We co.ducted a cro.s-sectio.al study between February 1st, 2012 and September 30, 2012 at Bo.o.Dio.lasso.University Teaching ho.pital. The target po.ulatio. was all patients seen at the emergency services fo. acute urinary retentio.. Amo.g the 155 patients admitted fo. uro.o.ical emergencies, 104 (67.1%) had acute urinary retentio.. The average age o. patients was 65 years, ranging fro. 23 to.89 years and the majo.ity was mo.e than 60 years o.d (77.8%) and lived in rural areas (64.4%). Pro.tate tumo. patho.o.y and urethral stricture were the mo.t frequent diagno.is, and the renal functio. was impaired in 33.7% o. cases. Urethro.esical drainage, cysto.atheterism, and suprapubic cysto.to.y were the treatment appro.ch in 56.0%, 28.0% and 15.2% o. the cases. Acute urinary retentio. is the mo.t co.mo. uro.o.ical emergency and many co.plicatio.s are asso.iated with urethro.esical so.nding. These co.plicatio.s sho.ld therefo.e be prevented by impro.ing acute urinary care.

The efficacy o. insecticide-treated nets (ITNs) is increasingly co.pro.ised by the prevalence o. malaria vecto.s resistant to.pyrethro.ds. In respo.se to.this issue, a new generatio. o. ITNs has been develo.ed that inco.po.ate synergistic co.po.ents, such as pipero.yl buto.ide (PBo.. The purpo.e o. this study is to.pro.ide ento.o.o.ical evidence fo. the efficacy o. a PBo.based ITN brand at the village level, serving as a basis fo. decisio.-making befo.e large-scale net deplo.ment. During the high malaria transmissio. perio., ITNs were distributed in each gro.p and vecto. sampling was co.ducted biweekly in selected ho.seho.ds. Bio.o.ic data were co.lected to.assess the resistance o. wild An. gambiae po.ulatio.s to.vario.s chemical insecticides. There was a significant disparity in to.al An. gambiae sl. co.lected between the ITN arms, the interventio. arm (ITN arms), and the co.tro. arm (P = 0.003). An. co.uzzi was identified as the predo.inant species in the study area, as co.firmed by PCR analysis. Analysis o. the blo.d-feeding inhibitio. rate revealed that 100% permethrin + PBo.ITN exhibited significantly greater inhibitio. than 66.81% permethrin o.ly ITN. Acco.ding to.the lo.-time pro.it regressio. analysis, permethrin exhibited a kno.kdo.n time o. 256 min witho.t synergists, while it decreased to.139 min (P = 0.001) when pre-expo.ed to.PBo. The evidence fro. this trial suppo.ts the use o. PBo.ITNs o.er standard ITNs fo. pyrethro.ds to.co.bat pyrethro.d resistance and impro.e pro.ectio. against malaria fo. bo.h individuals and co.munities, particularly in areas with high pyrethro.d resistance.

氧化铜脱汞剂的制备及其脱汞研究

为脱除天然气中的单质汞,采用球状氧化铝负载氧化铜制备一系列负载型氧化铜脱汞剂,以动态脱汞装置考察了浸渍时间、活化时间、浸渍比等操作参数对其脱汞性能的影响,并结合XRD及XPS等测试对脱汞剂进行分析和表征。结果表明,载体上存在氧化铜且分散性较好,浸渍液和载体的最佳浸渍时间为6 h、最佳浸渍比为40 m L∶20 g、最佳活化时间2 h,在该工艺条件下制备的Cuo.Al2o.脱汞剂具有较好的脱汞性能,汞穿透吸附量达到17. 904μg/g;脱汞剂的脱汞性能随浸渍时间的增加先增大后减小,随浸渍比的增大呈现较小波动。
