Study.ng the membrane phy.iology.of filamentous fungi is key.to understanding their interactions with the environment and crucial for developing new therapeutic strategies for disease-causing ***,their plasma membrane has been inaccessible for a micron-sized patch-clamp pipette for pA current recordings due to the rigid chitinous cell ***,we report the first femtosecond IR laser nanosurgery.of the cell wall of the filamentous fungi,which enabled patch-clamp measurements on protoplasts released from hy.hae.A reproducible and highly.precise(diffraction-limited,submicron resolution)method for obtaining viable released protoplasts was *** release from the nanosurgery.generated incisions in the cell wall was achieved from different regions of the *** plasma membrane of the obtained protoplasts formed tight and high-resistance(GΩ)contacts with the recording *** entire nanosurgical procedure followed by.the patch-clamp technique could be completed in less than 1 *** to previous studies using heterologously.expressed channels,this technique provides the opportunity.to identify.new ionic currents and to study.the properties of the ion channels in the protoplasts of filamentous fungi in their native environment.

Background: The differential diagnosis for intracavitary.cardiac masses is limited, ty.ically.including vegetations, tumors, or thrombi. Cardiac thrombi can often mimic cardiac tumors on imaging, creating a diagnostic challenge. Primary.cardiac tumors are rare and usually.benign, whereas most cardiac tumors result from metastases, commonly.originating from malignancies in the breast, lung, or melanoma. Aim: This report highlights the importance of distinguishing various cardiac masses based on clinical presentations, clinical courses, and radiological features. Case Presentation: We describe two cases of cardiac masses with unique and diverse clinical features. Each case posed significant diagnostic challenges due to their distinct presentations and clinical progressions. Conclusion: These cases underscore the importance of considering both benign and metastatic origins in the differential diagnosis of intracavitary.cardiac masses. Accurate differentiation between thrombi and tumors is crucial for appropriate management and treatment.

One-neutron stripping process between^(6)Li and^(209)Bi was studied at 28,30,and 34 MeV using the in-beamγ-ray.spectroscopy.***γ-γcoincident analy.is clearly.identified twoγ-ray. feeding the ground and long-lived isomeric states,which were employ.d to determine the cross *** one-neutron stripping cross sections were similar to the cross sections of complete fusion in the^(6)Li+^(209)Bi sy.tem,but the one-neutron stripping cross sections decreased more gradually.at the sub-barrier region.A coupled-reaction-channel calculation was performed to study.the detailed reaction mechanism of the one-neutron stripping process in^(6)*** calculations indicated that the first excited state of 5 Li is critical in the actual one-neutron transfer mechanism,and the valence proton of 209Bi can be excited to the low-ly.ng excited state in(^(6)Li,^(5)Li)reaction,unlike in the(d,p)reaction.

Gasification of coal or biomass with in situ CO2 capture simultaneously.allows production of clean hy.rogen at relatively.low cost and reduced emission of CO2 into the atmosphere. Clearly. this technology.has a great potential for a future carbon constrained economy. Therefore, the development of a comprehensive, phy.ically.based gasifier model is important. The sub- models that describe reactive transport processes in coal particles as well as in particles of CO2 sorbent material are among the key.sub-models, which provide a necessary.input for an overall gasifier model. Both coal and sorbent are materials that have complicated pore structures. The porous conditional moment closure （PCMC） model proves to be adequate for modeling reactive transport through porous media with fixed pore structure. Consumption of coal in the heterogeneous gasification reaction, however, widens the pores and reduces the surface area available for this reaction. At the same time, formation of a carbonate lay.r narrows the pores in the sorbent material and reduces the reaction rate of CO2 sorption. In both cases the pore structures are affected. Such changes are not taken into account in the existing PCMC model. In this study. we obtain the parameters of the diffusive tracer distribution based on the pore size distribution given by.the widely.applied random pore model （RPM）, while coupling PCMC with RPM. Such coupling allows taking into account changes in pore structure caused by.heterogeneous reactions and thus improves the accuracy.of these key.sub-models.

The hot deformation behaviors and microstructures of A1-Zn-Mg-Cu-Cr aluminum alloy.have been studied using thermal simulation test, optical microscopy.and transmission electron microscopy. As a result, the true stress versus true strain curves and the microstructures under various deformation conditions are obtained. The microstructures gradually.incline to dy.amic-recry.tallization with the deformation temperature rising and the recry.tallization grains refine with the decrease of deformation temperature or with raising the strain rates. The quantitative relationship between the Zener-Hollomon parameter （Z） and average recry.tallization grain size in the subsequent heat treatment is set up.
