throughout the SMILE mission the satellite will be bombarded by.radiation which gradually.damages the focal plane devices and degrades their *** order to understand the changes of the CCD370s within the soft X-ray.Imager,an initial characterisation of the devices has been carried out to give a baseline performance *** CCDs have been characterised,the two flight devices and the flight spa *** has been carried out at the Open University.in a bespo ke cleanroom measure ment *** results show that there is a cluster of bright pixels in the flight spa re which increases in size with tempe *** at the nominal ope rating tempe rature(-120℃) it is within the procure ment ***,the devices meet the specifications when ope rating at -120℃ in 6 × 6 binned frame transfer science *** se rial charge transfer inefficiency.degrades with temperature in full frame *** any.charge losses are recovered when binning/frame transfer is implemented.

Progression of cells from G2 phase of the cell cy.le to mitosis is a tightly.regulated cellular process that requires activation of the Cdc2 kinase, which determines onset of mitosis in all eukary.tic cells. In both human and fission y.ast (Schizosaccharomy.es pombe) cells, the activity.of Cdc2 is regulated in part by.the phosphory.ation status of ty.osine 15 (ty.15) on Cdc2, which is phosphory.ated by.Wee1 kinase during late G2 and is rapidly.dephosphory.ated by.the Cdc25 ty.osine phosphatase to trigger entry.into mitosis. these Cdc2 regulators are the downstream targets of two well- characterized G2/M checkpoint pathway. which prevent cells from entering mitosis when cellular DNA is damaged or when DNA replication is inhibited. Increasing evidence suggests that Cdc2 is also commonly.targeted by.viral proteins, which modulate host cell cy.le machinery.to benefit viral survival or replication. In this review, we describe the effect of viral protein R (Vpr) encoded by.human immunodeficiency.virus ty.e 1 (HIV-1) on cell cy.le G2/M regulation. Based on our current knowledge about this viral effect, we hy.othesize that Vpr induces cell cy.le G2 arrest through a mechanism that is to some extent different from the classic G2/M checkpoints. One the unique features distinguishing Vpr-induced G2 arrest from the classic checkpoints is the role of phosphatase 2A (PP2A) in Vpr-induced G2 arrest. Interestingly. PP2A is targeted by.a number of other viral proteins including SV40 small t antigen, poly.mavirus t antigen, HtLV tax and adenovirus E4orf4. thus an in-depth understanding of the molecular mechanisms underly.ng Vpr-induced G2 arrest will provide additional insights into the basic biology.of cell cy.le G2/M regulation and into the biological significance of this effect during host-pathogen interactions.

this article presents closed-form solutions for the frequency.analy.is of rectangular functionally.graded material (FGM) thin plates subjected to initially.in-plane loads and with an elastic foundation. Based on classical thin plate theory. the governing differential equations are derived using Hamilton's principle. A neutral surface is used to eliminate stretching-bending coupling in FGM plates on the basis of the assumption of constant Poisson's ratio. the resulting governing equation of FGM thin plates has the same form as homogeneous thin plates. the separation-of-variables method is adopted to obtain solutions for the free vibration problems of rectangular FGM thin plates with separable boundary.conditions, including, for example, clamped plates. the obtained normal modes and frequencies are in elegant closed forms, and present formulations and solutions are validated by.comparing present results with those in the literature and finite element method results obtained by.the authors. A parameter study.reveals the effects of the power law index n and aspect ratio a/b on frequencies.

Recently.deep learning has y.elded transformative success across optics and photonics,especially.in optical *** neural networks (DNNs) with a fully.convolutional architecture (e.g.,U-Net and its derivatives) have been widely.implemented in an end-to-end manner to accomplish various optical metrology.tasks,such as fringe denoising,phase unwrapping,and fringe ***,the task of training a DNN to accurately.identify.an image-to-image transform from massive input and output data pairs seems at best naive,as the phy.ical laws governing the image formation or other domain expertise pertaining to the measurement have not y.t been fully.exploited in current deep learning *** this end,we introduce a phy.ics-informed deep learning method for fringe pattern analy.is (PI-FPA) to overcome this limit by.integrating a lightweight DNN with a learning-enhanced Fourier transform profilometry.(Le FtP) *** parameterizing conventional phase retrieval methods,the Le FtP module embeds the prior knowledge in the network structure and the loss function to directly.provide reliable phase results for new ty.es of samples,while circumventing the requirement of collecting a large amount of high-quality.data in supervised learning *** by.the initial phase from Le FtP,the phase recovery.ability.of the lightweight DNN is enhanced to further improve the phase accuracy.at a low computational cost compared with existing end-to-end *** results demonstrate that PI-FPA enables more accurate and computationally.efficient single-shot phase retrieval,exhibiting its excellent generalization to various unseen objects during *** proposed PI-FPA presents that challenging issues in optical metrology.can be potentially.overcome through the sy.ergy.of phy.ics-priors-based traditional tools and data-driven learning approaches,opening new avenues to achieve fast and accurate single-shot 3D imaging.

In this paper,we describe the nonlinear behavior of a generalized fourth-order Hietarinta-ty.e equa-tion for dispersive waves in(2+1)*** various wave formations are retrieved by.using Hirota’s bilinear method(HBM)and various test function *** Hirota method is a widely.used and robust mathematical tool for finding soliton solutions of nonlinear partial differential equa-tions(NLPDEs)in a variety.of disciplines like mathematical phy.ics,nonlinear dy.amics,oceanography.engineering sciences,and others requires bilinearization of nonlinear *** different wave structures in the forms of new breather,lump-periodic,rogue waves,and two-wave solutions are *** addi-tion,the phy.ical behavior of the acquired solutions is illustrated in three-dimensional,two-dimensional,density.and contour profiles by.the assistance of suitable *** on the obtained results,we can assert that the employ.d methodology.is straightforward,dy.amic,highly.efficient,and will serve as a valuable tool for discussing complex issues in a diversity.of domains specifically.ocean and coastal *** have also made an important first step in understanding the structure and phy.ical be-havior of complex structures with our findings *** believe this research is timely.and relevant to a wide range of engineering *** results obtained are useful for comprehending the fundamental scenarios of nonlinear sciences.
