Organic lasers with broad emission bands in near-infrared(NIR)region are crucial for their applications in laser communication,night-vision as well as bioimaging owing to the abundance of selectable lasing ***,for most organic gain materials,gain regions are limited in a small wavelength range because of the fixed energy level ***,we design a strategy to realize NIR organic lasers with broad emission bands based on tunable energy level systems induced by cascaded excited-state intramolecular proton transfer(eSIPT).A novel gain material named DHNN was developed,which can undergo a cascaded double-eSIPT process supporting four-level and six-level systems *** doping DHNN into polystyrene microspheres,NIR lasers with tunable emission bands can be achieved based on the careful modulation of ***,organic lasers with an ultra-broad emission band ranging from 700 nm to 900 nm was successfully achieved by harnessing four-level and six-level systems simultaneously.

AIM:To explore whether CD3ε is involved in the adaptive immunity of Aspergillus fumigatus(***)keratitis in mice and the role of innate and adaptive immunity in ***:Mice models of *** keratitis were established by intra-stromal injection and corneal epithelial *** injections of natamycin,wedelolactone,LOX-1 inhibitor(poly I)or Dectin-1 inhibitor(laminarin)were used to treat mice with *** *** were pretreated by intraperitoneal injection of anti-mouse CD3ε.We observed the corneal infection of mice under the slit lamp microscope and made a clinical *** protein expression of CD3ε and interleukin-10(IL-10)was determined by Western ***:With the disease progresses,the degree of corneal opacity and edema *** the intrastromal injection models,CD3εprotein expression began to increase significantly on the 2^(nd) ***,in the scraping epithelial method models,CD3ε only began to increase on the 3^(rd) *** natamycin treatment,the degree of corneal inflammation in mice was significantly attenuated on the 3^(rd) *** wedelolactone treatment,the severity of keratitis *** the amount of CD3ε protein was also reduced,compared with the control *** inhibiting LOX-1 and Dectin-1,there was no significant difference in CD3ε production compared with the control *** inhibiting CD3ε,corneal ulcer area and clinical score increased,and IL-10 expression was ***:As a pan T cell marker,CD3ε participate in the adaptive immunity of *** keratitis in *** our mice models,the corneas will enter the adaptive immune stage *** regulating IL-10,CD3ε exerts antiinflammatory and repairs effects in the adaptive immune stage.

Applicability of different indices for delineating the boundary of arid region: A case study in northwestern China

Arid regions are vital components of earth's land surface. Clarifying the area/boundary of arid region is crucial for comprehending area changes and potential mechanisms. However， the accuracy and applicability of arid region boundary delineated by different indices remain unclear. In this study， the annual precipitation （AP）， humidity index （H）， and aridity index （K） were calculated for delineating arid region of China using 106 meteorological stations during 1990–2019. The results suggest that AP and H can accurately delineate arid region， because they are consistent with the distribution of typical soil and vegetation in arid region， whereas K is not. Moreover， AP is the best index for delineating arid region in regions with limited meteorological data， especially in studying long-term patterns and mechanisms of area changes. The accuracy of delineating arid region using H is enhanced in regions with abundant meteorological data. Over the past 30 years， influenced by the increase of atmospheric moisture influx and precipitation， the area in arid region of northwestern China decreased by 70×103–90×103km2， resulting in the present area of approximately 1.55×106km2. This study provides appropriate indices for delineating arid region， contributing to improving our knowledge of regional responses difference to climate change.

The transient heat transfer behaviours in a packed bed have been studied using coupled computational fluid dynamics(CFD)and discrete element method(DeM).Intra-particle thermal diffusion,which is a crucial but rarely explored issue,is considered by introducing a one-dimensional diffusion equation in the DeM *** achieve a sufficiently long physical time of simulations,we further reduce the computational cost by applying periodic boundary condition to a small segment of the packed *** study demonstrates a shifting peak heat flow rate from the bottom to the top of the packed bed during the initial warming *** affirm that the influence of thermal diffusion within a particle is noteworthy only for particles exhibiting a high Biot number(e.g.,Bi=1.2).This insight enriche. our understanding of heat transfer mechanisms in packed beds and their practical engineering applications.

