This study.aimed to examine the effects of inoculating Fritillaria taipaiensis *** leaves with different strains ofpotassium-solubilizing bacteria (KSB), or combinations thereof, focusing on aspects of photosy.thesis and phy.iologicaland biochemical characteristics. At present, some studies have only.studied the rhizosphere microbialcommunity.characteristics of F. taipaiensis and have not discussed the effects of different microbial species on thegrowth promotion of F. taipaiensis. This paper will start from the perspective of potassium-solubilizing bacteria toconduct an in-depth study. Seed cultivation commenced at the base with three different KSBs in early.October2022. The growth of F. taipaiensis leaves was observed after different treatments. Both single-plant and compoundinoculations were executed. A total of eight treatment groups were established, with aseptic fertilizer and sterilizedsoil functioning as the control group. The results reveal that intercellular CO_(2) concentration (Ci), stomatal conductance(Gs), and transpiration rate (Tr) were at their apex in the S7 group. Most treatment groups exhibited anincrease in leaf area, photosy.thetic pigment content, soluble sugar, soluble protein, Superoxide Dismutase(SOD), Peroxidase (POD), Catalase (CAT) activities, and proline content. The expression levels of POD, SOD,and CAT genes were evaluated, following inoculation with different KSB. The highest was the S7 group. Theinoculation with various KSB, or combinations thereof, appears to bolster the growth and development of F. *** composite inoculation group S7, comprising Bacillus cereus, Burkholderia cepacia, and Bacillus subtilis,manifested the most favorable impact on the diverse indices of F. taipaiensis, thereby.furnishing valuableinsights for the selection of bacterial fertilizer in the artificial cultivation of F. taipaiensis.

THE MICROSTRUCTURAL BANDING IN THE CENTER OF HOT ROLLLNG STRIP

The microstructural banding in steels is often found in hot rolling strips, which play. a very.important role in mechanical properties. Much work has been done to investigate how the microstructural banding is formed during hot rolling. In the present study. the microstructure of hot rolling strips was examined in term of optical microscopy.and transmission electron microscopy. Electron probe microanaly.is was also used to decide the distribution of microchemical bands, by.this means, the phases in these strips were found to be ferrite and pearlite. The average distance between the carbon lamellas in pearlite is about 0.06-0.1μm. It is also shown that microstructural banding in hot rolled carbon steel was closely.related to the segregation of manganese and silicon into those bands. Based on the transformation kinetic, the simulated results pointed out that the thermody.amic stability.of austenite would increase with the increasing of Mn, which led to a decrease of ferrite growth rate. The effect of Mn on the decomposition of austenite is attributed to segregation of Mn atoms along the ferrite/austenite phase boundary.which causes a strong solute drag effect. The addition of Mn to steel decreases the activity.of austenite, thereby.it is beneficial to the formation of non-equilibrium phase, such as degenerate pearlite. The formation of banded structure on the hot rolled process was discussed.

By.means of surface mechanical attrition treatment （ SMAT）, the groin size with a diameter of aboat 60hm formed at about 20μm depth and numerous mechanical twins at about 50μm depth from the treated surface were sy.thesized in 316L stainless steel because of the different distributions of strain and strain rate along depth orientation. For instance the maximum strain rate reached 10^3-10^4s^-1 on the top surface. The relationship between the microsturcture and the corrosion property.was studied in 0.05M H2SO4＋ 0.25M Na2SO4 aqueous solution, and the results show an extreme improvement of corrosion resistance owing to the appearance of twin boundaries and the obvious reduction in corrosion resistance attributed to the presence of nanocry.taline boundaries.

By.means of Gleeble-1500 testing machine, the simulation of continuous casting process forAH32 steel was carried out and hot ductility.and strength were determined. The cracking sensitivity.was studied under the different temperatures and strain rates. The Precipitations of AIN at different temperatures and the fractures of high-temperature tensile samples were observed by.using TEM （transmission electron microscope） and SEM （scanning electron microscope）. The factors affecting the brittle temperature zone were discussed.

Cell membrane coating for reducing nanoparticle-induced inflammatory.responses to scaffold constructs

The controlled release of therapeutics from microparticles or nanoparticles （NPs） has been well-studied. Incorporation of these particles inside biomaterial scaffolds is promising for tissue regeneration and immune modulation. However, these particles may.induce inflammatory.and foreign body.responses to scaffold constructs, limiting their applications. Here we show that widely.used poly.lactic-co-gly.olic acid） nanoparticles （PLGA NPs） formed by.double emulsion dramatically.increased neutrophil infiltration and pro-inflammatory.cy.okines in alginate scaffolds 1 day.after the subcutaneous injection of the scaffolds into mice. The coating of red blood cell （RBC） membranes on PLGA NPs completely.eliminated these short-term inflammatory.responses. For a longer term of 10 day., neither PLGA NPs nor RBC membrane-coated NPs exerted a significant effect on the infiltration of neutrophils or macrophages in alginate scaffolds, possibly.due to the degradation and/or clearance of NPs by.infiltrating cells. Despite the extensive exploration of cell membrane-coated NPs, our study.is the first to investigate the effects of cell membrane coating on foreign body.reaction to NPs. By.harnessing the natural biocompatibility.of cell membranes, our strategy.of anti-inflammatory.protection for scaffolds may.be pivotal for many.applications such as those rely.ng on the recruitment of stem cells and/or progenitor ceils to scaffolds.

