Clipping and coiling are currently the two alternatives in treatment of ruptured cerebral aneurysms. In spite of some meritorious analysis, further discussion is helpful to understand the actual state of art. Retreatment and rebleeding rates clearly favors clipping, although short-term functional outcome seems to be beneficial for clipping, while this different is not such if we perform the comparison at a longer follow up. Longterm follow ups and cost analysis are mandatory to have a clear view of the current picture in treatment of subarachnoid hemorrhage. Treatment strategy should be made by a multi-disciplinary team in accredited centers with proficient experience in both techniques.

An alternative model to the well-established paradigm of the externally switchable drug delivery systems is herein proposed. In contrast to the on--off archetype, here the amount of released drug is pre-set by the application of an external stimulus, and is gradually released after the withdrawal of the exogenous signal. These attributes are achieved through an innovative approach featuring the integration of plasmonic nanovehicles in a polymer-based film. Such a platform is provided with optically responsive capabilities together with multiple diffusional barriers, allowing for an ＂on-demand＂ time-limited release where light acts as a therapeutic ＂starting shot＂. These nanoarchitectured depots have great potential as implantable drug delivery systems in clinical scenarios where a recurrent, sustained, and yet, on--off administration of medication is required. The application of these hybrid materials may extend the implementation of nanomedicine strategies beyond the point-of-care setting.

Endoscopic ultrasonography(EUS) with or without fine needle aspiration has become the main technique for evaluating pancreatobiliary disorders and has proved to have a higher diagnostic yield than positron emission tomography,computed tomography(CT) and transabdominal ultrasound for recognising early pancreatic *** a diagnostic modality for pancreatic cancer,EUS has proved rates higher than 90%,especially for lesions less than 2-3 cm in size in which it reaches a sensitivity rate of 99% vs 55% for ***,EUS has a very high negative predictive value and thus EUS can reliably exclude pancreatic *** complication rate of EUS is as low as 1.1%-3.0%.New technical developments such as elastography and the use of contrast agents have recently been applied to EUS,improving its diagnostic *** has been found to be superior to the recent multidetector CT for T stagingwith less risk of overstaying in comparison to both CT and magnetic resonance imaging,so that patients are not being ruled out of a potentially beneficial *** accuracy for N staging with EUS is 64%-82%.In unresectable cancers,EUS also plays a therapeutic role by means of treating oncological pain through celiac plexus block,biliary drainage in obstructive jaundice in patients where endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography is not affordable and aiding radiotherapy and chemotherapy.

A ratio control strategy has been used to demonstrate the feasibility of this automatic control procedure for the achievement of stable full and partial nitritation. The control strategy assured constant ratio between the dissolved oxygen （DO） and the total ammonia nitrogen （TAN） concentrations in the bulk liquid of aerobic granular sludge reactors operating in continuous mode. Three different set-ups with different reactor capacities were used （3, 110, and 150L）. High strength synthetic wastewaters and reject water were tested with similar performance. Achieved nitrogen loading rates ranged between 0.4 and 6.1 kgN· m^-3·d^-1, at temperatures between 20℃ and 30℃. 1Granular sludge and nitritation were stable in the long term continuous operation of the reactors. Suitable stable effluent for Anammox has been obtained using the desired TAN setpoint （i.e. 50% of influent ammonium oxidation）. An existing biofilm model devel- oped incorporating the implemented control loops and validated in a previous publication was used to investigate the effects of the ammonium concentration of the influent and the biofilm density on the achievement of full nitritation. The model demonstrated how sludge recirculation events led to a stable and significant increase of the biomass concentration in the reactor, which in turn resulted in the achievement of high nitrogen loading rates, due to the action of the control strategy. The model predicted an enhancement of stable full nitritation at higher ammonium concentrations in the influent. Poor influence of the biofilm density in the achievement of full nitritation was predicted with the model.

The novel coronavirus 2019(COVID-19)was reported by the World Health Organization in December 2019,and since then it has progressed into a worldwide pandemic,causing significant morbidity and *** symptoms of COVID-19 and elevated liver chemistries are seen in up to 50%of infected *** reports have suggested a high mortality rate for COVID-19 in patients with pre-existing liver disease,having an associated mortality of 39.8%.Alcoholic liver disease is a significant cause of morbidity and mortality in New Mexico(USA),and we report here the clinical course and characteristics of three cases of patients with alcoholic cir-rhosis who were admitted to our hospital with COVID-19.

CLONING AND SEQUENCE ANALYSIS OF TWO SATELLITE RNAs FROM CUC...

