Azobenzene-based ultrathin peptoid nanoribbons for the potential on highly efficient artificial light-harvesting

The development of artificial light-harvesting systems based on long-range ordered ultrathin organic nanomaterials(i.e., below3 nm), which were assembled from stimuli-responsive sequence-controlled biomimetic polymers, remains challenging. Herein,we report the self-assembly of azobenzene-containing amphiphilic ternary alternating peptoids to construct photo-responsive ultrathin peptoids nanoribbons(UTPNRs) with a thickness of ~2.3 nm and the length in several micrometers. The pendants hydrophobic conjugate stacking mechanism explained the formation of one-dimensional ultrathin nanostructures, whose thickness was highly dependent on the length of side groups. The photo-isomerization of azobenzene moiety endowed the aggregates with a reversible morphology transformation from UTPNRs to spherical micelles(46.5 nm), upon the alternative irradiation with ultraviolet and visible light. Donor of 4-(2-hydroxyethylamino)-7-nitro-2,1,3-benzoxadiazole(NBD) and acceptor of rhodamine B(RB) were introduced onto the hydrophobic and hydrophilic regions, respectively, to generate photocontrollable artificial light-harvesting systems. Compared with the spheres-based systems, the obtained NBD-UTPNRs@RB composite proved a higher energy transfer efficiency(90.6%) and a lower requirement of RB acceptors in water. A proof-ofconcept use as fluorescent writable ink demonstrated the potential of UTPNRs on information encryption.

Five novel(9,10-dihydro)phenanthrene and bibenzyl trimers,as well as two previously identified biphenanthrenes and bibenzyls,were isolated from the tubers of Bletilla *** structures were elucidated through comprehensive analyses of NMR and HRESiMS spectroscopic *** absolute configurations of these compounds were determined by calculating rotational energy barriers and comparison of experimental and calculated ECD *** 5b and 6 exhibited inhibitory effects on LPS-induced NO production in BV-2 cells,with iC_(50) values of 12.59±0.40 and 15.59±0.83μmol·L^(-1),respectively.A mechanistic study suggested that these compounds may attenuate neuroinflammation by reducing the activation of the AKT/iκB/NF-κB signaling ***,compounds 3a,6,and 7 demonstrated significant PTP1B inhibitory activities,with iC_(50) values of 1.52±0.34,1.39±0.11,and 1.78±0.01μmol·L^(-1),*** investigation revealed that compound 3a might inhibit LPS-induced PTP1B overexpression and NF-κB activation,thereby mitigating the neuroinflammatory response in BV-2 cells.

A suitable channel structure can lead to efficient gas distribution and significantly improve the power density of fuel *** this study,the influence of two channel design parameters is investigated,namely,the ratio of the channel width to the bipolar plate ridge width(i.e.,the channel ridge ratio)and the channel *** impact of these parameters is evaluated with respect to the flow pattern,the gas composition distribution,the temperature field and the fuel cell output *** results show that a decrease in the channel ridge ratio and an increase in the channel depth can effectively make the distributions of velocity,temperature and concentration more uniform in each channel and improve the output capability of the fuel *** increase in the channel ridge ratio and depth obviously reduces the flow resistance and improves the flow characteristics.

Trombe wall and phase change materials(PCMs)are two effective ways to regulate indoor thermal ***,Trombe wall surfers from overheating in summer and PCMs suffer from low heat transfer rate caused by the limited thermal *** compensate the shortcomings of the two methods,this paper proposed a Trombe wall system integrated with *** on a light-weight building envelope in Changsha,China,the thermal comfort of 10 kinds of Trombe wall systems with PCMs with a melting temperature of 18-28℃ were *** the integrated indoor discomfort duration(i_(D)),integrated indoor discomfort degree-hour(i_(DH)),indoor air temperature(T_(in)),PCM liquid fraction(γ)and heat flux across wall(q)as evaluation indexes,the indoor thermal comfort was assessed in hot summer and cold winter *** show that the Trombe wall helped PCMs complete the phase change process *** wall with PCM25 next to the wall inner surface possessed the lowest annual i_(D) and i_(DH),as 2877 h and 12,974℃·h,*** with the values in a traditional building,the i_(D) and i_(DH) were reduced by 7.01% and 14.14%.in order to give full play to the heat storage and heat release of the Trombe wall with PCMs,PCMs with phase change temperature 7℃ lower than the peak ambient temperature in summer or 8℃ higher than the winter night temperature was recommended according to regional climate conditions.

The recent advances in aqueous magnesium-ion hybrid supercapacitor(MHSC)have attracted great attention as it brings together the benefits of high energy density,high power density,and synchronously addresses cost and safety ***,the freeze of aqueous electrolytes discourages aqueous MHSC from operating at low-temperature ***,a low-concentration aqueous solution of 4 mol L^(-1) Mg(ClO_(4))_(2) is devised for its low freezing point(-67℃)and ultra-high ionic conductivity(3.37 mS cm^(-1) at-50℃).Both physical characterizations and computational simulations revealed that the Mg(ClO_(4))_(2) can effectively disrupt the original hydrogen bond network among water molecules via transmuting the electrolyte structure,thus yielding a low freezing ***,the Mg(ClO_(4))_(2) electrolytes endue aqueous MHSC with a wider temperature operation range(-50℃–25℃)and a higher energy density of 103.9 Wh kg^(-1) at 3.68 kW kg^(-1) over commonly used magnesium salts(i.e.,MgSO_(4) and Mg(NO_(3))_(2))***,a quasi-solid-state MHSC based on polyacrylamide-based hydrogel electrolyte holds superior low-temperature performance,excellentﬂexibility,and high *** work pioneers a convenient,cheap,and eco-friendly tactic to procure low-temperature aqueous magnesium-ion energy storage device.

The angle α between the fault strike and the axial direction of the roadway produces different damage characteristics. in this paper, the research methodology includes theoretical analyses, numerical simulations and field experiments in the context of the Daqiang coal mine located in Shenyang, China. The stability control countermeasure of "pre-splitting cutting roof + NPR anchor cable"(PSCR-NPR) is simultaneously proposed. According to the different deformation characteristics of the roadway, the faults are innovatively classified into three types, with α of type i being 0°-30°, α of type ii being 30°-60°, and α of type iii being 60°-90°. The full-cycle stress evolution paths during mining roadway traverses across different types of faults are investigated by numerical simulation. Different pinch angles α lead to high stress concentration areas at different locations in the surrounding rock. The non-uniform stress field formed in the shallow surrounding rock is an important reason for the instability of the roadway. The pre-cracked cut top shifted the high stress region to the deep rock mass and formed a low stress region in the shallow rock mass. The high prestressing NPR anchor cable transforms the non-uniform stress field of the shallow surrounding rock into a uniform stress field. PSCR-NPR is applied in the fault-through roadway of Daqiang mine. The low stress area of the surrounding rock was enlarged by 3-7 times, and the cumulative convergence was reduced by 45%-50%. it provides a reference for the stability control of the deep fault-through mining roadway.
