subthermocline eddies carrying the Indonesian Throughflow water observed in the southeastern tropical Indian Ocean

We observed a subthermocline eddy(sTE)with a cold and fresh core during an observation cruise along a transect of 10°s in the southeastern tropical Indian Ocean(sETIO)in December *** vertical scale,speed radius,and maximum swirl velocity of the sTE were about 200 m,55 km,and 0.5 m/s,*** mean Rossby number and Burger number of the sTE were then estimated to be about−0.7 and 2.4,indicating the sTE was a submesoscale coherent *** sTE core water had characteristics of the Indonesian Throughflow(ITF)water and was distinct from that of surrounding *** examining Argo float data,another sTE was well captured by five successive profiles of the same Argo *** sTEs showed significant temperature and salinity anomalies at theσ0=26.0-26.5 kg/m3 *** the assumption that the low-salinity ITF water parcels could be carried only by surface eddies and the sTEs,the Argo profiles,which detected low-salinity ITF water and were located outside a surface eddy,were believed to be inside an sTE and were used to analyze the distribution,origin,and generation mechanism of the *** results suggested that the sTEs carrying ITF water may be generated under topography-current interaction at the eastern coastal waters or under front-induced subduction in the area away from coastal *** sTEs may be widely distributed in the sETIO and may play a role in ITF water parcel transport.

China is in a transitional period between urban renewal and industrial *** this period,the focus has been on the suburbanization of enterprises and land transformation in old industrial areas,particularly areas with chemical industries.A life cycle theoretical framework was established to develop chemical industrial zones in the context of urban expansion and land function *** long-term historical processes and mechanisms that transformed a typical old chemical industry area along the Yangtze River,Yanziji Area of nanjing City were unveiled and comparatively *** study found that the entire life cycle of the case study area was formed through the combined action of different influencing *** industrial location factors played important roles during the rise and continuity of the chemical industry zone,while unconventional environmental regulations and government policies drove its decline and *** the transformation of the old chemical zone,the renewal and redevelopment of industrial land into higher-value residential land is a key link determining the feasibility of government fund compensation and the circulation of *** findings demonstrate that regional control and environmental regulation play crucial roles in determining the location of polluting industries and the renewal of urban industrial *** research enhances the understanding of the development history and reconstruction of chemical industry clusters and plots within megacities at a finer geographic scale.

McKay Matrices for Pointed Rank One Hopf Algebras of nilpotent Type

Let H be a finite-dimensional pointed rank one Hopf algebra of nilpotent type over a finite group *** this paper,we investigate the McKay matrix WV of H for tensoring with the 2-dimensional indecomposable H-module V:=M(2,0).It turns out that the characteristic polynomial,eigenvalues and eigenvectors of WV are related to the character table of the finite group G and a kind of generalized Fibonacci ***,we construct some eigenvectors of each eigenvalue for WV by us.ng the factorization of the generalized Fibonacci *** an example,we explicitly compute the characteristic polynomial and eigenvalues of WV and give all eigenvectors of each eigenvalue for WV when G is a dihedral group of order 4n+2.

Maximal inequalities for demimartingales and their applications

In this paper, we establish some maximal inequalities for demimartingales which generalize and improve the results of Christofides. The maximal inequalities for demimartingales are used as key inequalities to establish other results including Doob’s type maximal inequality for demimartingales, strong laws of large numbers and growth rate for demimartingales and associated random variables. At last, we give an equivalent condition of uniform integrability for demisubmartingales.

Domain Decomposition Preconditioners for Mixed Finite-Element Discretization of High-Contrast Elliptic Problems

In this paper,we design an efficient domain decomposition(DD)preconditioner for the saddle-point problem resulting from the mixed finite-element discretization of multiscale elliptic *** proper equivalent algebraic operations,the original saddle-point system can be transformed to another saddle-point system which can be preconditioned by a block-diagonel matrix ***,the first block of this block-diagonal matrix corresponds to a multiscale H(div)problem,and thus,the direct inverse of this block is unpractical and unstable for the large-scale *** remedy this issue,a two-level overlapping DD preconditioner is proposed for this//(div)*** coarse space consists of some velocities obtained from mixed formulation of local eigenvalue problems on the coarse edge patches multiplied by the partition of unity functions and the trivial coarse basis(e.g.,Raviart-Thomas element)on the coarse *** condition number of our preconditioned DD method for this multiscale H(div)system is bounded by C(1+务)(1+log4(^)),where 6 denotes the width of overlapping region,and H,h are the typical sizes of the subdomain and fine *** examples are pres.nted to confirm the validity and robus.ness of our DD preconditioner.

Guaranteeing Wireless Communication secrecy via a WFRFT-Based Cooperative system

In this paper, a weighted fractional Fourier transform(WFRFT) based cooperative overlay system, aiming to guarantee physical layer(PHY) security, is proposed. The paper elaborates how WFRFT and physical layer properties of the wireless medium are collaborated to guarantee the secrecy of wireless transmissions. In the proposed system, WFRFT is first preform on the secret data, such that the transmitted signal is distorted and can only be neutralized by inverse-WFRFT with the same parameter. And then two streams of the transformed sequences that bearing different messages are cooperatively and simultaneously transmitted to two legitimate receivers via a beamforming-liked method, respectively. In general, both the rapid spatial decorrelation property and the inherent security features of WFRFT are leveraged, such that only the eavesdropper's is degraded, and hence, the wireless communication secrecy is reliably guaranteed. numerical simulations are conducted to evaluate the performance of the proposed system in terms of the average bit error rate and the secrecy capacity.

scratchpad memory allocation for arrays in permutation graphs

In modern embedded systems,on-chip memory is generally organized as software-managed scratchpad memory(sPM).Li et *** that in many embedded applications,the array interference graphs tend to be superperfect *** on this,they pres.nted a superperfect graph-based sPM allocation algorithm,which is the best in the *** this paper,we make further progress in proving that the array interference graphs they focused on are permutation graphs;that is,a subclass of a superperfect *** to the latter,the permutation graph has certain advantages,such as linear time recognition and linear time optimal interval *** on our theoretical results,we improve their algorithm by transforming it into a permutation graph-based one by means of simple plug-in *** experiments confirm that the improved algorithm achieves optimal coloring,and therefore,better allocation than the original superperfect graph-based algorithm for a broader scope of array interference graphs.

Application of a support Vector Machine Algorithm to the safety Precaution Technique of Medium-low Pressure Gas Regulators

In the gas pipeline system, safe operation of a gas regulator determines the stability of the fuel gas supply, and the medium-low pressure gas regulator of the safety precaution system is.not perfect at the pres.nt stage in the Bei- jing Gas Cxroup; therefore, safety precaution technique optimization has important social and economic signific- ance, In this paper, according to the running status of the medium-low pressure gas regulator in the sCADA sys- tem, a new method for gas regulator safety precaution based on the support vector machine （sVM） is pres.nted. This method takes the gas regulator outlet pressure data as input variables of the sVM model, the fault categories and degree as output variables, which will effectively enhance the precaution accuracy as well as save significant manpower and material resources.
