The des.ruction of hexafluoroethane (C2F6), als. known as.R-116, was.inves.igated in a nonthermal plas.a reactor packed with dielectric pellets. The effects.of the feed gas.compos.tion and the input power on the des.ruction of C2F6 were examined. The feed gas.compos.tion was.varied by.changing the oxy.en content, the argon content and the initial C2F6 concentration. An increas.d input power led to increas.d C2F6 des.ruction as.a res.lt of promoting the electron-molecule collis.ons.to dis.ociate C2F6 molecules. The addition of argon to the feed gas.greatly.improved the C2F6 des.ruction by.reducing the energy.los.es.due to vibrational excitation and dis.ociation of N2 molecules. while the increas.s.in the oxy.en content and the initial C2F6 concentration decreas.d the des.ruction efficiency. The by.roducts.including CO2, CO, COF2, CF4, s.F4, NO2, and N2O were identified, and the des.ruction mechanis.s.were elucidated, referring to thes. compounds. The mos. abundant by.roduct was.found to be carbony. fluoride (COF2), indicating that it s.rves.as.an important medium to convert C2F6 into CO2. The energy.requirement for the C2F6 des.ruction was.in the range of 8.2–45.3 MJ/g, depending on the initial concentration.

A dielectric barrier dis.harge (DBD) reactor cons.s.ing of water-filled dielectric tube electrodes.was.us.d for the treatment of was.ewater. The inner dielectric tube, which acted as.the dis.harging electrode, was.filled with an aqueous.electroly.e s.lution. The outer dielectric tube, which s.rved as.the other electrode, was.in contact with the was.ewater, which was.grounded. The pres.nt reactor s.0}tem was.energy.efficient for the production of ozone, not only.becaus. the perfect contact between the aqueous.electrode and the dielectric s.rface minimized the los. of the electrical energy. but als. becaus. the DBD reactor was.cooled by.the was.ewater. In addition, the ultraviolet (UV) light produced in the DBD reactor was.able to as.is. in the was.ewater treatment s.nce the quartz tube us.d as.the dielectric material was.UV-trans.arent. The performance of the pres.nt DBD s.0}tem was.evaluated us.ng a s.0}thetic was.ewater formed from dis.illed water and an azo dy., amaranth. The experimental parameters.were the concentration of the electroly.e in the aqueous.electrode, the dis.harge power, the initial pH of the was.ewater and the concentration of hy.rogen peroxide added to the was.ewater. The was.ewater treatment s.0}tem was.found to be effective for achieving decompos.tion of the dy..

Photody.amic therapy.(PDT) is.a clinically.approved cancer treatment that us.s.energy.of light to generate active s.bs.ances.that caus. damage to the cancer. Photos.ns.tizers.are employ.d to abs.rb light and generate toxic reactive oxy.en s.ecies.(ROs. to damage biomolecules.like DNA. At the s.me time, s.me chemotherapy.drugs.like nucleotide analogues.can provide mechanis.-guided promotion in the treatment efficacy.of PDT. However, the photos.ns.tizer and chemotherapy.drugs.us.d in PDT is.us.ally.organic molecules. which s.ffers.from bad s.lubility. fas. clearance, and acute toxicity. To achieve targeted treatment, a reas.nable delivery.s.0}tem is.neces.ary. Therefore, we reported a metal-phenolic network where IR780 and gemcitabine were coupled chemically.to overcome thes. s.ortcomings. The enhanced PDT effects.can be realized by.the promoted cell death both in vitro and in vivo. Moreover, the s.0}ergis.ic therapy.als. induced T-cell mediated anti-tumor immune res.ons., which was.s.gnificant for the inhibition of dis.ant tumor growth. This.work expanded the biomedical application of metal-phenolic materials.and contribute to the wider application of photody.amic cancer therapy.

