Background： The reported mortality.rate of mus.room-induced acute liver failure with conventionaltreatment is.1.4%–16.9%. Emergency.liver trans.lantation may.be indicated and can be the only.curativetreatment option. This.s.udy.aimed to as.es. the prognos.ic value of criteria for emergency.livertrans.lantation in predicting 28-day.mortality.in patients.with mus.room-induced acute liver ***： A retros.ective cohort s.udy.was.performed between January.2005 and December 2015. Alladult patients.aged≥18 y.ars.admitted with mus.room intoxication at our emergency.department wereevaluated. All patients.with acute liver injury. defined as.elevation of s.rum liver enzy.es.（〉5 times.he upper limit of normal, ULN） or moderate coagulopathy.（INR 〉 2.0） were included. The ability.of the King’s.College, Ganzert’s. and Es.udié’s.criteria to predict 28-day.mortality.was.evaluated.

Objective: In this.pilot s.udy. given the prevalence of hy.ertens.on and panic dis.rder as.des.ribed in the literature, we propos.d to fill the gaps.in the literature on the pos.ible utility.of s.RI medication as.an adjunct treatment in individuals.with panic dis.rder and hy.ertens.on. Methods. We planned to only.recruit patients.with panic dis.rder who fit the criteria independently.for treatment with s.RI;i.e. treatment would be given bas.d on clinical need and currently.accepted Pharmaceutical Benefits.s.heme (PBs. criteria. Thereafter, we would monitor their BP at bas.line, 14 day. and 28 day. to determine if there has.been an effect on the individual’s.BP. Res.lts. Bas.d on the obs.rvation above, there may.be a trend of a reduction in s.0}tolic and dias.olic BP after the commencement of s.rtraline. Conclus.on: In order to confirm this.obs.rvation, a larger s.mple s.ze is.required in the future. This.pilot s.udy.propos.d to meet the objectives.as.lis.ed below;however due to difficulty.with recruitment, only.2 out of 4 participants.will be dis.us.ed in the analy.is.

Four ty.es.of wave to runup trans.tion proces.es.were examined by.us.ng a high s.eed video camera capable of capturing 490 frames.per *** pres.nt inves.igation was.s.t out to capture the mis.ing details.reported in previous.s.udy.us.ng only.30 frames.per s.cond recording *** examining the wave to runup trans.tion proces.es.of different incoming waves.with offs.ore Froude number ranging from 1.08 to 1.49,it was.found that the main features.of the four ty.es.of trans.tion proces. were cons.s.ent to thos. des.ribed in [1].The non-overturning proces. of the upper part of the wave front occurring in the collaps.ng ty.e was.*** water indeed s.ot out from the bottom to initiate the runup proces. on the dry.***,obs.rvations.in the pres.nt s.udy.als. s.gges.ed that there could be an in-between trans.tion mode exis.ing between the plunging ty.e and collaps.ng ty.e;*** upper part of the wave front may.overturn onto the s.otout wave toe before touching the dry.*** res.arch is.recommended.

This.s.udy.aimed to inves.igate the as.ociation between atrophy.in the prefrontal cortex with executive function and verbal fluency.in elderly.male and female patients.pos.s.roke. Thirty.elderly.female patients.with non-aphas.c is.hemic s.roke aged -〉 60 y.ars.and 30 age-matched non-aphas.c male patients.with is.hemic s.roke were recruited. Automatic magnetic res.nance imaging s.gmentation was.us.d to as.es. the volume of the whole prefrontal cortex, along with its.s.bdivis.ons. anterior cingulate cortex, orbitofrontal cortex and dors.lateral prefrontal cortex. The s.mantic Verbal Fluency.Tes. was.adminis.ered at 3 and 15 months.pos.s.roke. At 3 months.pos.s.roke, left dors.lateral prefrontal cortex volume was.s.gnificantly.correlated with Verbal Fluency.Tes. s.ore in female patients.only.（partial coefficient = 0.453, P = 0.045）, after controlling for age, education, diabetes. neurological deficit, white matter les.ons.volume, as.well as.the location and volume of infarcts. At 15 months.pos.s.roke, there remained a s.gnificant as.ociation between the left dors.lateral prefrontal cortex volume and Verbal Fluency.Tes. （partial coefficient = 0.661, P = 0.001） and between the left prefrontal cortex volume and Verbal Fluency.Tes. （partial coefficient = 0.573, P = 0.004） in female patients.after the s.me adjus.ments. Thes. findings.indicate that atrophy.of the left dors.lateral prefrontal cortex contributes.to the impairment of verbal fluency.in elderly.female patients.with s.roke. s.x differences.may.be pres.nt in the neurops.0}hological mechanis.s.of verbal fluency.impairment in patients.with s.roke.
