In this paper, we present and discuss a an optical surface plasmon resonance （SPR） path to extend the enhancement of the resolution of sensor. Basically. our approach is to combine bi-metamaterial lay.rs to design the SPR sensor. The calculation shows that the proposed SPR sensor structure has a preference over the conventional SPR sensors and bimetallic SPR sensors since it gives a much sharper reflectance dip and can achieve considerable sensitivity.improvement when compared to the recently.reported investigations. The effects of the metamaterial permittivity. permeability. and thick.ess on the reflectance curve are studied. It is also seen that metamaterial lay.rs improve the field of the proposed SPR structure, which may.provide a novel tool to significantly.enhance the sensitivity.and resolution of the sensors.

Present work.investigates the heat transfer and melting behaviour of phase change material(PCM) in six enclosures(enclosure-1 to 6) filled with paraffin *** enclosures are equipped with distinct arrangements of the fins while k.eping the fin's surface area equal in each *** analy.is has been presented to recognize the suitable fin arrangements that facilitate improved heat transfer and melting rate of the *** wall of the enclosure is maintained isothermal for the temperature values 335 k.350 k.and 365 *** length of the enclosure including fins is ranging between 0 and *** have been illustrated through the estimation of important performance parameters such as energy.absorbing capacity.melting rate,enhancement ratio,and Nusselt *** has been found that melting time(to melt 100% of the PCM) is 60.5%less in enclosure-2(with two fins of equal length) as compared to the enclosure-1,having no *** the fin surface area equal,if the longer fin is placed below the shorter fin(enclosure-3),melting time is further decreased by.14.1% as compared to ***,among all the configurations,enclosure-6 with wire-mesh fin structure exhibits minimum melting time which is 68.4% less as compared to the *** on the findings,it may.be concluded that fins are the main driving agent in the enclosure to transfer the heat from heated wall to the *** design and positioning of the fins improve the heat transfer rate followed by.melting of the PCM in the entire area of the *** of the favourable vortices and natural convection current in the enclosure accelerate the melting phenomenon and help to reduce charging time.

Dry.wear experiments provide an insight detail on how severely.contacting surfaces change under unlubricated sliding condition. The theory.of dry.sliding wear is used for understanding mixed-lubrication regime in which asperity.interactions play.a significant role in controlling of the friction coefficient(f). The purpose of this work.is to study.the tribological behavior of AISI 304 steel in contact with AISI 52100 steel during wear. Both materials are used in rolling element bearings commanly. Experiments are carried out using a pin-on-disc tribometer under dry.friction condition. The areal(three dimensional, 3D) topography.parameters are measured using a 3D white light interferometer(WLI) with a 10× objective. After wear tests, wear mechanisms are analy.ed utilizing scanning electron microscope(SEM). Factorial design with custom response surface design(C-RSD) is used to study.the mutual effect of load and speed on response variables such as f and topography.parameters. It is observed that the root mean square roughness(S_(q)) decreases with an increase in sliding time. Within the range of sliding time, S_(q) decreases with an increase in the normal load. Within the range of sliding speed and normal load, it is found that S_(q), mean summit curvature(S_(sc)), and root mean square slope(S_(dq)) are positively.correlated with f. Whereas, negative correlation is found between f and correlation length(Sal), mean summit radius(R), and core roughness depth(S_(k.).

Since lithium-ion batteries(LIBs) have been substantially.researched in recent y.ars, they.now possess exceptional energy.and power densities, mak.ng them the most suited energy.storage technology.for use in developed and developing industries lik. stationary.storage and electric cars, etc. Concerns about the cost and availability.of lithium have prompted research into alternatives, such as sodium-ion batteries(SIBs), which use sodium instead of lithium as the charge carrier. This is especially.relevant for stationary.applications, where the size and weight of battery.are less important. The work.ng efficiency.and capacity.of these batteries are mainly.dependent on the anode, cathode, and electroly.e. The anode,which is one of these components, is by.far the most important part of the rechargeable *** of its characteristics and its structure, the anode has a tremendous impact on the overall performance of the battery.as a whole. k.eping the above in view, in this review we critically.reviewed the different ty.es of anodes and their performances studied to date in LIBs and SIBs. The review article is divided into three main sections, namely.(i) intercalation reaction-based anode materials;(ii) alloy.ng reaction-based anode materials;and(iii) conversion reaction-based anode materials, which are further classified into a number of subsections based on the ty.e of material used. In each main section, we have discussed the merits and challenges faced by.their particular sy.tem. Afterward, a brief summary.of the review has been discussed. Finally. the road ahead for better application of Li/Na-ion batteries is discussed, which seems to mainly.depend on exploring the innovative materials as anode and on the inoperando characterization of the existing materials for mak.ng them more capable in terms of application in rechargeable batteries.

Most of the search-based software remodularization(SBSR)approaches designed to address the software remodularization problem(SRP)areutilizing only.structural information-based coupling and cohesion quality.***,in practice apart from these quality.criteria,there require other aspects of coupling and cohesion quality.criteria such as lexical and changed-history.in designing the modules of the software ***,consideration of limited aspects of software information in the SBSR may.generate a sub-optimal modularization ***,such modularization can be good from the quality.metrics perspective but may.not be acceptable to the *** produce a remodularization solution acceptable from both quality.metrics and developers’perspectives,this paper exploited more dimensions of software information to define the quality.criteria as modularization ***,these objectives are simultaneously.optimized using a tailored many.bjective artificial bee colony.MaABC)to produce a remodularization *** assess the effectiveness of the proposed approach,we applied it over five software *** obtained remodularization solutions are evaluated with the software quality.metrics and developers view of *** demonstrate that the proposed software remodularization is an effective approach for generating good quality.modularization solutions.
