Lipid phosphorylation by a diacylglycerol kinase suppresses ABA biosynthesis to regulate plant stress responses

Lipid phosphorylation by diacylglycerol kinase(DGK)that produces phosphatidic acid(PA)plays important roles in various biological processes,including stress responses,but the underlying mechanisms remain elusive.Here,we show that DGK5 and its lipid product PA suppress ABA biosynthesis by interacting withABA-DEFICIENT2(ABA2),a key ABA biosynthesis enzyme,to negatively modulate plant responseto abiotic stress tested in Arabidopsis thaliana.Loss of DGK5 function rendered plants less damaged,whereas overexpression(OE)of DGK5 enhanced plant damage to water and salt stress.The dgk5 mutant plants exhibited decreased total cellular and nuclear levels of PA with increased levels of diacylglycerol,whereas DGK5-OE plants displayed the opposite effect.Interestingly,we found that both DGK5 and PA bind to the ABA-synthesizing enzyme ABA2 and suppress its enzymatic activity.Consistently,the dgk5 mutant plants exhibited increased levels of ABA,while DGK5-OE plants showed reduced ABA levels.In addition,we showed that both DGK5 and ABA2 are detected in and outside the nuclei,and loss of DGK5 function decreased the nuclear association of ABA2.We found that both DGK5 activity and PA promote nuclear association of ABA2.Taken together,these results indicate that both DGK5 and PA interact with ABA2 to inhibit its enzymatic activity and promote its nuclear sequestration,thereby sup-pressing ABA production in response to abiotic stress.Our study reveals a sophisticated mechanism by which DGK5 and PA regulate plant stress responses.

As the demand for high-quality services proliferates,an innovative network architecture,the fully-decoupled RAN(FD-RAN),has emerged for more flexible spectrum resource utilization and lower network costs.However,with the decoupling of uplink base stations and downlink base stations in FDRAN,the traditional transmission mechanism,which relies on real-time channel feedback,is not suitable as the receiver is not able to feedback accurate and timely channel state information to the transmitter.This paper proposes a novel transmission scheme without relying on physical layer channel feedback.Specifically,we design a radio map based complex-valued precoding network(RMCPNet)model,which outputs the base station precoding based on user *** comprises multiple subnets,with each subnet responsible for extracting unique modal features from diverse input modalities.Furthermore,the multimodal embeddings derived from these distinct subnets are integrated within the information fusion layer,culminating in a unified representation.We also develop a specific RMCPNet training algorithm that employs the negative spectral efficiency as the loss function.We evaluate the performance of the proposed scheme on the public DeepMIMO dataset and show that RMCPNet can achieve 16%and 76%performance improvements over the conventional real-valued neural network and statistical codebook approach,respectively.

Macroscopic chiral spherulites prepared by hierarchical self-assembly have attracted considerable attention due to their excellent property as chiroptical materials.However,preparing controllable chiral spherulites in bulk film remains a challenge due to the absent knowledge of the evolution mechanism from the molecule to macroscopic crystal during chiral assembly.In this contribution,chiral macroscopic spherulites were constructed with controllable circularly polarized luminescence(CPL)using enantiomeric tartaric acid and rhodamine B co-assembled with liquid crystal block copolymers,poly(ethylene oxide)-b-poly(methyl methacrylate)bearing azobenzene group side chains.It was found that the chiral liquid crystal field induced by exogenous chiral molecules was closely related to the formation of macroscopic chiral spherulites.Moreover,the transformation of azobenzene cis-trans isomerization under photo-thermal endows films with adjustable CPL.This facile strategy provides a platform to design large-scale chiral structures for chiroptical switching,encryption,and memory storage materials.

Ethical Decision-Making Framework Based on Incremental ILP Considering Conflicts

Humans are experiencing the inclusion of artificial agents in their lives,such as unmanned vehicles,service robots,voice assistants,and intelligent medical care.If the artificial agents cannot align with social values or make ethical decisions,they may not meet the expectations of humans.Traditionally,an ethical decision-making framework is constructed by rule-based or statistical approaches.In this paper,we propose an ethical decision-making framework based on incremental ILP(Inductive Logic Programming),which can overcome the brittleness of rule-based approaches and little interpretability of statistical approaches.As the current incremental ILP makes it difficult to solve conflicts,we propose a novel ethical decision-making framework considering conflicts in this paper,which adopts our proposed incremental ILP system.The framework consists of two processes:the learning process and the deduction process.The first process records bottom clauses with their score functions and learns rules guided by the entailment and the score function.The second process obtains an ethical decision based on the rules.In an ethical scenario about chatbots for teenagers’mental health,we verify that our framework can learn ethical rules and make ethical decisions.Besides,we extract incremental ILP from the framework and compare it with the state-of-the-art ILP systems based on ASP(Answer Set Programming)focusing on conflict resolution.The results of comparisons show that our proposed system can generate better-quality rules than most other systems.

