In this study.a numerical method based on the Pell-Lucas poly.omials(PLPs)is developed to solve the fractional order HIV/AIDS epidemic model with a treatment *** HIV/AIDS mathematical model with a treatment compartment is divided into five classes,namely.susceptible patients(S),HIV-positive individuals(I),individuals with full-blown AIDS but not receiving ArV treatment(A),individuals being treated(T),and individuals who have changed their sexual habits sufficiently.r).According to the method,by.utilizing the PLPs and the collocation points,we convert the fractional order HIV/AIDS epidemic model with a treatment compartment into a nonlinear sy.tem of the algebraic ***,the error analy.is is presented for the Pell-Lucas approximation *** aim of this study.is to observe the behavior of five populations after 200 day. when drug treatment is applied to HIV-infectious and full-blown AIDS *** demonstrate the usefulness of this method,the applications are made on the numerical example with the help of *** addition,four cases of the fractional order derivative(p=1,p=0.95,p=0.9,p=0.85)are examined in the range[0,200].Owing to applications,we figured out that the outcomes have quite decent ***,we understand that the errors decrease when the value of N *** figures in this study.are created in *** outcomes indicate that the presented method is reasonably.sufficient and correct.

Many.phenomena in nature and technology.are associated with the filtration of suspensions and colloids in porous media. Two main ty.es of particle deposition,namely. cake filtration at the inlet and deep bed filtration throughout the entire porous medium, are studied by.different models. A unified approach for the transport and deposition of particles based on the deep bed filtration model is proposed. A variable suspension flow rate, proportional to the number of free pores at the inlet of the porous medium, is considered. To model cake filtration, this flow rate is introduced into the mass balance equation of deep bed filtration. For the cake filtration without deposit erosion,the suspension flow rate decreases to zero, and the suspension does not penetrate deep into the porous medium. In the case of the cake filtration with erosion, the suspension flow rate is nonzero, and the deposit is distributed throughout the entire porous medium. An exact solution is obtained for a constant filtration function. The method of characteristics is used to construct the asy.ptotics of the concentration front of suspended and retained particles for a filtration function in a general form. Explicit formulae are obtained for a linear filtration function. The properties of these solutions are studied in detail.

Glutamine is one of the most abundant non-essential amino acids in human plasma and play. a crucial role in many.biological processes of the human body. Tumor cells take up a large amount of glutamine to meet their rapid proliferation requirements, which is supported by.the upregulation of glutamine transporters. Targeted inhibition of glutamine transporters effectively.inhibits cell growth and proliferation in tumors. Among all cancers, digestive sy.tem malignant tumors (DSMTs) have the highest incidence and mortality.rates, and the current therapeutic strategies for DSMTs are mainly.surgical resection and chemotherapy. Due to the relatively.low survival rate and severe side effects associated with DSMTs treatment, new treatment strategies are urgently.required. This article summarizes the glutamine transporters involved in DSMTs and describes their role in DSMTs. Additionally. glutamine transporter-target drugs are discussed, providing theoretical guidance for the further development of drugs DSMTs treatment. © 2024 The Authors.

Nature provides a wealth of bio-inspiration for advanced material *** various nanomaterials into biomimetic microtextures with bioinspired functionalities has spurred increasing research interests and facilitated technological advances in various *** recent y.ars,two-dimensional materials(2DMs)have emerged as important building block units in the biomimicry.field due to their distinct chemical,phy.ical,electrical,electrochemical,and cataly.ic *** this review article,various mechanically.driven assembly.approaches are summarized to fabricate various genealogies of biomimetic 2DM microtextures with bio-inspired ***,sequential deformation strategies are discussed to programmably.construct higher dimensional 2DM microtextures,ranging from wrinkles/crumples(one-time deformation)to multiscale hierarchies(multiple deformations).Next,the current progress using higher dimensional 2DM microtextures to imitate different biological structures and/or induce bio-inspired multifunctionality.is sy.tematically.*** showcases of bio-inspiration and biomimicry.using different 2DM nanosheets are highlighted:(1)wrinkle patterns of an earthworm that spur the design of strain sensors with programmable working ranges and sensitivities,(2)wrinkle appearance of a Shar-Pei dog that motivates the fabrication of stretchable energy.storage devices,(3)hierarchical scale textures of a desert lizard that inspire cation-induced gelation platforms for 2DM aerogels,and(4)wrinkle skin of an elephant that influences the development of 2DM protective skin for soft ***,challenges and future opportunities of adopting 2DM nanosheets to assemble biomimetic microstructures with sy.ergistic functionalities are discussed.

BACKGrOUND Open long bone fractures are a major concern for pediatric patients due to the risk of surgical site infection(SSI).Early.studies have recommended irrigation and debridement of open fractures within 6 hours-8 hours for the prevention of *** to the American College of Surgeons(ACS)Best Practice Guidelines,in 2015,irrigation and debridement should be done within 24 *** To identify.whether early.irrigation and debridement,within 8 hours,vs late,between 8 hours and 24 hours,for pediatric open long bone fractures impacts rate of *** Using retrospective data review from the National Trauma Data Bank,Trauma Quality.Improvement Project(TQIP)of *** database is own by.the ACS and it is the largest database for trauma quality.program in the *** matching analy.is was performed for the *** There were 390 pediatric patients with open long bone fractures who were incl-uded in the *** completing propensity.score matching,we had 176 patients in each category.irrigation and debridement within 8 hours and irrigation and debridement between 8 hours and 24 *** found no significant differences between each group for the rate of deep SSI which was 0.6%for patients who received surgical irrigation and debridement within 8 hours and 1.1%for those who received it after 8 hours[adjusted odd ratio(AOr):0.5,95%CI:0.268-30.909,P>0.99].For the secondary.outcomes studied,in terms of length of hospital stay.patients who received irrigation and debridement within 8 hours stay.d for an average of 3.5 day.,and those who received it after 8 hours stay.d for an average of 3 day.,with no significant difference found,and there were also no sig-nificant differences found between the discharge dispositions of the *** Our findings support the recommendation for managing open long bone fractures from the ACS:Complete surgical irrigation and debridement within 24 hours.
