An efficient Adomian analytical decomposition technique for studying the momentum and heat boundary layer equations with exponentially stretching surface conditions was presented and an approximate analytical solution was obtained, which can be represented in terms of a rapid convergent power series with elegantly computable terms. The reliability and efficiency of the approximate solution were verified using numerical solutions in the literature. The approximate solution can be successfully applied to provide the values of skin friction and the temperature gradient coefficient.

Cerebral malaria(CM)is a life-threatening diffuse encephalopathy caused by Plasmodium falciparum,in which the destruction of the blood–brain barrier(BBB)is the main cause of ***,increasing evidence has shown that antimalarial drugs,the current treatment for CM,do little to protect against CM-induced BBB ***,a means to alleviate BBB dysfunction would be a promising adjuvant therapy for *** adhesion molecule CD146 has been reported to be expressed in both endothelial cells and proinflammatory immune cells and mediates ***,we demonstrate that CD146 expressed on BBB endothelial cells but not immune cells is a novel therapeutic target in a mouse model of experimental cerebral malaria(eCM).Endothelial CD146 is upregulated during eCM development and facilitates the sequestration of infected red blood cells(RBCs)and/or proinflammatory lymphocytes in CNS blood vessels,thereby promoting the disruption of BBB *** studies showed that the interaction of CD146 and Galectin-9 contributes to the aggregation of infected RBCs and *** of endothelial CD146 or treatment with the anti-CD146 antibody AA98 prevents severe signs of eCM,such as limb paralysis,brain vascular leakage,and *** addition,AA98 combined with the antiparasitic drug artemether improved the cognition and memory of mice with *** together,our findings suggest that endothelial CD146 is a novel and promising target in combination with antiparasitic drugs for future CM therapies.

为了改善挖掘机铲斗关节摩擦副的磨损问题,以特定的挖掘机模型为例,通过模拟挖掘机铲斗关节摩擦副的典型工况确定其相应的载荷,采用有限元法对此加载条件下各种形貌微织构表面的应力分布进行了研究。采用GY-LC-01型飞秒激光打标机对1Cr13基体表面加工一定尺寸的微织构,在有油润滑条件下,使用端面摩擦磨损试验机进行摩擦磨损试验,利用三维扫描深度显微镜观察磨损表面,研究了不同微织构的摩擦机理以及润滑条件下摩擦副的减摩效果。研究结果表明,织构表面的摩擦性能优于非织构表面,应力集中在织构边缘,圆形织构表面应力最小、减摩耐磨特性最好,具有最低的平均摩擦因数。

The high cost and complex modification process of carbon felt electrodes limits its further popularization in vanadium redox flow batteries(VFBs).By introducing low-cost melamine foam,nitrogen,phosphorus,and sulfur co-doped carbon nanotubes/melamine foam composite electrode(NPS-CNTs-CMF)is designed and fabricated via immersing melamine foam in a solution containing N,P,and S co-doped *** integration of modified CNTs significantly enhances the conductivity and hydrophilicity of the ***,the composite electrode also demonstrates outstanding electrocatalytic activity owing to the heteroatom doping that further inspired the electrocatalytic activity of *** function theory cal-culations further uncover that introducing heteroatoms on CNTs not only promotes the adsorption of vanadium ions but also facilitates the electron transfer between vanadium ions and MF *** a result,the battery loading with NPS-CNTs-CMF exhibits excellent battery performance,achieving energy efficiency of 80.12%at 300 mA cm^(-2).Additionally,the long-term cycling stability is attained over 200 consecutive charge-discharge cycles at 300 mA cm^(−2).This study provides a novel melamine foam mate-rial with low cost and simple modification,and this new composite structure stimulates the development of high-performance electrodes in VFBs.

Fractional boundary layer flow of Maxwell fluid on an unsteady stretching surface was investigated. Time-space dependent fractional derivatives are introduced into the constitutive equations of the fluid. We developed and solved the governing equations using explicit finite difference method and the L1- algorithm as well as shifted Grunwald-Letnikov formula. The effects of fractional parameters, relaxation parameter, Reynolds number, and unsteadiness parameter on the velocity behavior and characteristics of boundary layer thickness and skin friction were analyzed. Results obtained indicate that the behavior of boundary layer of viscoelastic fluid strongly depends on time-space fractional parameters. Increases of time fractional derivative parameter and relaxation parameter cause a decrease of velocity while boundary layer thickness increase, but the space fractional derivative parameter and fractional Reynolds number have the opposite effects.