With the increasing scarcity of Earth’s resources and the development of space science and technology,the exploration, development, and utilization of deep space-specific material resources(minerals, water ice, volatile compounds, etc.) are not only important to supplement the resources and reserves on Earth but also provide a material foundation for establishing extraterrestrial research bases. To achieve large depth in-situ condition-preserved coring(ICP-Coring) in the extreme lunar environment, first, lunar rock simulant was selected(SZU-1), which has a material composition, element distribution, and physical and mechanical properties that are approximately equivalent to those of lunar mare basalt. Second, the influence of the lunar-based in-situ environment on the phase, microstructure, and thermal physical properties(specific heat capacity, thermal conductivity, thermal diffusivity, and thermal expansion coefficient)of SZU-1 was explored and compared with the measured lunar rock data. It was found that in an air atmosphere, low temperature has a more pronounced effect on the relative content of olivine than other temperatures, while in a vacuum atmosphere, the relative contents of olivine and anorthite are significantly affected only at temperatures of approximately-20 and 200 ℃. When the vacuum level is less than100 Pa, the contribution of air conduction can be almost neglected, whereas it becomes dominant above this threshold. Additionally, as the testing temperature increases, the surface of SZU-1 exhibits increased microcracking, fracture opening, and unevenness, while the specific heat capacity, thermal conductivity,and thermal expansion coefficient show nonlinear increases. Conversely, the thermal diffusivity exhibits a nonlinear decreasing trend. The relationship between thermal conductivity, thermal diffusivity, and temperature can be effectively described by an exponential function(R^(2)>0.98). The research results are consistent with previous studies on real lunar rocks. These research findings are

YOLO-DD:Improved YOLOv5 for Defect Detection

As computer technology continues to advance,factories have increasingly higher demands for detecting defects.However,detecting defects in a plant environment remains a challenging task due to the presence of complex backgrounds and defects of varying shapes and sizes.To address this issue,this paper proposes YOLO-DD,a defect detectionmodel based on YOLOv5 that is effective and robust.To improve the feature extraction process and better capture global information,the vanilla YOLOv5 is augmented with a new module called Relative-Distance-Aware Transformer(RDAT).Additionally,an Information Gap Filling Strategy(IGFS)is proposed to improve the fusion of features at different scales.The classic lightweight attention mechanism Squeeze-and-Excitation(SE)module is also incorporated into the neck section to enhance feature expression and improve the model’s performance.Experimental results on the NEU-DET dataset demonstrate that YOLO-DDachieves competitive results compared to state-of-the-art methods,with a 2.0% increase in accuracy compared to the original YOLOv5,achieving 82.41% accuracy and38.25FPS(framesper second).Themodel is also testedon a self-constructed fabric defect dataset,and the results show that YOLO-DD is more stable and has higher accuracy than the original YOLOv5,demonstrating its stability and generalization ability.The high efficiency of YOLO-DD enables it to meet the requirements of industrial high accuracy and real-time detection.

High-efficiency and low-cost knowledge sharing can improve the decision-making ability of autonomous vehicles by mining knowledge from the Internet of Vehicles(IoVs).However,it is challenging to ensure high efficiency of local data learning models while preventing privacy leakage in a high mobility environment.In order to protect data privacy and improve data learning efficiency in knowledge sharing,we propose an asynchronous federated broad learning(FBL)framework that integrates broad learning(BL)into federated learning(FL).In FBL,we design a broad fully connected model(BFCM)as a local model for training client data.To enhance the wireless channel quality for knowledge sharing and reduce the communication and computation cost of participating clients,we construct a joint resource allocation and reconfigurable intelligent surface(RIS)configuration optimization framework for FBL.The problem is decoupled into two convex subproblems.Aiming to improve the resource scheduling efficiency in FBL,a double Davidon–Fletcher–Powell(DDFP)algorithm is presented to solve the time slot allocation and RIS configuration problem.Based on the results of resource scheduling,we design a reward-allocation algorithm based on federated incentive learning(FIL)in FBL to compensate clients for their costs.The simulation results show that the proposed FBL framework achieves better performance than the comparison models in terms of efficiency,accuracy,and cost for knowledge sharing in the IoV.

Histamine is a neurotransmitter and neuromodulator in the central nervous system,which plays its function through binding with diferent histamine receptors,such as H_(1)receptor(H_(1)R),H_(2)receptor(H_(2)R),H_(3)receptor(H_(3)R),and H_(4)receptor(H_(4)R)[1,2].Although both H_(1)R and H_(2)R,as post-synaptic receptors,are expressed in most brain areas,they captured different attention from scientists.H,R is well stud-ied and believed to play critical roles in many physiological and pathological processes,including sleep and wakefulness.

Raspberries are used for both food and medicine,but it has not yet attracted widespread attention.In this paper,the chemical constituen of the original plant raspberry.R.chingii is one of the new "Zhe Bawei" medicinal materials selected in 2017. "Zhe Bawei" refers to eight kinds of genuine medicinal materials in Zhejiang Province.The chemical constituents,pharmacological effects,processing,and application of Rubus chingii Hu were reviewed to provide a reference for its further development.Relevant literature in recent years was collected in databases such as China Knowledge Network,Web of Science,Elsevier,PubMed,and X-Mol,using "raspberry", "Rubus chingii", "traditional use", "chemical composition", "pharmacology",etc.as keywords individually or in combination.The summary of pharmacological activities shows that the relationship between the pharmacological activities of raspberry is still not deep enough.More in-depth research should be carried out in this direction to explore the mechanism of action of its active ingredients and provide effective reference for the further development of the raspberry industry.In the future,with the participation of more researchers,it is expected to develop innovative drugs based on raspberry for the treatment of diseases.
