·xH_(2)O,CoHC) nanostructures as a proof-of-concept study,external magnetic fields are carefully implemented to verify the role of DE interaction during water oxidation *** studies reveal that external magnetic fields effectively enhance the reaction rate of the catalyst,the overpotential decreases from 386 to 355 mV(100 mA·cm^(-2)),while tafel slopes drastically decline from 93 to 67 mV·dec^(-1)(1.0 t).Moreover,magnetic field increment exhibits robust *** in situ Raman and impedance measurements under external field,it can be found that magnetic field promotes the electron migration between Co^(2+) and Co^(3+) in the CoHC catalysts with the assistance of DE interactions,thus boosting the OER efficiency.

the ground-state mass excess of the t_(z)=−2 drip-line nucleus ^(22)Al is measured for the first time as 18103(10)keV using the newly-developed bρ-defined isochronous mass spectrometry method at the cooler storage ring in *** new mass excess value allowed us to determine the excitation energies of the two low-lying 1+states in ^(22)Al with significantly reduced uncertainties of 51 *** compared to the analogue states in its mirror nucleus ^(22)f,the mirror energy differences of the two 1^(+)states in the ^(22)Al-^(22)f mirror pair are determined to be−625(51)keV and−330(51)*** excitation energies and mirror energy differences are used to test the state-of-the-art ab initio valence-space in-medium similarity renormalization group calculations with four sets of interactions derived from the chiral effective field *** mechanism leading to the large mirror energy differences is investigated and attributed to the occupation of theπs_(1/2) orbital.

Hexagonal boron nitride nanosheets(bNNSs)exhibit remarkable thermal and dielectric ***,their self-assembly and alignment in macroscopic forms remain challenging due to the chemical inertness of boron nitride,thereby limiting their performance in applications such as thermal *** this study,we present a coaxial wet spinning approach for the fabrication of bNNSs/polymer composite fibers with high nanosheet *** composite fibers were prepared using a superacid-based solvent system and showed a layered structure comprising an aramid core and an aramid/bNNSs ***,the coaxial fibers exhibited significantly higher bNNSs alignment compared to uniaxial aramid/bNNSs fibers,primarily due to the additional compressive forces exerted at the core-sheath interface during the hot drawing *** a bNNSs loading of 60 wt%,the resulting coaxial fibers showed exceptional properties,including an ultrahigh Herman orientation parameter of 0.81,thermal conductivity of 17.2 W m^(-1)K^(-1),and tensile strength of 192.5 *** results surpassed those of uniaxial fibers and previously reported bNNSs composite fibers,making them highly suitable for applications such as wearable thermal management *** findings present a promising strategy for fabricating high-performance composite fibers based on bNNSs.

Mitochondrial membrane remodeling can trigger the release of mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA), leading to the activation of cellular oxidative stress and immune responses. While the role of mitochondrial membrane remodeling in promoting inflammation in hepatocytes is well-established, its effects on tumors have remained unclear. In this study, we designed a novel pt(IV) complex, OAp2, which is composed of oxaliplatin (Oxa) and acetaminophen (ApAp), to enhance its anti-tumor effects and amplify the immune response. Our findings demonstrate that OAp2 induces nuclear DNA damage, resulting in the production of nuclear DNA. Additionally, OAp2 downregulates the expression of mitochondrial Sam50, to promote mitochondrial membrane remodeling and trigger mtDNA secretion, leading to double-stranded DNA accumulation and ultimately synergistically activating the intracellular cGAS-StING pathway. the mitochondrial membrane remodeling induced by OAp2 overcomes the limitations of Oxa in activating the StING pathway and simultaneously promotes gasdermin-D-mediated cell pyroptosis. OAp2 also promotes dendritic cell maturation and enhances the quantity and efficacy of cytotoxic t cells, thereby inhibiting cancer cell proliferation and metastasis. briefly, our study introduces the first novel small-molecule inhibitor that regulates mitochondrial membrane remodeling for active immunotherapy in anti-tumor research, which may provide a creative idea for targeting organelle in anti-tumor therapy.

bACKGROUND the objectives of this study were to assess the safety and efficacy of drug-eluting bead transarterial chemoembolization(DEb-tACE)as neoadjuvant therapy before liver transplantation(lt)for advanced-stage hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)and to analyze the prognostic *** to determine whether DEb-tACE before lt is superior to lt for advanced-stage *** A total of 99 individuals diagnosed with advanced HCC were studied *** participants were categorized into the following two groups based on whether they had received DEb-tACE before lt:DEb-tACE group(n=45)and control group(n=54).the participants were further divided into two subgroups based on the presence or absence of segmental portal vein tumor thrombus(pVtt).the DEb-tACE group consisted of two subgroups:Group A(n=31)without pVtt and group b(n=14)with *** control group also had two subgroups:Group C(n=37)without pVtt and group D(n=17)with *** on patient demographics,disease characteristics,therapy response,and adverse events(AEs)were *** overall survival(OS)and recurrence-free survival(RfS)rates were assessed using Kaplan-Meier *** and multivariate Cox regression analyses were conducted to determine the parameters that were independently related to OS and *** the DEb-tACE group exhibited an overall response rate of 86.6%.following therapy,there was a significant decrease in the median alpha-fetoprotein(Afp)level(275.1 ng/ml vs 41.7 ng/ml,pthe main AE was post-embolization *** 2-year rates of RfS and OS were significantly higher in the DEb-tACE group than in the control group(68.9%vs 38.9%,p=0.003;86.7%vs 63.0%,p=0.008).Within the subgroups,group A had higher 2-year rates of RfS and OS compared to group C(71.0%vs 45.9%,p=0.038;83.8%vs 62.2%,p=0.047).the 2-year RfS rate of group b was markedly superior to that of group D(64.3%vs 23.5%,p=0.002).Results from multivariate analyses showed that pre-lt DEb-tACE[hazard ratio(HR)=
