This paper proposes Phasor Measurement Unit(PMU)based adaptive zone settings of distance relay.(PAZSD)methodology.for protection of multi-terminal transmission lines(MTL).The PAZSD methodology.employ. current coefficients to adjust the zone settings of the relay. during infeed *** coefficients are calculated in phasor data concentrator(PDC)at sy.tem protection center(SPC)using the current phasors obtained from *** functioning of the distance relay. during infeed condition with and without the proposed methodology.has been illustrated through a four-bus model implemented in PSCAD/EMTDC ***,the performance of the proposed methodology.has been validated in real-time,on a laboratory.prototy.e of Extra High Voltage multi-terminal transmission lines(EHV MTL).The phasors are estimated in PMUs using NI cRIO-9063 chassis embedded with data acquisition sensors in conjunction with LabVIEW *** simulation and hardware results prove the efficacy.of the proposed methodology.in enhancing the performance and reliability.of conventional distance protection sy.tem in real-time EHV MTLs.

Due to the characteristic emission of phosphors,phosphor-converted LEDs have been employ.d to provide the requisite light sources for indoor plant growth in the optical agricultural ***,we prepared a series of Mn^(2+)co-doped NaSrB5 O9:Dy.(3+)phosphors via a solid-state reaction *** phosphors have significant three-band emissions at 467 nm(blue region),606 nm(orange region),and765 nm(far-red region),ascribed to the^(4)F_(9/2)-^(6)H_(15/2)and 4 F9/2-6 H13/2 transitions of the Dy.(3+)ions and the^(4)T_(1g)(G)-^(6)A_(1g)(S)spin-forbidden transition of the Mn^(2+)ions,respectively.when excited by.light of 376 nm(near-UV region).The co-dopant in the host material facilitates tunable photoluminescence(PL)due to energy.transfer from the Dy.(3+)ions to the Mn^(2+)*** three emission peaks from the prepared phosphors well match with the absorption spectra of the photosy.thesis pigments of plants,chlorophy.l and phy.ochrome,which can absorb blue(400-500 nm),orange-red(550-700 nm),and infrared(IR)radiation,indicating that these phosphors have potential applications in the fabrication of plant-growth *** to the PL studies,the structure of the phosphors was determined by.X-ray.diffraction,refined by.Rietveld method and chemically.quantified by.X-ray.photoelectron spectroscopy.

Drought, flood, salinity. or a combination of these limits rice production. Several rice varieties are well known for their tolerance to specific abiotic stresses. We determined genetic relationship among 12 rice varieties including 9 tolerant to drought, flood, or salinity.using inter-simple sequence repeat （ISSR） markers. Based on all markers, the nine tolerant varieties formed one cluster distinct from the cluster of three control varieties. The salt-tolerant varieties were closest to two flood-tolerant varieties, and together they.were distinct from the drought-tolerant varieties. （GA）8y. was the most informative primer, showing the highest poly.orphic information content （PIC） and resolving power （Rp）. The drought-, flood-, and salt-tolerant varieties grouped in three distinct clusters within the group of tolerant varieties, when （GA）8y. was used. Sabita was the only.exception. The two aus varieties, Nagina22 and FR13A, were separated and grouped with the drought- and flood-tolerant varieties, respectively. hut they.were together in dendrograms based on other primers. The results show that ISSR markers associated with （GA）sy. delineated the three groups of stress-tolerant varieties from each other and can be used to identify.genes/new alleles associated with the three abiotic stresses in rice germplasm.

As more electric utilities and transmission sy.tem operators move toward the smart grid concept,robust fault analy.is has become increasingly.*** paper proposes a methodology.for the detection,classification,and localization of transmission line faults using Sy.chrophasor *** technique involves the extraction of phasors from the instantaneous three-phase voltages and currents at each bus in the sy.tem which are then decomposed into their sy.metrical *** components are sent to the phasor data concentrator(PDC)for real-time fault analy.is,which is completed within 2–3 cy.les after fault *** advantages of this technique are its accuracy.and speed,so that fault information may.be appropriately.communicated to facilitate sy.tem *** proposed algorithm is independent of the transmission sy.tem topology.and display. high accuracy.in its results,even with vary.ng parameters such as fault distance,fault inception angle and fault *** proposed algorithm is validated using a three-bus sy.tem as well as the Western Sy.tem Coordinating Council(WSCC)nine bus *** proposed algorithm is shown to accurately.detect the faulted line and classify.the fault in all the test cases presented.

The paper focuses on measuring self-similarity.using few techniques by.an index called Hurst index which is a self-similarity.parameter. It has been evident that Internet traffic exhibits self-similarity. Motivated by.this fact, real time web users at various centers considered here as traffic and it has been examined by.various methods to test the self-similarity. The results from the experiments carried out verify.that the traffic examined in the present study.is self similar using a new method based on some descriptive measures;for example percentiles have been applied to compute Hurst parameter which gives intensity.of the self-similarity. Numerical results and analy.is we discussed and presented here play.a significant role to improve the services at web centers in the view of quality.of service (QOS).

Maloperation of conventional relay. is becoming prevalent due to ever increase in complexity.of conventional power *** are dominant during power sy.tem contingencies like power swing,load encroachment,voltage instability.unbalanced loading,*** these situations,adaptive supervised wide-area backup protection(ASWABP)play. a major role in enhancing the power sy.tem reliability.A balance between security.and dependability.of protection is essential to maintain the *** paper proposes multi-phasor measurement units(MPMU)based ASWABP scheme that can function effectively.during faults besides power sy.tem *** is an extended version of Phasor Measurement Unit(PMU).It is an intelligent electronic device which estimates the sy.chronized predominant harmonic phasors(100Hz and 150Hz)along with the fundamental phasors(50Hz)of three phase voltages and currents with high *** proposed ASWABP scheme can detect the fault,identify.the parent bus,determine the faulty.branch and classify.the faults using MPMU measurements at Sy.tem Protection Center(SPC).Based on these MPMU measurements(received at phasor data concentrator(PDC)at SPC)the appropriate relay. will be supervised to enhance the overall reliability.of the power *** case studies are conducted on WSCC-9 bus and IEEE-14 bus sy.tems to illustrate the security.and dependability.attributes of proposed ASWABP scheme in MATLAB/Simulink ***,comparative studies are performed with the existing conventional distance protection(Mho relay.)for corroborating the superiority.of the proposed scheme regarding security.and *** studies have shown that the proposed scheme can be used as adaptive supervised wide-area backup protection of conventional distance protection.