Cucumber mosaic virus （CMV） is a type member of the genus Cucumovirus. CMV have divided genomes consisting of three positive single-strands RNAs and a subgenomic RNA 4, which is generated by transcription from RNA 3 and serves as messenger RNA for the viral capsid protein. Some isolates of CMV contain abundant amounts of a small RNA （satellite RNA）, which is dependent on viral genomic RNA for its replication and spread, and has no appreciable nucleotide sequence similarity with the viral RNA. CMV can infect over 800 species of plants and is an economically important pathogen of field-grown vegetables in many areas of the world. In this study, the original cucumber mosaic virus （CMV） PI isolate has been caused very mild symptoms on many plant species, after serial passages of inoculation in 5 years, it was found that CMV P1 caused moderate symptoms on several tobacco cultivars and tomato. The dsRNA purification product were used for electrophoresis in agarose gel and the result show that the amount of satellite RNA is much higher than genomic RNAs and subgenomic RNA. Primers were synthesized based on reported CMV satellite RNA sequences, and a specific band of approximately 350 bases in length was found. In cloning and screening we found more than 20 white clones and only two were selected for sequence analysis. CMV PI sat-1 was 100% homology with a sequence reported in 1995, and the other one （CMV PI sat-2） was a new satellite. CMV P1 sat-1 is a mild satellite with about 335nt and CMV PI sat-2 is a new satellite （necrotic satellite） with 394nt, it is not a mutation from CMV P1 sat-1 because there are several deletions. The two satellites shared about 90% sequence homology. The two sequenced satellite RNAs have at least one open reading frame （ORF）. CMV P1 sat-1 share an ORF starting at nucleotide 11 and terminating at nucleotide 169. CMV P1 sat-2 has an ORF starting at residue 369 and terminating at residue 394, a second one s

The developmental dysplasia of the hip disease is in 1% of newborns, and it is a risk factor for dislocation of the hip;only 1 from 7000 newborns develops dislocation of the hip. Newborns were selected from public and private hospitals in Celaya, Guanajuato. Parents were asked to sign informed consent. Clinical maneuvers were applied for diagnosis of developmental dysplasia of the hip, on three consecutive occasions, two by the same investigator and the third by a different observer: Ortolani, Barlow, Piston, Galeazzi, Peter Baden, the comparative sound transmission test, and comparative sound transmission with extension/flexion test were applied. The diagnosis was confirmed with ultrasound of hip, technique Graf, I healthy hip, II functionally immature, III subluxation, and IV dislocation. Sample size was 8 affected hips and 56 healthy hips. Kappa for intra observer and inter observer reliability were measured;the validity was measured by sensitivity, specificity, positive and negative predictive values, using the ultrasound diagnosis as the gold standard. The sample consisted of 78 neonates hips with female’s predominance. With comparative sound transmission test was obtained Kappa intra observer 0.80, Kappa inter observer 0.93, sensitivity 45.45%, specificity 96.27%, positive predictive value 66.67% and negative predictive value 91.49%;with comparative sound transmission with extension/flexion, was 0.83, 0.92, 72.73%, 95.52%, 72.73%, and 95.52%, respectively. The tests compared the sound transmission help better diagnose developmental dysplasia disease of the hip.

Metamizole(MZ)is a widely used anti-inflammatory *** to its common use,this contaminant is found in sewage and *** order to reduce the contamination produced by the MZ,we fabricated in this work a photocatalytic composite using recycled polyethylene(RPE)and the CaLaCoO_(9)(LCCO)*** nanoparticles had a microplate-like morphology and sizes of 1.4–5.5μm according to the analysis of *** photocatalytic properties of the LCCO powders were evaluated under ultraviolet-visible(UV-Vis)irradiation and found a removal efficiency of 96%.When the RPE+LCCO composite was employed for the photocatalytic degradation of MZ,a maximum degradation of 92.5%was *** influence of the pH on the photocatalytic activity was also studied and found that an initial pH=3 produced a total degradation of MZ after 240 min of UV-Vis ***,three reuse cycles were carried out for the pure LCCO powders and for the RPE+LCCO composites and found that the maximum loss of degradation was 5%.Furthermore,scavenger experiments demonstrated that the super oxide and hydroxyl radicals are formed during the photocatalytic reaction and were responsible for the degradation of ***,the X-ray photoelectron-spectroscopy and Raman analysis demonstrated the formation of defects(oxygen vacancies),those ones delayed the electron-hole recombination,which in turn,enhanced the degradation of the ***,the studies performed in this work proved that composites made with recycled plastics and LCCO perovskites are a low-cost and feasible alternative for the cleaning of water sources polluted with pharmaceutical compounds.

The zeta potential, isoelectric point, and agglomeration of ***3 （LLTO） nanoparticles dispersed in aqueous media at different ionic strengths have been studied. The zeta potential was determined from electrophoretic mobility measurements, according to Smoluchowski＇s equation, for Li0.5La0.5TiO3 suspen- sions in NaCl and KCI electrolytes with ionic strengths of 1, 10, and 100 mmol/dm3. The isoelectric point （IEP）, zeta potential （ζ）, and the agglomeration were shown to strongly depend on the ionic strength of the Li0.5La0.5TiO3 aqueous colloidal suspension in both NaCI and KCI electrolytes, which allows the deter- mination of the effects of environmental conditions for ***3 manipulation in aqueous colloidal systems. The suspensions of Li0.5La0.5TiO3 nanoparticles reach the IEP in the pH range 0f3-5. The （ of Li0.5La0.5TiO3 nanoparticles varied from positive to negative values with a pH increase, which allows for the control of the surface charge depending on the purpose. The pH range of 7-g and an ionic strength ≤1 mmol/dm3 are recommended as the most suitable conditions for both the LLTO colloidal shaping techniques application and the LLTO-based nanocomposite formation.
