No samples from the Moon’s far side have been returned to Earth.Thus,lunar meteorite study can deepen the understanding of the Moon’s far side(if we can identify which lunar meteorites came from the Moon’s far side).The Northwest Africa(NWA)15528 meteorite is a lunar feldspathic regolith breccia meteorite and we speculated it might originate from the Feldspathic Highlands Terrane(FHT)on the far side of the Moon.Here,we report detailed petrography,major and trace elements,and noble gas(He,Ne,and Ar)isotopes for the clasts and matrix,respectively.The results show that the NWA 15528 lunar meteorite contains diverse clasts,including anorthosite,granulite,basalt,and impact melt clasts.The coarse,wellcrystallized,uniform chemical composition minerals may come from intrusive plutonic rocks.Among the anorthosite clasts,the norite/olivine clasts originate from the deep lunar crust,whereas the other anorthosite clasts are from lunar highlands.The Sm concentrations in NWA 15528 were similar to those in the fourth group of Apollo 16 melt samples,demonstrating that NWA 15528 has a typical plagioclase highland meteorite composition.Compared with the Apollo sample data and remote sensing results,the chemical composition of NWA 15528 indicated strong affinities with the FHT area and ferroan anorthosite(FAN)material from the far side of the Moon.The noble gas isotopic composition of NWA 15528 is consistent with a binary mixture of solar wind and cosmogenic components;during stepwise pyrolytic extractions,we observed that the abundance of cosmogenic components decreased,whereas that of solar wind components increased with increasing temperature.The average cosmic-ray exposure(CRE)age of the matrix and granulite is 42±6 Ma,with a shielding depth in the same range of 10-20 g cm^(−2).The gas retention age of NWA 15528 is 2.14 Ga,and the antiquity age of NWA 15528 is(0.69-0.74)±0.2 Ga(considering 50%40Arm is 40Artrap)which indicates the different clasts of NWA 15528 are assembled after 0.69-0.74 Ga.

Black crested gibbons(Nomascus concolor)are 1 of only 3 gibbon species that have been observed in long-term polygynous groups,but their mating behavior and reproductive characters have never been reported.Based on population monitoring over 7 years and direct observation for 26 months of the study groups in Wuliang Mountain,central Yunnan,we describe for the first time the copulation behavior and breeding pattern of free-ranging western black crested gibbons.The gestation period of black crested gibbons is estimated to be between 6 and 7 months.The average breeding interval is 3.5 years,with infant independence at approximately 2.5 years.We observed 2 intra-group copulations and 5 extra-group copulations.Copulations were initiated when a female gave a‘solicitation’gesture.When a male made any mating attempt,the female might refuse it.These results demonstrate direct female mate choice.Both male and female gibbons dispersed from their natal groups and sometimes replaced paired adults in other groups.We observed no evidence of infanticide during inter-group conflicts or after replacement of adults.Together with extra-group copulations,these phenomena indicate a flexible social organization and complex mating system.We also observed a male-biased sex ratio among offspring.More genetic work is necessary to describe the effects of inter-group copulation and the genetic diversity of this population.

The genus Trachypithecus is the most diverse langur taxon,distributed in southwestern China,south and southeastern Asia.In this study,we include 16 recognized Trachypithecus species to reconstruct the phylogeny with particular concern to the taxonomy of the three subspecies of T.phayrei using multiple genes.Our results support a sister-relationship between T.p.phayrei and T.p.shanicus.However,the mitochondrial CYT B gene supported T.p.crepuscula as a distinct species,but the nuclear PRM1 gene suggested a closer relationship between T.p.crepuscula and T.p.phayrei.The incongruence between nuclear and mitochondrial genes suggests that hybridization may have occurred,a fact that would benefit from re-examination using multiple unlinked nuclear genes.

