Background: Phy.ical inactivity.is a major public health problem w.rldw.de that results in phy.ical and mental health problems. One major issue for phy.ical inactivity.is w.ight stigma (w.), especially.perceived w., w.ich could lead to a tendency.to avoid phy.ical activity.(PA). To better understand the association betw.en perceived w. and PA, know.edge of the likely.mediators in this association such as w.ight bias internalization (w.I) and psy.hological distress w.re investigated in the present study. Methods: Using a tw.-w.ve longitudinal study.and convenient sampling, 388 Taiw.nese participants (55% females; mean age = 29.7 y.ars [SD ± 6.3]) completed tw. survey. six months apart. Body.mass index (BMI), Perceived w.ight Stigma Scale (Pw.S), w.ight Bias Internalization Scale (w.IS), Depression, Anxiety. Stress Scale (DASS-21), and Tendency.to Avoid Phy.ical Activity.and Sport Scale (TAPAS) w.re assessed. Results: A mediation model controlling for age, gender, and BMI w.th 5000 bootstrapping resamples w.s performed. Perceived w. exerted significant direct effects on w.I (β = 0.25; p y.hological distress (β = 0.15; p = 0.003), and tendency.to avoid PA (β =0.10;p = 0.027); w.I exerted a significant direct effect on tendency.to avoid PA (β = 0.47; p w.I and psy.hological distress on the association betw.en perceived w. and tendency.to avoid PA w.re 0.12 and 0.01, respectively. Conclusion: Given the direct association of perceived w. on the tendency.to avoid PA and the mediating role of w.I in this association, interventions addressing perceived w. and w.I may.contribute to promoting PA. Therefore, health interventionists (both w.en planning and executing PA programs) need to consider w.ight stigmaw.en encouraging phy.ical activity. © 2024 The Authors.

In this study. w. explore the application of ACP (asy.ptotic curve based and proportionality.oriented) Alpha Beta (αβ) Nonlinear Math to analy.e arithmetic and radiation transmission data. Specifically. w. investigate the relationship betw.en tw. variables. The novel approach involves collecting elementary.“y. data and subsequently.analy.ing the asy.ptotic cumulative or demulative (opposite of cumulative) y.data. In part I, w. examine the connection betw.en the common linear numbers and ideal nonlinear numbers. In part II, w. delve into the relationship betw.en X-ray.energy.and the radiation transmission for various thin film materials. The fundamental phy.ical law.asserts that the nonlinear change in continuous variable y.is negatively.proportional to the nonlinear change in continuous variable X, expressed mathematically.as dα = −Kdβ. Here: dα {y. y., y.} represents the change in y. w.th y. and y. denoting the upper and baseline asy.ptote of y. dβ {X, Xu, Xb} represents the change in X, w.th Xu and Xb denoting the upper and baseline asy.ptote of X. K represents the proportionality.constant or rate constant, w.ich varies based on equation arrangement. K is the key.inferential factor for describing phy.ical phenomena.

The γ-ray.emission from the w.1 complex is w.dely.acknow.edged to be attributed to the interaction betw.en the cosmic ray. (CRs) accelerated by.the shock of supernova remnant (SNR) w.1C and the dense molecular clouds in the adjacent star-forming region, w.1B. How.ver, the maximum acceleration capability.of w.1C for CRs remains elusive. Based on observations conducted w.th the Large High Altitude Air Show.r Observatory.(LHAASO), w. report a significant detection of γ ray. emanating from the w.1 complex, w.th energies from 2 to 200 TeV. The LHAASO measurements, for the first time, extend the γ-ray.emission from the w.1 complex bey.nd 100 TeV and reveal a significant spectrum bending at tens of TeV. By.combining the "π0-decay.bump" featured data from Fermi-LAT, the broadband γ-ray.spectrum of the w.1 region can be w.ll-characterized by.a simple pp-collision model. The observed spectral bending feature suggests an exponential cutoff at ∼400 TeV or a pow.r-law.break at ∼200 TeV in the CR proton spectrum, most likely.providing the first evidence of SNRs serving as CR accelerators approaching the PeV regime. Additionally. tw. y.ung star clusters w.thin w.1B could also be theoretically.viable to produce the most energetic γ ray. observed by.LHAASO. Our findings strongly.support the presence of extreme CR accelerators w.thin the w.1 complex and provide new.insights into the origin of Galactic CRs. © 2024 Science China Press

A novel photo-cataly.ic sy.tem composed of N-doped biochars(NBCs),MnFe_(2)O_(4) and sulfite activation under ultraviolet(NBCs/MnFe_(2)O_(4)/sulfite/UV)w.s constructed to realize the efficient eliminate of tetracy.line(TC).As the carrier of MnFe_(2)O_(4),NBCs w.re sy.thesized from alfalfa,w.ich has large specific surface area,graphite like structure and hierarchical porous *** adsorption isotherm indicated that NBCs/MnFe_(2)O_(4)-2:1 had the best adsorption performance for TC(347.56 mg g^(-1)).Through sy.ergistic adsorption and photocataly.is,the removal rate of TC reached 84%,w.ich w.s significantly.higher than that of MnFe_(2)O_(4).Electrochemical impedance spectroscopy.EIS)and Photoluminescence(PL)characterization results show.d that the introduction of NBCs improved the separation efficiency.of photogenerated electron and hole pairs and enhanced the photocataly.ic ***,the adsorption,degradation mechanism and degradation path of TC by.the cataly.t w.re sy.tematically.analy.ed by.coupling HPLC–MS measurement w.th the theoretical *** the advantages of excellent degradation performance,low.cost,easy.separation and environmental friendliness of NBCs/MnFe_(2)O_(4),this w.rk w.s expected to provide a new.path for the practical application of biochar.
