Improvement of shape, memory.effect (SME) in Fe-Mn-Si based alloy. has been investigated, compared with that by.conventional 'training' treatment. It is found that SME in Fe-Mn-Si alloy.can be greatly.improved by.ausforming and 3.8%recovery.strain and 2.2% complete recovery.strain can be reached by.ausforming at 973 K when dy.amic recry.tallization has just occurred. The mechanism for the improvement of SME is proposed.

Background:Targeted T-cell therapy.has emerged as a promising strategy.for the treatment of hematological ***,its application to solid tumors presents significant challenges due to the limited accessibility.and *** delivery.of tumor-specific T-cells using biomaterials has shown promise,however,procedures required for genetic modification and generation of a sufficient number of tumor-specific T-cells ex vivo remain major obstacles due to cost and time ***:Poly.thy.ene gly.ol(PEG)-based three-dimensional(3D)scaffolds were developed and conjugated with positively.charged poly.L-ly.ine(PLL)using carbamide chemistry.for efficient loading of lentiviruses(LVs)carry.ng tumor antigen-specific T-cell receptors(TcRs).The phy.ical and biological properties of the scaffold were extensively.***,the scaffold loaded with OVA-TcR LVs was implanted in B16F10 cells expressing ovalbumin(B16-OVA)tumor model to evaluate the anti-tumor response and the presence of transduced ***:Our findings demonstrate that the scaffolds do not induce any.sy.temic inflammation upon subcutaneous implantation and effectively.recruit T-cells to the *** B16-OVA melanoma tumor-bearing mice,the scaffolds efficiently.transduce host T-cells with OVA-specific *** genetically.modified T-cells exhibit homing capability.towards the tumor and secondary.ly.phoid organs,resulting in a significant reduction of tumor size and sy.temic increase in anti-tumor *** cell profiling revealed a significantly.high percentage of transduced T-cells and a notable reduction in suppressor immune cells within the tumors of mice implanted with these ***:Our scaffold-based T-cell therapy.presents an innovative in situ localized approach for programming T-cells to target solid *** approach offers a viable alternative to in vitro manipulation of T-cells,circumventing the need for large-scale in vitro generat

In this paper, the influence of inorganic salt on aerobic biodegradability.of dy.stuffs was studied by.means of semi-continuous activated sludge method. It was found that: biodegradability.of dy.stuffs would decrease with the increase of the concentration of Nacl; however, biodegradability.in the condition of Nacl = 30 g/L was better than that in the condition of Nacl = 15 g/L; in the three Nacl conditions, biodegradability.of tested dy.stuffs followed the following order: Nacl = 0 g/L>Nacl = 30 g/L>Nacl = 15 g/L.

The mathematical model has been estublished for the simulation of steel coil＇s heat transfer during annealing thermal process in HPH （high performance hy.rogen） furnace. The equivalent radial thermal conductivity.is adopted by.statistical analy.is regression approach through the combination of a large quantity.of production data collected in practice and theoretical analy.es. The effect of the number of coils on circulating flow gas is considered for calculating the convection heat transfer coefficient, The temperature within the coil is predicted with the developed model during the annealing cy.le including heating process and cooling process. The good consistently.between the predicted results and the experimental data has demonstrated that the mathematical model established and the parameters identified by.this paper are scientifically.feasible and the effective method of calculation for coil equivalent radial heat transfer coefficient and circulating gas flow has been identified successfully. which largely.enhances the operability.and feasibility.of the mathematic- model. This model provides a theoretical basis and an effective means to conduct studies on the impact that foresaid factors may.imposed on the steel coil＇s temperature field, to analy.e the stress within coils, to realize online control and optimal production and to increase facilily.output by.increasing heating and cooling rates of coils without producing higher thermal stress.

Linear and nonlinear analy.es of water waves in an elastic vessel are carried out to study.the dramatic phenomena of Dragon Wash as well as related controllable experiments. It is proposed that the capillary.edge waves are generated by.parametric resonance, which is shown to be a possible mechanism for both rectangular an circular vessels. For circular vessel, the normal geometric resonance is also operating, thus greatly. enhance the dramatic effect. The mechanism of nonlinear mode-mode interaction is proposed far the generation of axisy.metric low-frequency.gravity.waves by.the high-frequency.external excitation. A simple model sy.tem is studied numerically.to demonstrate explicitly.this interaction mechanism.

cN x films were made by.a facing targets sputtering ( FTS) sy.temon the  Si(100) substrate under different  N 2 partial pressure.  XRD, XPS, FTIR and Raman Spectroscopy. RS) were measured to investigate the structure and the binding state of the film. The films are amorphous and the  N/c increases with the  N 2 partial pressure increasing and reaches 0 46 when the  N 2 pressure is 100%. The N incorporated  c forms N sp 2c and N sp 3c mainly.and there is a small amount of  c≡N.

Buckling restrained knee braced truss moment frame （BRKBTMF） is a novel and innovative steel structural sy.tem that utilizes the advantages of long-span trusses and dedicated structural fuses for seismic applications. Steel trusses are very.economical and effective in spanning large distance. However, conventional steel trusses are ty.ically.not suitable for seismic application, due to its lack of ductility.and poor energy.dissipation capacity. BRKBTMF utilizes buckling restrained braces （BRBs） as the designated structural fuses to dissipate the sudden surge of earthquake energy. This allows the BRKBTMF to economically.and efficiently.create large span structural sy.tems for seismic applications. In this paper, a prototy.e BRKBTMF office building located in Berkeley. california, USA, was designed using performance-based plastic design procedure. The seismic performance of the prototy.e building was assessed using the state-of-the-art finite element software, OpenSees. Detailed BRB hy.teresis and advanced element removal technique was implemented. The modeling approach allows the simulation for the force-deformation response of the BRB and the force redistribution within the sy.tem after the BRBs fracture. The developed finite element model was analy.ed using incremental dy.amic analy.is approach to quantify.the seismic performance of BRKBTMF. The results show BRKBTMF has excellent seismic performance with well controlled structural responses and resistance against collapse. In addition, life cy.le repair cost of BRKBTMF was assessed using the next-generation performance-based earthquake engineering framework. The results confirm that BRKBTMF can effectively.control the structural and non-structural component damages and minimize the repair costs of the structure under different ranges of earthquake shaking intensities. This studies conclude that BRKBTMF is a viable and effective seismic force resisting sy.tem.

Giant magneto-impedance (MI) effect in thin films with longitudinal magnetic anisotropy.was studied theoretically. The effective permeability.of films as a function of external magnetic field Ha, anisotropy.field and other parameters of films was presented by.Landau-Lifshitz-Gilbert theory. The theoretical results agree well with the experimental data, which shows a strong dependence of the impedance on the applied magnetic field.

Highly.transparent ZnO thin films were deposited at different substrate temperatures by.pulsed laser deposition in an oxy.en atmosphere. The thin films were characterized by.various techniques including X-ray.diffraction, scanning electron microscopy. optical absorption, and photoluminescence. We demonstrated that oriented wurtzite ZnO thin films could be deposited at room temperature using a high purity.zinc target. Variable temperature photoluminescence revealed new characteristics in the band edge emission. The underly.ng mechanism for the observed phenomena was also discussed.
