Benefit of aerosol reduction to winter wheat during China's clean air action:A case study of Henan Province

A strongly declining aerosol radiative effect has been observed in China since 2013 after implementing the clean air action,yet its impact on wheat(Triticum aestivum L.)production remains unclear.We use satellite measures and a biophysical crop model to assess the impact of aerosol-induced radiative perturbations on winter wheat production in the agricultural belt of Henan province from 2013 to 2018.After calibrating parameters with the extended Fourier Amplitude Sensitivity Test(EFAST)and the generalized likelihood uncertainty estimation(GLUE)method,the DSSAT CERES-Wheat model was able to simulate crop biomass and yield more accurately.We found that the aerosol negatively impacted wheat biomass by 21.87%and yield by 22.48%from 2006 to 2018,and the biomass effects from planting to anthesis were more significant compared to anthesis to maturity.Due to the strict clean air action,under all-sky conditions,the surface solar shortwave radiation(SSR)in 2018 increased by about 7.08%over 2006-2013 during the wheat growing seasons.As a result of the improvement of crop photosynthesis,winter wheat biomass and yield increased by an average of 5.46%and 2.9%,respectively.Our findings show that crop carbon uptake and yield will benefit from the clean air action in China,helping to ensure national food and health security.

Data centers,the engines of the global Internet,rely on powerful high-speed optical interconnects.In optical fiber communication,classic direct detection captures only the intensity of the optical field,while the coherent detection counterpart utilizes both phase and polarization diversities at the expense of requiring a narrow-linewidth and high-stability local oscillator(LO).Herein,we propose and demonstrate a four-dimensional Jones-space optical field recovery(4-D JSFR)scheme without an LO.The polarization-diverse full-field receiver structure captures information encoded in the intensity and phase of both polarizations,which can be subsequently extracted digitally.To our knowledge,our proposed receiver achieves the highest electrical spectral efficiency among existing direct detection systems and potentially provides similar electrical spectral efficiency as standard intradyne coherent detection systems.The fully recovered optical field extends the transmission distance beyond the limitations imposed by fiber chromatic dispersion.Moreover,the LO-free advantage makes 4-D JSFR suitable for photonic integration,offering a spectrally efficient and cost-effective solution for massively parallel data center interconnects.Our results may contribute to the ongoing developments in the theory of optical field recovery and the potential design considerations for future high-speed optical transceivers.

Due to the constraints imposed by physical effects and performance degra certain limitations in sustaining the advancement of Moore’s law.Two-dimensional(2D)materials have emerged as highly promising candidates for the post-Moore era,offering significant potential in domains such as integrated circuits and next-generation computing.Here,in this review,the progress of 2D semiconductors in process engineering and various electronic applications are summarized.A careful introduction of material synthesis,transistor engineering focused on device configuration,dielectric engineering,contact engineering,and material integration are given first.Then 2D transistors for certain electronic applications including digital and analog circuits,heterogeneous integration chips,and sensing circuits are discussed.Moreover,several promising applications(artificial intelligence chips and quantum chips)based on specific mechanism devices are introduced.Finally,the challenges for 2D materials encountered in achieving circuit-level or system-level applications are analyzed,and potential development pathways or roadmaps are further speculated and outlooked.

Anticipating others’actions is innate and essential in order for humans to navigate and interact well with others in dense crowds.This ability is urgently required for unmanned systems such as service robots and self-driving cars.However,existing solutions struggle to predict pedestrian anticipation accurately,because the influence of group-related social behaviors has not been well considered.While group relationships and group interactions are ubiquitous and significantly influence pedestrian anticipation,their influence is diverse and subtle,making it difficult to explicitly quantify.Here,we propose the group interaction field(GIF),a novel group-aware representation that quantifies pedestrian anticipation into a probability field of pedestrians’future locations and attention orientations.An end-to-end neural network,GIFNet,is tailored to estimate the GIF from explicit multidimensional *** quantifies the influence of group behaviors by formulating a group interaction graph with propagation and graph attention that is adaptive to the group size and dynamic interaction states.The experimental results show that the GIF effectively represents the change in pedestrians’anticipation under the prominent impact of group behaviors and accurately predicts pedestrians’future states.Moreover,the GIF contributes to explaining various predictions of pedestrians’behavior in different social states.The proposed GIF will eventually be able to allow unmanned systems to work in a human-like manner and comply with social norms,thereby promoting harmonious human-machine relationships.

