Stable water isotopes are natural tracers quantify.ng the contribution of moisture recy.ling to local precipitation,i.e.,the moisture recy.ling ratio,but various isotope-based models usually.lead to different results,which affects the accuracy.of local moisture *** this study.a total of 18 stations from four ty.ical areas in China were selected to compare the performance of isotope-based linear and Bay.sian mixing models and to determine local moisture recy.ling *** the three vapor sources including advection,transpiration,and surface evaporation,the advection vapor usually.play.d a dominant role,and the contribution of surface evaporation was less than that of *** the abnormal values were ignored,the arithmetic averages of differences between isotope-based linear and the Bay.sian mixing models were 0.9%for transpiration,0.2%for surface evaporation,and–1.1%for advection,respectively.and the medians were 0.5%,0.2%,and–0.8%,*** importance of transpiration was slightly.less for most cases when the Bay.sian mixing model was applied,and the contribution of advection was relatively.*** Bay.sian mixing model was found to perform better in determining an efficient solution since linear model sometimes resulted in negative contribution *** test with two isotope scenarios indicated that the Bay.sian model had a relatively.low sensitivity.to the changes in isotope input,and it was important to accurately.estimate the isotopes in precipitation ***,the Bay.sian mixing model should be recommended instead of a linear *** findings are useful for understanding the performance of isotope-based linear and Bay.sian mixing models under various climate backgrounds.

Magnesium alloy.is attractive for lightweight construction but often suffers from poor corrosion resistance and low *** processing with chemicals,i.e.,multifunction cavitation(MFC),was introduced to form a high-corrosion film and improve the fatigue properties of an AZ31 magnesium *** analy.is and plane bending fatigue tests were conducted for the MFC-treated magnesium alloy.at a stress ratio,R,*** mechanical action of cavitation bubbles improved the fatigue life of magnesium alloy. due to increasing the surface hardness and generating compressive residual ***,the combined mechanical and electrochemical action during MFC formed pits on the *** pits were large enough to easily.nucleate an initial fatigue *** addition,the magnesium alloy. without pit formation,for which a coating process using phosphoric acid was conducted after MFC using water,showed superior fatigue properties.

Macrophages are one of the most abundant leukocy.e populations infiltrating tumor tissues and can exhibit both tumoricidal and tumor-promoting *** 1989,we reported the purification of monocy.e chemoattractant protein-1(MCP-1)from culture supernatants of mitogen-activated peripheral blood mononuclear cells and tumor ***-1 is a potent monocy.e-attracting chemokine,identical to the previously.described ly.phocy.e-derived chemotactic factor or tumor-derived chemotactic factor,and greatly.contributes to the recruitment of blood monocy.es into sites of inflammatory.responses and *** in vitro-cultured tumor cells often produce significant amounts of MCP-1,tumor cells are considered to be the main source of ***,various nontumor cells in the tumor stroma also produce MCP-1 in response to *** performed in vitro and in vivo have provided evidence that MCP-1 production in tumors is a consequence of complex interactions between tumor cells and non-tumor cells and that both tumor cells and non-tumor cells contribute to the production of *** MCP-1 production was once considered to be a part of host defense against tumors,it is now believed to regulate the vicious cy.le between tumor cells and macrophages that promotes the progression of tumors.

Nutritional Evaluation by.Nurses and Phy.ical Recovery.of Malnourished Patients after Esophagectomy

Following an esophagectomy. nurses’ patient nutrition observations are important for phy.ical recovery.and quality.of life. The study.proposed to identify.the factors associated with phy.ical recovery.among esophageal cancer patients after surgery.based on nurses’ observations and nutritional evaluations. Data were collected from the nursing records of 21 esophagectomy.patients. The data included patients’ rate of weight loss, body.mass index (BMI), energy.intake, and postoperative complications. Patients were divided into two groups according to their weight loss rate: y.between the two groups. There was no difference in albumin levels during hospitalization;however, after esophagectomy. energy.intake at discharge was insufficient in both groups. The ≥8% weight loss may.be facilitated, or at least confounded, by.the presence of recurrent nerve paraly.is and aspiration pneumonia. Thus, the nursing records ty.ically.identified the need to check for recurrent lary.geal nerve palsy.and aspiration pneumonia in conjunction with nutritional assessment to enhance patients’ phy.ical recovery. When weight loss was significant, nurses provided oral intake support with the NST, and patients maintained oral intake levels similar to the group with weight loss under 8%. In order to better support phy.ical recovery.among malnourished, post esophagectomy.patients, nurses need to monitor for signs of recurrent nerve palsy.and aspiration pneumonia in addition to nutritional intake.
