A quantum statistical theory.of the superconductivity.in MgB2 is developed regarding it as a member of the graphite intercalation compound. The superconducting temperature Tc for MgB2, C8K ≡ KC8, CaC6, are 39 K, 0.6 K, 11.5 K, respectively. The differences arise from the lattice structures. In the plane perpendicular to the c-axis, B’s form a honey.omb lattice with the nearest neighbour distance while Mg’s form a base-hexagonal lattice with the nearest neighbour distance above and below the B-plane distanced by.. The more compact B-plane becomes superconducting due to the electron-phonon attraction. Starting with the generalized Bardeen- Cooper-Schrieffer (BCS) Hamiltonian and solving the generalized Cooper equation, we obtain a linear dispersion relation for moving Cooper pairs. The superconducting temperature Tc identified as the Bose-Einstein condensation temperature of the Cooper pairs in two dimensions is given by., where is the Cooper pair density. the Boltzmann constant. The lattices of KC8 and CaC6 are clearly.specified.

Negotiation is both an important topic in multi-agent sy.tems research and an important aspect of daily.life. Many.real-world negotiations are complex and involve multiple interdependent issues, therefore, there has been increasing interest in such negotiations. Existing nonlinear automated negotiation protocols have difficulty.in finding solutions when the number of issues and agents is large. In automated negotiations covering multiple independent issues, it is useful to separate out the issues and reach separate agreements on each in turn. In this paper, we propose an effective approach to automated negotiations based on recursive partitioning using an issue dendrogram. A mediator first finds partial agreements in each sub-space based on bids from the agents, then combines them to produce the final agreement. When it cannot find a solution, our proposed method recursively.decomposes the negotiation sub-problems using an issue dendrogram. In addition, it can improve the quality.of agreements by.considering previously.found partial consensuses. We also demonstrate experimentally.that our protocol generates higher-optimality.outcomes with greater scalability.than previous methods.

The effect of W on mechanical properties of 12% Cr-W-V-Nb heat resistant steel at high temperatures and room temperature is *** experimental results indicated that if the W content was about 2.2—3.0 wt-%,there was no obviously.change of *** strength, but impact toughness decreased with the rise of W *** the other hand,the increase of W content enhanced the short time stress rupture strength,but did not for the long time one. The increase of W have two effects on the precipitation behavior,promoting Laves formation of ty.e Fe_2W,increasing the precipitated phase amount and speeding up the coarsening pro- cess of precipitated phase at high *** effect of W on the mechanical properties is closely.associated with precipitation *** the rupture life is short,there has no enough time to coarsen the precipitated phases,so the increase of precipitated phases results in strengthening effect,*** W increases the high temperature *** prolonged expo- sure,the evident coarsening took plaee,that decreased the effect of precipitation.

It has often been reported that, when building structures are subjected to near-fault earthquake ground motions, horizontal and vertical impulsive inputs may.cause critical damage during the first few seconds. In practical design of building structures, however, the safety.check, taking into account the effect of multi-component ground motions, is hardly.conducted except the design of important structures such as high-rise buildings and nuclear power plants. Ftirthel＇more, it is not clear how the correlation of multi-component ground motions influences the actual safety.of structures. In this paper, the detailed property.of critical excitation is discussed in association with the relationship between the characteristics of ground motions and those of structures. The properties of various auto power spectral density.（PSD） functions of the horizontal and vertical ground motions are investigated, and those of the critical cross PSD function of these two-directional ground motions are found by.a devised algorithm in a feasible complex plane. A closed-form expression is derived from the critical relation of the auto PSD functions of the simultaneous inputs. This critical excitation method provides us with a new approach for earthquake-resistant design against the possible future earthquake which causes the critical damages to buildings.

Acidithiobacillusferrooxidans ATCC23270 and Acidithiobacillus thiooxidans TM-32 were used for bioleaching of spent refractories of aluminium and copper melting furnaces for their recy.ling. Firstly. penetration of elements into ahiminium melting furnace refractory.was investigated and it was found that up to 7 cm from surface was contaminated. Comparison on leaching efficiency.by.the strains ATCC23270 and TM-32 found that the strain ATCC23270 could treat larger amount of the refractories than the strain TM-32 could do. In the experiment of bioleaching of spent refractory.alumiulum melting furnace by.the strain ATCC23270, high leaching efficiency.were obtained on A1, Si, and Ca, and extremely.low leaching performance was, however, shown on the rest of elements i.e., Na, Mn, and Zn. Under the strain TM-32 use, relatively.high leaching performance was recognized on A1, Si, Ca, Na, Mn, and Zn. In the experiment of bioleaching for spent refractory.copper melting furnace, almost the same leaching trends were shown on Cu, Zn, A1, and Si under the strains ACTT23270 and TM-32 uses.

For the geological disposal of high level radioactive wastes, an excavation damaged zone （EDZ） having high hy.raulic conductivity.resulting from the development of fractures in the rock adjacent to the tunnels will be one of the potential pathway. for radioactive contaminant transport. The potential pathway. will be sealed by.closure components, that is, a combination of tunnel plug, backfill and grout, the latter material being a clay.based mixture in consideration of the need for long-term stability.of the seals. Clay.based grout is one of the effective candidate materials that can be used to interrupt the migration of radionuclides through an EDZ. Laboratory.testing of clay.based grout using pulverized bentonite, with the objective of improvement in grout penetration into a rockmass, was conducted. The results showed that the pulverization of clay.based grout had a positive effect on filtration.

A new experimental regime has recently.been studied for achieving high fraction of the bootstrap current in the JT-60U hy.rogen *** high poloidal beta(βp~3.61)plasma was obtained by.high-power neutral beam injection heating at very.high edge safety.factor(Ip=0.3 MA,Bt=3.65 T,qeff=25-35)region,and the bootstrap current fraction(fBS)was about 40%using the ACCOME code *** was observed that there were no magnetohy.rody.amics instabilities to retard the increase ofβp and fBS parameters in the new regime.

Due to the rapid development of applications of artificial intelligence and robotics in recent y.ars, the necessity.of reasoning and decision making with uncertain and inaccurate information is increasing. Since robots in the real world are alway. exposed to behavioral inaccuracies and uncertainty.arising from recognition methods, they.may.occasionally.encounter contradictory.facts during reasoning on action decision. Paraconsistent logic programming is promising to make appropriate action decisions even when an agent is exposed to such uncertain information or contradictory.facts, but there has been no implementation of this programming to the best of our knowledge. We propose a resolution algorithm for the 3-valued paraconsistent logic programming sy.tem QMPT0 and its implementation on SWI-Prolog. We also describe an application of the 3-valued paraconsistent logic programming regarding agent decision making.