Dy.amics and mechanisms of permethrin resistance in a field population of the horn fly. Haematobia irritans irritans

A study.was conducted at the Pressler ranch, near Kerrville, Texas, USA between 2002 and 2006 to determine the dy.amics and mechanisms of resistance to permethrin in a field population of the horn fly. Haematobia irritans irritans （L.）. Changes of resistance to py.ethroid insecticide associated with use of a pour-on formulation of cy.luthrin in 2002 and use of diazinon ear tags in subsequent y.ars were studied using a filter paper bioassay.technique and a poly.erase chain reaction assay.that detects two sodium channel mutations, kdr and super-kdr resistance alleles. A maximum of 294-fold resistance to permethrin was observed in the summer of 2002. A significant decrease in the resistance level was observed in spring 2003, and resistance continued to decline after animals were treated with diazinon ear tags. In response to py.ethroid treatments, the allelic kdr and super-kdr frequency.increased from 56.3% to 93.8% and from 7.5% to 43.8%, respectively.in 2002, and decreased significantly.in 2003 when the py.ethroid insecticide was no longer used to treat animals. Females were found to have a higher allelic super-kdr frequency.than males in 2002, while no difference was detected between males and females in the allelic kdr frequency. There was a significant positive correlation between frequencies of the sodium channel mutations and levels ofpermethrin resistance, suggesting that the sodium channel mutations, kdr and super-kdr, are the major mechanisms of resistance to py.ethroids in this horn fly.population. Results of sy.ergist bioassay. also indicated possible contributions of two metabolic detoxification mechanisms, the mixed function oxidases （MFO） and glutathione S-trans- ferases （GST）. Compared to a horn fly.infestation of an untreated herd, treatments with the py.ethroid pour-on formulation failed to control horn flies at the Pressler ranch in 2002. Sustained control of horn flies was achieved with the use of diazinon ear tags in 2003 and subsequent y.ars.

Validation of Growth and Nutrient Uptake Models for Tomato on a Gravelly.South Florida Soil Under Greenhouse Conditions

The Soil and Water Assessment Tool(SWAT) has been widely.used throughout the world to model crop growth and nutrient uptake in various ty.es of soils.A greenhouse experiment was performed to validate the process equations embedded in SWAT for describing the growth and nutrient uptake of tomatoes in south *** scaled growth curve of greenhouse-grown tomatoes was in close agreement with the theoretical model for field conditions,with the scaling factors being the maximum canopy.height and the potential heat ***,the scaled leaf area index(LAI) growth curve and the scaled root depth curve for greenhousegrown tomatoes agreed with the SWAT functions,with the scaling factors being the maximum LAI and maximum root *** greenhouse experiment confirmed that the growth of biomass is a linear function of the intercepted photosy.thetically.active *** fractions of nutrients in the plant biomass under greenhouse conditions were found to be on the order of 60% of those fractions observed in the *** of the initial P distribution(0.2 mg kg -1),initial ratio of mineral stable P to mineral active P(50:1),and initial ratio of humic N to humic P(2.4:1) were determined from soil measurements and can be used for field *** conventional saturation-excess model for soil-water percolation was used to predict the movement of water in the top 10 cm of the greenhouse containers and the results agreed well with measurements.

Nonlinear mechanics of a ring structure subjected to multi-pairs of evenly.distributed equal radial forces

Combining the elastica theory. finite element (FE) analy.is, and a geometrical topological experiment, we studied the mechanical behavior of a ring subjected to multi-pairs of evenly.distributed equal radial forces by.looking at its seven distinct states. The results showed that the theoretical predictions of the ring deformation and strain energy.matched the FE results very.well, and that the ring deformations were comparable to the topological experiment. Moreover, no matter whether the ring was compressed or tensioned by.N-pairs of forces, the ring alway. tended to be regular poly.ons with 2N sides as the force increased, and a proper compressive force deformed the ring into exquisite flower-like patterns. The present study.solves a basic mechanical problem of a ring subjected to lateral forces, which can be useful for study.ng the relevant mechanical behavior of ring structures from the nano- to the macro-scale.

Improvement of shape, memory.effect (SME) in Fe-Mn-Si based alloy. has been investigated, compared with that by.conventional 'training' treatment. It is found that SME in Fe-Mn-Si alloy.can be greatly.improved by.ausforming and 3.8%recovery.strain and 2.2% complete recovery.strain can be reached by.ausforming at 973 K when dy.amic recry.tallization has just occurred. The mechanism for the improvement of SME is proposed.

Two-dimensional （2D） materials generally.have unusual confined electro-strong interaction in a plane and can phy.ical and chemical properties owing to the exhibit obvious anisotropy.and a significant quantum-confinement effect, thus showing great promise in many.fields. Some 2D materials, such as graphene and MXenes, have recently.exhibited extraordinary.electromagnetic-wave shielding and absorbing performance, which is attributed to their special electrical behavior, large specific surface area, and low mass density. Compared with traditional microwave attenuating materials, 2D materials have several obvious inherent advantages. First, similar to other nanomaterials, 2D materials have a very.large specific surface area and can provide numerous interfaces for the enhanced interfacial polarization as well as the reflection and scattering of electromagnetic waves. Second, 2D materials have a particular 2D morphology.with ultrasmall thickness, which is not only.beneficial for the penetration and dissipation of electromagnetic waves through the 2D nanosheets, giving rise to multiple reflections and the dissipation of electromagnetic energy. but is also conducive to the design and fabrication of various well-defined structures, such as lay.r-by.lay.r assemblies, core-shell particles, and porous foam, for broadband attenuation of electromagnetic waves. Third, owing to their good processability. 2D materials can be integrated into various multifunctional composites for multimode attenuation of electromagnetic energy. In addition to behaving as microwave reflectors and absorbers, 2D materials can act as impedance regulators and provide structural support for good impedance matching and setup of the optimal structure. Numerous studies indicate that 2D materials are among the most promising microwave attenuation materials.
