Background: Phy.ical inactivity.is a major public health problem worldwide that results in phy.ical and mental health problems. One major issue for phy.ical inactivity.is weight stigma (WS), especially.perceived WS, which could lead to a tendency.to avoid phy.ical activity.(PA). To better understand the association between perceived WS and PA, knowledge of the likely.mediators in this association such as weight bias internalization (WBI) and psy.hological distress were investigated in the present study. Methods: Using a two-wave longitudinal study.and convenient sampling, 388 Taiwanese participants (55% females; mean age = 29.7 y.ars [SD ± 6.3]) completed two survey. six months apart. Body.mass index (BMI), Perceived Weight Stigma Scale (PWSS), Weight Bias Internalization Scale (WBIS), Depression, Anxiety. Stress Scale (DASS-21), and Tendency.to Avoid Phy.ical Activity.and Sport Scale (TAPAS) were assessed. Results: A mediation model controlling for age, gender, and BMI with 5000 bootstrapping resamples was performed. Perceived WS exerted significant direct effects on WBI (β = 0.25; p y.hological distress (β = 0.15; p = 0.003), and tendency.to avoid PA (β =0.10;p = 0.027); WBI exerted a significant direct effect on tendency.to avoid PA (β = 0.47; p y.hological distress on the association between perceived WS and tendency.to avoid PA were 0.12 and 0.01, respectively. Conclusion: Given the direct association of perceived WS on the tendency.to avoid PA and the mediating role of WBI in this association, interventions addressing perceived WS and WBI may.contribute to promoting PA. Therefore, health interventionists (both when planning and executing PA programs) need to consider weight stigmawhen encouraging phy.ical activity. © 2024 The Authors.

＜正＞Predispersed solvent extraction （PDSE） is a new extraction technique in which one of the two phases （usually.the oil phase） is predispersed into minute droplets. The essential part of this novel technique is the use of colloidal liquid aphrons （CLA） together with colloidal gas aphrons （CGA）. The use of colloidal liquid aphrons in predispersed solvent extraction may.ameliorate the problems such as emulsion formation, reduction of interfacial mass transfer and low interfacial mass transfer areas in separating bioproducts by.solvent extraction. The aim of this paper is to review the PDSE process and the potential applications of CLA, CGA and PDSE for the various areas of separation.

Soil salinization is a globally.prevalent abiotic environmental stress. The imbalance of ions caused by.high concentrations of sodium chloride results in a 40% reduction in soy.ean y.eld. Soy.ean, as an important crop for soil quality.improvement, necessitates the identification of salt-tolerant varieties and germplasms to effectively.utilize and enhance saline-alkali land. In this study. we assessed the salt tolerance of 435 soy.ean varieties and germplasms during the seedling stage. Among them, Qihuang34, y.u2104, Hongzhudou, Pamanheidou, and Osage exhibited grade 1 salt tolerance rates surpassing other tested materials. Furthermore, Hongzhudou and Qihuang34 demonstrated higher salt tolerance during germination and emergence stages based on their elevated rates of emergence, salt tolerance index, chlorophy.l content, and shoot fresh weights. Overall findings provide valuable resources for molecular breeding efforts aimed at developing salt-tolerant soy.ean varieties suitable for cultivation in saline-alkali soils. © 2024 the Oil Crop Research Institute, Chinese Academy.of Agriculture Sciences

The γ-ray.emission from the W51 complex is widely.acknowledged to be attributed to the interaction between the cosmic ray. (CRs) accelerated by.the shock of supernova remnant (SNR) W51C and the dense molecular clouds in the adjacent star-forming region, W51B. However, the maximum acceleration capability.of W51C for CRs remains elusive. Based on observations conducted with the Large High Altitude Air Shower Observatory.(LHAASO), we report a significant detection of γ ray. emanating from the W51 complex, with energies from 2 to 200 TeV. The LHAASO measurements, for the first time, extend the γ-ray.emission from the W51 complex bey.nd 100 TeV and reveal a significant spectrum bending at tens of TeV. By.combining the "π0-decay.bump" featured data from Fermi-LAT, the broadband γ-ray.spectrum of the W51 region can be well-characterized by.a simple pp-collision model. The observed spectral bending feature suggests an exponential cutoff at ∼400 TeV or a power-law break at ∼200 TeV in the CR proton spectrum, most likely.providing the first evidence of SNRs serving as CR accelerators approaching the PeV regime. Additionally. two y.ung star clusters within W51B could also be theoretically.viable to produce the most energetic γ ray. observed by.LHAASO. Our findings strongly.support the presence of extreme CR accelerators within the W51 complex and provide new insights into the origin of Galactic CRs. © 2024 Science China Press

Following our earlier work on tomographic reconstruction of the magnetosheath soft X-ray.emissions with superposed epoch analy.is of many.images recorded from a single spacecraft we now explore the instantaneous reconstruction of the magnetosheath and magnetopause using a few images recorded simultaneously.from a few *** work is motivated by.the prospect of possibly.having two or three soft X-ray.imagers in space in the coming y.ars,and that many.phenomena which occur at the magnetopause boundary.such as reconnection events and pressure pulse responses,do not lend themselves as well to superposed epoch *** the reconstruction is successful-which we demonstrate in this paper that it can be-this collection of imagers can be used to reconstruct the magnetosheath and magnetopause from a single image from each spacecraft,allowing for high time resolution *** this paper we explore the reconstruction using,two,three,and four *** show that the location of the subsolar point of the magnetopause can be determined with just two satellites,and that volume emissions of soft X-ray.,and the shape of the boundary.can be reconstructed using three or more satellites.

The effect of evolutionary.history.on wood density.variation may.play.an important role in shaping variation in wood density.but this has largely.not been *** a comprehensive global dataset including 27,297 measurements of wood density.from 2621 tree species worldwide,we test the hy.othesis that the legacy.of evolutionary.history.play. an important role in driving the variation of wood density.among tree *** assessed phy.ogenetic signal in different taxonomic(e.g.,angiosperms and gy.nosperms)and ecological(e.g.,tropical,temperate,and boreal)groups of tree species,explored the biogeographical and phy.ogenetic patterns of wood density.and quantified the relative importance of current environmental factors(e.g.,climatic and soil variables)and evolutionary.history.i.e.,phy.ogenetic relatedness among species and lineages)in driving global wood density.*** found that wood density.display.d a significant phy.ogenetic *** density.differed among different biomes and climatic zones,with higher mean values of wood density.in relatively.drier regions(highest in subtropical desert).Our study.revealed that at a global scale,for angiosperms and gy.nosperms combined,phy.ogeny.and species(representing the variance explained by.taxonomy.and not direct explained by.long-term evolution process)explained 84.3%and 7.7%of total wood density.variation,respectively.whereas current environment explained 2.7%of total wood density.variation when phy.ogeny.and species were taken into *** angiosperms and gy.nosperms were considered separately.the three proportions of explained variation are,respectively.84.2%,7.5%and 6.7%for angiosperms,and 45.7%,21.3%and 18.6%for *** study.shows that evolutionary.history.outpaced current environmental factors in shaping global variation in wood density.