Background:The impact of corticosteroids on humoral responses in coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)sur-vivors during the acute phase and subsequent 6-month period remains unknown.This study aimed to determine how the use of corticosteroids influences the initiation and duration of humoral responses in COVID-19 survivors 6 months after infection onset.Methods:We used kinetic antibody data from the lopinavir-ritonavir trial conducted at Jin Yin-Tan Hospital in January 2020,which involved adults hospitalized with severe COVID-19(LOTUS,ChiCTR2000029308).Anti-body samples were collected from 192 patients during hospitalization,and kinetic antibodies were monitored at all available time points after recruitment.Additionally,plasma samples were collected from 101 COVID-19 survivors for comprehensive humoral immune measurement at the half-year follow-up visit.The main focus was comparing the humoral responses between patients treated with systemic corticosteroid therapy and the non-corticosteroid group.Results:From illness onset to day 30,the median antibody titre areas under the receiver operating characteristic curve(AUCs)of nucleoprotein(N),spike protein(S),and receptor-binding domain(RBD)immunoglobulin G(IgG)were significantly lower in the corticosteroids group.The AUCs of N-,S-,and RBD-IgM as well as neutralizing antibodies(NAbs)were numerically lower in the corticosteroids group compared with the non-corticosteroid group.However,peak titres of N,S,RBD-IgM and-IgG and NAbs were not influenced by corticosteroids.During 6-month follow-up,we observed a delayed decline for most binding antibodies,except N-IgM(𝛽−0.05,95%CI[−0.10,0.00])in the corticosteroids group,though not reaching statistical significance.No significant difference was observed for NAbs.However,for the half-year seropositive rate,corticosteroids significantly accelerated the decay of IgA and IgM but made no difference to N-,S-,and RBD-IgG or NAbs.Additionally,corticosteroids group showed a trend towards delayed viral clearance compared with the non-cort

目的了解新疆维吾尔自治区不同特征女医学生人乳头瘤病毒(Human papilloma virus,HPV)疫苗接种意愿及影响因素,为边疆地区大学生群体HPV疫苗推广工作提供科学依据。方法2022年4—5月以计划行为理论模型为依据,采用分层随机抽样法对新疆维吾尔自治区女医学生开展问卷调查,运用SPSS 22.0进行单因素和二分类logistic回归分析。结果发放问卷900份,收回有效问卷887份,有效回收率为98.56%。在未接种HPV疫苗的861人中,801人愿意接种HPV疫苗,且对HPV疫苗认知程度越高,获得父母、学校等外部主观规范作用的女医学生更愿意接种疫苗。二分类logistic回归分析显示,年级(OR=2.114,95%CI:1.308~3.417)、是否听说过宫颈癌(OR=2.370,95%CI:1.107~5.074)、是否听说过HPV(OR=4.752,95%CI:2.056~10.984)、是否听说过HPV疫苗(OR=2.685,95%CI:1.281~5.628)、父母态度是否影响HPV疫苗接种意愿(OR=0.246,95%CI:0.128~0.472)是女医学生HPV疫苗接种意愿的影响因素。结论新疆维吾尔自治区女医学生HPV疫苗接种意愿较高,但实际接种率不高,应结合其对HPV疫苗的行为态度和主观规范、感知行为控制方面的特点,充分发挥女医学生群体对其他人群的带动作用,重点引导接种群体形成健康自觉意识,有区别地发挥外部推动作用,进一步消除行动障碍等。

砂土中海上倾斜螺旋群桩基础承载特性研究

[目的]海上风电产业是全球新能源发展道路上最具先导性和战略性的新兴产业之一。文章以应用于海上风电基础中的倾斜螺旋群桩基础为研究对象,系统地研究了其承载特性。作为一种具有广阔应用前景的新型基础型式,对其承载特性进行精准研究对后续倾斜螺旋群桩基础的普及应用及海上风电行业发展有着重要意义。[方法]通过有限元软件系统地研究了桩数、桩间距和倾斜角度等变量对倾斜螺旋群桩承载特性的影响,进而得出了多种工况下螺旋桩的群桩效应系数及承载力随桩数、倾斜角度和桩间距的变化规律。[结果]结果表明:倾斜螺旋群桩相较于单桩基桩承载力提升了15%左右,群桩效率系数随桩数增加而增大;群桩基础承载力随桩间距呈正相关变化趋势,桩间距越小中心土体压力叠加越显著,在桩间距取值范围内,极限承载力变化幅值为4%左右;倾角越大,倾斜螺旋群桩基础受压承载力性能越优异,群桩受压效率系数也随之增大,受压承载时8°倾角较为高效;受拉拔作用时,倾斜螺旋群桩上部土体受到扰动较小,倾斜群桩基础受桩间距的影响程度更大,群桩中心处土体竖向位移极值深度随桩间距增大而逐渐上移;受压作用时,倾斜螺旋群桩对土体影响范围更大,桩间相互影响更为稳定,群桩中心处土体竖向位移极值深度与桩间距、倾角无明显相关关系。[结论]研究成果可为我国海上风电螺旋群桩基础建设提供一定的研究思路及手段,对倾斜螺旋群桩基础尺寸设计及承载力评估具有一定的参考意义,有一定的科学意义和工程应用价值。