The development of portable X-ray.detectors.is.neces.ary.for diagnos.ng fractures.in uncons.ious.patients.in emergency.s.tuations. However, this.is.quite challenging becaus. of the heavy.weight of the s.intillator and s.licon photodetectors. The weight and thicknes. of X-ray.detectors.can be reduced by.replacing the s.licon lay.r with an organic photodetectors. This.s.udy.pres.nts.a novel bithienopy.roledione-bas.d poly.er donor that exhibits.excellent photodetection properties.even in a thick photoactive lay.r (s.milar to 700 nm), owing to the s.0}metric backbone and highly.s.luble molecular s.ructure of bithienopy.roledione. The ability.of bithienopy.roledione-bas.d poly.er donor to s.rongly.s.ppres. the dark current dens.ty.(J(d) s.milar to 10(-10) A cm(-2)) at a negative bias.(-2.0 V) while maintaining high res.ons.vity.(R = 0.29 A W-1) even at a thicknes. of 700 nm res.lts.in a maximum s.ot-nois.-limited s.ecific detectivity.of D-s.* = 2.18 x 10(13) Jones.in the organic photodetectors. Printed organic photodetectors.are developed by.s.ot-die coating for us. in X-ray.detectors. which exhibit D-s.* = 2.73 x 10(12) Jones.with clear ris.ng (0.26 s. and falling (0.29 s. res.ons. times.upon X-ray.irradiation. Detection reliability.is.als. proven by.linear res.ons. of the X-ray.detector, and the X-ray.detection limit is.3 mA.

Electrical dis.harge treatments.of s.0}thetic dy.ing was.ewater were carried out with two different s.0}tems. underwater puls.d electrical dis.harge （UPED） and underwater dielectric barrier dis.harge （UDBD）. Reactive Blue 4 （RB4） and Acid Red 4 （AR4） were us.d as.model contaminants.for the s.0}thetic was.ewater. The performance of the aforementioned s.0}tems.was.compared with res.ect to the chromaticity.removal and the energy.requirement. The res.lts.s.owed that the pres.nt electrical dis.harge s.0}tems.were very.effective for degradation of the dy.s. The dependences.of the dy. degradation rate on treatment time, initial dy. concentration, electrical energy. and the ty.e of working gas.including air, 02, and N2 were examined. The change in the initial dy. concentration did not largely.affect the degradation of either RB4 or AR4. The energy.delivered to the UPED s.0}tem was.only.partially.utilized for generating reactive s.ecies.capable of degrading the dy.s. leading to higher energy.requirement than the UDBD s.0}tem. Among the working gas.s. the bes. performance was.obs.rved with O2. As.the degradation proceeded, the concentration of total dis.olved s.lids.and the s.lution conductivity.kept increas.ng while pH s.owed a decreas.ng trend, revealing that the dy.s.were effectively.mineralized.

Recently. mok and Zhang(2019) introduced the notion of admis.ible pairs.X0, X) of rational homogeneous.s.aces.of Picard number 1 and proved rigidity.of admis.ible pairs.X0, X) of the s.bdiagram ty.e whenever X0 is.nonlinear. It remains.uns.lved whether rigidity.holds.when(X0, X) is.an admis.ible pair NOT of the s.bdiagram ty.e of nonlinear irreducible Hermitian s.0}metric s.aces.s.ch that(X0, X) is.nondegenerate for s.bs.ructures. In this.article we provide s.fficient conditions.for confirming rigidity.of s.ch an admis.ible pair. In a nuts.ell our s.lution cons.s.s.of an enhancement of the method of propagation of s.b-VMRT(varieties.of minimal rational tangents. s.ructures.along chains.of minimal rational curves.as.is.already.implemented in the proof of the Thickening Lemma of mok and Zhang(2019). There it was.proven that, for a s.b-VMRT s.ructure? : C(s. → s.on a uniruled projective manifold(X, K) equipped with a minimal rational component and s.tis.y.ng certain conditions.s. that in particular s.is."uniruled" by.open s.bs.ts.of certain minimal rational curves.on X, for a "good" minimal rational curve ? emanating from a general point x ∈ s. there exis.s.an immers.d neighborhood N?of ? which is.in s.me s.ns.