Self-incompatibility(SI)is an intraspecific reproductive barrier widely present in *** SI system with the broadest occurrence in angiosperms is based on an S-RNase linked to a cluster of multiple S-locus F-box(SLF)genes found in the Solanaceae,Plantaginaceae,Rosaceae,and *** studies reveal that non-self S-RNase is degraded by the Skip Cullin F-box(SCF)SLF-mediated ubiquitin–proteasome system in a collaborative manner in Petunia,but how self-RNase functions largely remains ***,we show that S-RNases form S-RNase condensates(SRCs)in the self-pollen tube cytoplasm through phase separation and the disruption of SRC formation breaks SI in self-incompatible Petunia *** further find that the pistil SI factors of a small asparagine-rich protein HT-B and thioredoxin h together with a reduced state of the pollen tube all promote the expansion of SRCs,which then sequester several actin-binding proteins,including the actin polymerization factor PhABRACL,the actin polymerization activity of which is reduced by S-RNase in ***,we find that S-RNase variants lacking condensation ability fail to recruit PhABRACL and are unable to induce actin foci formation required for pollen tube growth *** together,our results demonstrate that phase separation of S-RNase promotes SI response in ***,revealing a new mode of S-RNase action.

Next-generation advanced high/pulsed power capacitors urgently require dielectric materials with outstanding energy storage ***_(0.5)Na_(0.5)TiO_(3)-based lead-free materials exhibit high polarization,but the high remanent polarization and large polarization hysteresis limit their applications in dielectric ***,high-entropy perovskite relaxor ferroelectrics(Na_(0.2)Bi_(0.2)Ba_(0.2)Sr_(0.2)Ca_(0.2))(Ti1-x%Zrx%)O_(3)are designed by adding multiple ions in the A-site and replacing the B-site Ti^(4+)with a certain amount of Zr^(4+).The newly designed system showed high relaxor feature and slim polarization-electric(P-e)***,improved relaxor feature and obviously delayed polarization saturation were found with the increasing of Zr^(4+).Of particular importance is that both high recoverable energy storage density of 6.6 J/cm^(3) and energy efficiency of 93.5%were achieved under 550 kV/cm for the ceramics of x=6,accompanying with excellent frequency stability,appreciable thermal stability,and prosperous discharge *** work not only provides potential dielectric materials for energy storage applications,but also offers an effective strategy to obtain dielectric ceramics with ultrahigh comprehensive energy storage performance to meet the demanding requirements of advanced energy storage applications.

Aerogels are widely used as thermal insulation materials because of their high porosity and low bulk ***,the insulation performance of aerogels is limited to a narrow temperature ***,the preparation of aerogel materials with precisely controlled and complex architectures is still ***,we report 3D printed polyimide/silica aerogel particle(PI/SAP)composite aerogels for thermal insulation in a wide range of temperature with customized *** printability and shape fidelity of 3D printed composite aerogels is improved by adding hydrophilic SAP as a rheology *** resulting PI/SAP composite aerogel exhibits excellent flame-retardant properties and thermal insulation from-50℃ to 1300℃.Moreover,the PI/SAP composite aerogel with customized shape can be applied for battery insulation at subzero temperatures,promising to be used as customizable and stable insulating materials in a variety of complex and extreme applications.

It is assumed that reconfigurable intelligent surface(RIS)is a key technology to enable the potential of mmWave *** passivity of the RIS makes channel estimation difficult because the channel can only be measured at the transceiver and not at the *** this paper,we propose a novel separate channel estimator via exploiting the cascaded sparsity in the continuously valued angular domain of the cascaded channel for the RIS-enabled millimeter-wave/Tera-Hz systems,i.e.,the two-stage estimation method where the cascaded channel is separated into the base station(BS)-RIS and the RIS-user(Ue)***,we first reveal the cascaded sparsity,i.e.,the sparsity exists in the hybrid angular domains of BS-RIS and the RIS-Ues separated channels,to construct the specific sparsity structure for RIS enabled multi-user ***,we formulate the channel estimation problem using atomic norm minimization(ANM)to enhance the proposed sparsity structure in the continuous angular domains,where a low-complexity channel estimator via Alternating Direction Method of Multipliers(ADMM)is *** findings demonstrate that the proposed channel estimator outperforms the current state-of-the-arts in terms of performance.

The thermal conductivity ofε-iron at high pressure and high temperature is a key parameter to constrain the dynamics and thermal evolution of the earth’s *** this work,we use first-principles calculations to study the Hugoniot sound velocity and the thermal transport properties ofε-*** total thermal conductivity considering lattice vibration is 200 W/mK at the earth’s inner core *** suppressed anharmonic interactions can significantly enhance the lattice thermal conductivity under high pressure,and the contribution of the lattice thermal conductivity should not be ignored under the earth’s core conditions.
