The paper includes discussions on the important role of neutron and alpha configurations in proton-rich nuclei in nuclear astrophy.ics in terms of nucleosy.thesis under extremely.high-temperature hy.rogenburning conditions. The νp-process, which is supposed to tak. place at the very.early.epoch of ty.e II supernovae, has considerable neutrons and alphas together with protons. The alpha-induced reactions on proton-rich unstable nuclei in the light mass regions is expected to play.a crucial role, but very.few of them were investigated well y.t because of the experimental difficulties. Specifically. I report our recent experimental effort for the break.ut process from the pp-chain region,~7Be(α, γ)^(11)C(α,p)^(14)N under the νp-process. The neutron-induced reactions on proton-rich nuclei, which is even more a challenging subject, were investigated previously.for very.few nuclei. One possible experimental method is the Trojan Horse Method(THM). We successfully.have applied THM to the ^(18)F(n,α)^(14)N reaction study.with an unstable beam of ^(18)F.

Sodium implanted titanium films with different ion doses were characterized to correlate their ion implantation parameters. Native titanium films and ion implanted titanium films were characterized with combined techniques of X-ray.photoelectron spectroscopy.（XPS）, atomic force microscopy.（AFM）, and light microscopy.（LM）. The surface presented increased sodium concentration on treated titanium films with ion dose increasing, except for the group with the highest ion dose of 4×10^17ions/cm^2. XPS depth profiling display.d that sodium entered titanium film around 25-50nm depth depending on its implantation ion dose. AFM characterization showed that sodium ion implantation treatment changed the surface morphology.from a relatively.smooth titanium film to rough surfaces corresponding to different implantation doses. After sodium implantation, implanted titanium films presented big particles with island structure morphology. The surface morphology.and particle growth display.d the corresponding trend. Fibrinogen adsorption on these titanium films was performed to correlate with the surface properties of treated titanium films. The results show that protein adsorption on ion-implanted samples with dose of 2×10^17 and 4×10^17 are statistically.higher （p 〈0.01） than samples treated with dose of 5×10^16 and 1×10^17, as well as the control samples.

In the past two decades, organic solar cells （OSCs） have at- tracted significant attention owing to their merits of achieving light-weight, flexible, low-cost devices [1,2]. Ternary.OSC as an efficient way.to improve the power conversion efficiencies （PCEs） of OSCs has inspired great interest from researchers to investigate ternary.OSCs and result in many.efficient de- vices. Ternary.OSCs allow collecting high- and low-energy.photons by.separated semiconductors in a single active lay.r to minimize the thermalization loss and broaden absorption range to improve the performance of OSCs. However, most reported ternary.OSCs only.have active lay.r of about 100 nm in thick.ess.

The coupled-channel optical method is used to study.positron scattering by.atomic lithium at energies ranging from the ionization threshold to 60eV, The present method simultaneously.treats the target channels and the positronium （Ps） channels in the coupled-channel method together with the continuum effects via an ab-initio optical potential. Ionization, elastic and inelastic cross sections in target channels, and the total cross section are also reported and compared with other theoretical and experimental data. A comparative study.with the corresponding electron-lithium data is also reported.

To clarify.the influences of the tip clearance flows on the unsteady.cavitating flow, the three-dimensional unsteady.cavitating flows through both the two-dimensional cascades and the three-dimensional inducer with and without tip clearance are performed numerically. The governing equations for the compressible fluid flow with the DES turbulence model are employ.d with the assumption of the isentropic process of liquid phase. The evolution of cavities is represented as the source/sink.of vapor phase. The basic equations in the curve linear coordinate are solved by.the finite difference method. As the results of the three-dimensional cavitating flows through the two-dimensional cascades, the tip clearance flows from the pressure side to the suction side of the blade produces the tip vortex cavitation, which affects the sheet cavitation on the leading edge of the next blade and enhances the block.ge effect near the casing than the flows without tip clearance. On the other hand, in the case of the three-dimensional inducer, the large back.low cavitation is observed around the inlet of the inducer, where the cavities are developed on the casing by.the tip clearance flows. The large pressure gradient between the non-cavitating pressure side and the cavitating suction side enhances the tip clearance flows. The calculation considering the tip clearance reproduces the developed cavitation region similar to that of experimental visualizations. Additionally. the back.low cavitation rotates with the speed slower than the rotation speed of the inducer. Then, the rotation of back.low cavitation causes the periodic fluctuation of the outlet pressure greater than that of the inlet pressure.

