DLPlib： A Library for Deep Learning Processor

Recently, deep learning processors have become one of the most promising solutions of accelerating deep learning algorithms. Currently, the only method of programming the deep learning processors is through writing assembly instructions by bare hands, which costs a lot of programming efforts and causes very low efficiency. One solution is to integrate the deep learning processors as a new back-end into one prevalent high-level deep learning framework （e.g., TPU （tensor processing unit） is integrated into Tensorflow directly）. However, this will obstruct other frameworks to profit from the programming interface, The alternative approach is to design a framework-independent low-level library for deep learning processors （e.g., the deep learning library for GPU, cuDNN）. In this fashion, the library could be conveniently invoked in high-level programming frameworks and provides more generality. In order to allow more deep learning frameworks to gain benefits from this environment, we envision it as a low-level library which could be easily embedded into current high-level frameworks and provide high performance. Three major issues of designing such a library are discussed. The first one is the design of data structures. Data structures should be as few as possible while being able to support all possible operations. This will allow us to optimize the data structures easier without compromising the generality. The second one is the selection of operations, which should provide a rather wide range of operations to support various types of networks with high efficiency. The third is the design of the API, which should provide a flexible and user-friendly programming model and should be easy to be embedded into existing deep learning frameworks. Considering all the above issues, we propose DLPIib, a tensor-filter based library designed specific for deep learning processors. A novel evasion guidance for hypersonic morphing vehicle via intelligent maneuver strategy

This paper presents a novel evasion guidance law for hypersonic morphing vehicles,focusing on determining the optimized wing's unfolded angle to promote maneuverability based on an intelligent ***,the pursuit-evasion problem is modeled as a Markov decision *** the agent's action consists of maneuver overload and the unfolded angle of wings,which is different from the conventional evasion guidance designed for fixed-shape *** reward function is formulated to ensure that the miss distances satisfy the prescribed bounds while minimizing energy ***,to maximize the expected cumulative reward,a residual learning method is proposed based on proximal policy optimization,which integrates the optimal evasion for linear cases as the baseline and trains to optimize the performance for nonlinear engagement with multiple ***,offline training guarantees improvement of the constructed evasion guidance law over conventional ***,the guidance law for online implementation includes only analytical *** maps from the confrontation state to the expected angle of attack and the unfolded angle while retaining high computational *** show that the proposed evasion guidance law can utilize the change of unfolded angle to extend the maximum overload *** it surpasses conventional maneuver strategies by ensuring better evasion efficacy and higher energy efficiency.

Beating the Fault-Tolerance Bound and Security Loopholes for Byzantine Agreement with a Quantum Solution

A memory-friendly class-incremental learning method for hand gesture recognition using HD-sEMG

Hand gesture recognition(HGR)plays a vital role in human-computer *** integration of high-density surface electromyography(HD-sEMG)and deep neural networks(DNNs)has significantly improved the robustness and accuracy of HGR *** methods are typically effective for a fixed set of trained ***,the need for new gesture classes over time poses a *** new classes to DNNs can lead to a substantial decrease in accuracy for previously learned tasks,a phenomenon known as“catastrophic forgetting,”especially when the training data for earlier tasks is not retained and *** issue is exacerbated in embedded devices with limited storage,which struggle to store the large-scale data of ***incremental learning(CIL)is an effective method to reduce catastrophic ***,existing CIL methods for HGR rarely focus on reducing memory *** address this,we propose a memory-friendly CIL method for HGR using *** approach includes a lightweight convolutional neural network,named SeparaNet,for feature representation learning,coupled with a nearest-mean-of-exemplars classifier for *** introduce a priority exemplar selection algorithm inspired by the herding effect to maintain a manageable set of exemplars during ***,a task-equal-weight exemplar sampling strategy is proposed to effectively reduce memory load while preserving high recognition *** results on two datasets demonstrate that our method significantly reduces the number of retained exemplars to only a quarter of that required by other CIL methods,accounting for less than 5%of the total samples,while still achieving comparable average accuracy.

Distributed Economic MPC for Synergetic Regulation of the Voltage of an Island DC Micro-Grid

In this paper,distributed model predictive control(DMPC) for island DC micro-grids(MG) with wind/photovoltaic(PV)/battery power is proposed,which coordinates all distributed generations(DG) to stabilize the bus voltage together with the insurance of having computational efficiency under a real-time *** on the feedback of the bus voltage,the deviation of the current is dispatched to each DG according to cost over the prediction ***,to avoid the excessive fluctuation of the battery power,both the discharge-charge switching times and costs are considered in the model predictive control(MPC) optimization problems.A Lyapunov constraint with a time-varying steady-state is designed in each local MPC to guarantee the stabilization of the entire *** voltage stabilization of the MG is achieved by this strategy with the cooperation of *** numeric results of applying the proposed method to a MG of the Shanghai Power Supply Company shows the effectiveness of the distributed economic MPC.

Simultaneously enhanced electrochemical performance and air stability of Ni-rich cathode with a modified washing process

Water washing has been regarded as one of the most effective strategies to remove surface residual lithium of nickel-rich layered oxides for lithium-ion batteries(LIBs).However,the loss of lattice lithium during the water washing process deteriorates the electrochemical performances and air ***,washing the LiNi_(0.90)Co_(0.05)Al_(0.02)O_(2)(NCA) with ammonium dihydrogen phosphate(NH_(4)H_(2)PO_(4)) solution has been proposed to simultaneously enhance electrochemical performances and air stability,in which in-situ generated Li_(3)PO_(4) coating layer on surface of NCA can suppress the loss of lattice ***,as a fast ionic conductor,Li_(3)PO_(4) coating layer on NCA can prevent the direct contact with electrolyte/*** a result,the NH_(4)H_(2)PO_(4) solution washed NCA cathode can deliver a high capacity of131.9 mAh·g^(-1) at 10.0C rate as well as impressive cycle stability with a capacity retention of 83.1% after 100 cycles at 1.0C,much higher than those of water washed NCA(WS-NCA) *** exposed in air for 7 days,the NH_(4)H_(2)PO_(4) solution washed NCA electrode can more effectively maintain the structural integrity as well as the electrochemical performances than water-washed *** work provides a simple and effective approach to enhance the cycle stability and air stability of Nickel-rich cathode materials.

Cardiovascular diseases(CVD)are the leading cause of death in the world and one of the most common diseases in the elderly,with high prevalence and poor prognosis,which seriously affect the health of the elder *** report showed that global deaths from CVD increased from 12.4 million in 1990 to 19.8 million in 2022,reflecting the global population growth and aging,as well as the impact of metabolic,environmental,and behavioral risks.[1]With the progress of aging population,the burden of CVD in the elderly in China has increased year by year,and factors including multiple complications,organ function decline,and high complication rate have made the interventional treatment of CVD in the elderly one of the difficulties and focuses in the field of cardiology in China.