Objective: To investigate the effect of gastroplasty on respiratory disorder and nocturnal blood oxygen in patients with severe obesity.Methods: From Apr.2020 to Nov.2021, we performed gastroplasty inSeverely obese 38 patientswith or without sleep apnea syndrome.These patients were followed up after gastroplasty in 1 month, 3 months, 6 months and 12 months, Home Sleep Apnea Testing(HSAT) was performed using the Apnea Link Plus TM(Resmed, Australia), before and after operation 1 month, 3 months, 6 months and 12 months.Results: A total of 38 patients with a mean age of(38 ± 10) years old were included.There were 10 males with BMI(41.1 ± 11.6) kg/m2, neck circumference(45.0 ± 2.4) cm, abdominal circumference(126 ± 18) cm, ODI4(20.9 ± 22.0) times/hour, average oxygen saturation(92.6 ± 3.0)%, and the lowest oxygen saturation(76 ± 11)%;There were 28 females with an average age of(38 ± 9) years old and BMI of(38.8 ± 6.6) kg/m2.Neck circumference(39.7 ± 2.9) cm, abdominal circumference(112 ± 13) cm, ODI4(12.3.9 ± 13.9)%, mean oxygen saturation(92.1 ± 12.0)%, and the lowest oxygen saturation(78 ± 13)%.After gastroplasty 1 month,Six patients had lowerESS[(4.4±2.2) vs.(2.0±1.8)]andBMI [(36.7 ± 3.8) kg/m2 vs.(33.3 ± 4.6) kg/m2] thanbefore gastroplasty.After gastroplasty 3 months, 12 patients had lower BMI [(40.0 ± 7.2) kg/m2 vs.(32.1 ± 6.1) kg/m2],lower neck circumference [(39.3±3.7)cm vs( 33.0±10.9)cm)], lower abdominal circumference [(115 ± 12) cm vs.(97 ± 14) cm] and lower ESS[(4.2±2.8) vs.(2.0±1.4)] thanbefore gastroplasty.After gastroplasty 6 months, 10 patients had lower BMI [(42.2 ± 11.9) kg/m2 vs.(31.6 ± 9.4) kg/m2], lower neck circumference [(43.1±3.8)cm vs(38.6±3.6)cm)], lower abdominal circumference [(118 ± 21) cm vs.(98 ± 21) cm], lower oxygen reduction index(ODI4) [(24.5 ± 19.0) vs.(10.2 ± 10.0) times/hour] and lower ESS[(3.8±2.7) vs.(1.8±1.8)] than before gastroplasty.After gastroplasty 12 months, 10 patients had lower BMI [(37.3 ± 7.0) kg/m2 vs.(27.9 ± 4.7) kg/m2], lower neck circumference [(40.8±3.8)cm vs( 35

Objective:To investigate the effects of automatic titration positive airway pressure ventilation(APAP) and continuous positive airway pressure(CPAP) on nocturnal blood pressure fluctuation in obstructive sleep apnea(OSA) combined with hypertension patients.Methods: From March to September 2021, we monitored 28 patients with OSA combined with hypertension all night, and estimated their nocturnal blood pressure by pulse conduction time(PTT) using German SOMNOscreenTM plus PSG monitoring system.Record parameters including respiratory disturbance index(AHI), hypopnea index(HI), oxygen reduction index(ODI4), mean oxygen saturation(MSaO2), minimum oxygen saturation(LSaO2), percentage of time when oxygen saturation is lower than 90% in total recording time(SIT90), nocturnal blood pressure fluctuation(NPBF), PTT decline index, heart rate acceleration index, etc.To compare the NPBF in OSA combined with hypertension patients before and after APAP and CPAP treatment.Results: A total of 28 patients with moderate and severe OSA combined with hypertension, aged 26-79 years, including 18 males and 10 females, 19 Han and 9 Uygur patients.NPBF was calculated by measuring PTT under the normal sleep state, APAP and CPAP treatment.The NPBF index of 28 patients with OSA combined with hypertension were [(22.1 ± 18.2) times/hour vs.(13.0 ± 12.5) times/hour] before and after APAP treatment.The NPBF index in 28 patients with OSA combined with hypertension were [((24.5±21.8)times/hour vs.(10.3±8.9) times/hour] before and after CPAP treatment, and the NPBF index were [(14.2±13.1) times/hour vs.(10.3 ± 9.0) times/hour] with APAP and CPAP treatment, the maximum systolic blood pressure were [(171.4±21.0) mmHg vs.(160.8±23.6) mmHg] and [(172.4±22.0)mmHg vs.(161.2±20.2) mmHg], the mean systolic blood pressure were [(130.2±15.5)mmHg vs.(124.5±12.6)mmHg] and [(132.6±15.1)mmHg vs.(124.4.±11.5) mmHg] Before and after APAP、CPAP treatment respectively, which all the differences were statistically significant(P < 0.05).Conclusion: APAP and CPAP treatm

The global proliferation of protected areas(PAs) is an enduring means of combating biodiversity declines and was a commendable tool towards achieving Aichi Biodiversity Target 11. Even so, the effectiveness of PAs in conserving biodiversity remains debated due to continued species declines and ecosystem degradations within them. It is increasingly recognized that merely designating new and expanding existing PAs does not guarantee the protection of critical ecosystems and species. Instead, their management must be effective for meaningful long-term conservational success and viability, integral to the success of the historic Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework goals and targets. Evaluating the effectiveness of biodiversity management tools such as PAs requires a good understanding of how institutional(such as PA governances and designations) and noninstitutional(such as abiotic [environmental and anthropogenic] factors) variables affect species diversity and distribution patterns and ecological-evolutionary opportunities, especially in biodiversity-rich countries such as Kenya. In this study, we coupled data on Kenya's terrestrial mammal occurrences, phylogenetic associations, functional traits, and abiotic factors to derive multiple taxonomic, functional, and phylogenetic diversity indices. We then inferred PAs' management effectiveness based on the diversity and distribution patterns, their association with governance and designation types, and with several abiotic factors using multivariate statistics and regression analysis. We found that nearly all terrestrial mammals in Kenya were represented in at least one PA(≈ 98%), although the range proportion overlapping in PAs was low. Spatial conservation prioritization analysis showed that a best-solution reserve system required significant expansion of current PAs to achieve a one-third coverage of focal species ranges.