The Bik.ner-Nagaur and Barmer Basins(Rajasthan)are the most important petroliferous sedimentary.basins in *** over a decade,the exploration and extraction of hy.rocarbons in these ***-Eocene age rock. bear organic-rich sediments in these basins,including lignite and carbonaceous shale *** present research investigates the source rock.properties,petroleum potential and thermal maturity.of the carbonaceous shale partings from the lignite mines of Gurha(Bik.ner-Nagaur Basin)and k.purdi(Barmer Basin)using petrographical and geochemical *** carbonaceous shales have high organic matter(OM),with considerable total organic carbon(TOC)contents ranging from 13%to 39%.Furthermore,they.contain hy.rogen-rich k.rogen,including ty.es II and II/III,as evidenced by.the Rock.Eval and elemental analy.is *** existence of these k.rogen ty.es indicates the abundance of reactive(vitrinite and liptinite)***,the carbonaceous shales from the Bik.ner–Nagaur Basin have oil generation potentials,with a high hy.rogen index(up to 516 mg HC/g TOC)and a H/C ratio(up to 1.5)along with a significant presence of oil-prone liptinitic *** from the geochemical and petrological results,the studied shales have low huminite reflectance(0.31%–0.48%),maximum temperature(S_(2) peak.Tmax)between 419℃ and 429℃,and low production index values(PI:0.01–0.03).These results indicate that these carbonaceous shales contain immature OM,and thereby.they.cannot y.t release commercial amount of *** immaturity.level in the studied outcrop section is due to the shallow burial *** proxies further indicate the presence of both oil and gas-prone source rock..

Laser-activated perfluorocarb on n anodroplets are an emerging class of phase-cha nge, dual-c ontrast age nts that can be utilized in ultraso und and photoacoustic imaging. Through the ability.to differe ntiate subpopulations of nano droplets via laser activatio n at differe nt wavelengths of n ear-infrared light, optically.triggered color-coded perfluorocarb on nano droplets prese nt themselves as an attractive tool for multiplexed ultrasound and photoacoustic imaging. In particular, laser-activated droplets can be used to provide quantitative spatiotemporal information regarding distinct biological targets, allowing for their potential use in a wide range of diagnostic and therapeutic applications. In the work.prese nted, laser-activated color-coded perfluorocarb on nan odroplets are sy. thesized to selectively.resp ond to laser irradiati on at corresp on ding wavele ngths. The dy. amic ultraso und and photoacoustic signals produced by.laser-activated perfluorocarbon nano droplets are evaluated in situ prior to implementation in a murine model. In vivo, these particles are used to distinguish unique particle traffick.ng mechanisms and are show n to provide ultraso und and photoacoustic contrast for up to 72 hours within ly.phatics. Overall, the con ducted studies show that laser-activated color-coded perfluorocarbo n nano droplets are a promising agent for multiplexed ultraso und and photoacoustic imaging.

Shallow water waves and a host of long wave phenomena are commonly.investigated by.various models of nonlinear evolution equations. Examples include the k.rteweg-de Vries, the Camassa-Holm, and the Whitham-Broer-k.up （WBk. equations. Here a generalized WBk.sy.tem is studied via the multi-linear variable separation approach. A special class of wave profiles with discontinuous derivatives （＂peak.ns＂） is developed. Peak.ns of various features, e.g. periodic, pulsating or fractal, are investigated and interactions of such entities are studied.
