Enhancing dielectric properties and energy storage performance of polyvinylidene fluoride composite by surface-modified AgNbO_(3) nanoparticles

The introduction of antiferroelectric filler AgNbO_(3) into the polyvinylidene fluoride(PVDF)polymer matrix enhances its energy storage properties of ***,AgNbO_(3) and PVDF matrix are incompatible due to their distinct physical and chemical properties,resulting in poor compatibility between the two *** modification enhances the large difference in physical and chemical properties between the filler and the polymer matrix,and improves the compatibility between the two *** coupling agents(KH550,KH560),dopamine(DA),and grafted poly(methyl methacrylate)(PMMA)were used to modify the surface of AgNbO_(3) particles,and the effects of different surface modification methods on the energy storage performance of the composites were *** PVDF matrix was introduced with 0.3 wt%AgNbO_(3) particle *** results showed that the amino group in KH550 had the strongest binding with *** ester group in PMMA has a strong binding with *** epoxy group in KH560 has a weak binding with PVDF,while the amino group in DA has the worst binding with *** compatibility of the two phases in AgNbO_(3)@KH550/PVDF composites is the best,and the charge distribution on the surface of the filler is *** an electric field of 350 kV/mm,the energy storage density is 8.48 J/cm^(3).

Heat-resistant alloys with excellent mechanical properties are widely used in various fields,and further improvement in their properties is essential to meet the requirements in new-generation advanced supercritical boilers,nuclear reactors,superheaters,and other new materials *** effectively enhance the comprehensive performance of heat-resistant alloys,second-phase particle strengthening has been widely studied,and in the face of different service envi-ronments of advanced heat-resistant steels,the selection of suitable second-phase particles is essential to maximize the performance of these *** this end,three major types of reinforcing phases in heat-resistant alloys such as carbides,rare earth oxides,and intermetallic compounds are summarized.A comparative analysis of the precipitation behavior of the reinforcing phases with different types as well as the risks and means of controlling their use in service,is *** parameters for the application of various types of second-phase particles in heat-resistant alloys are provided to support the design and preparation of new ultrahigh-performance heat-resistant alloys.

Modulating surface charge redistribution based on interface and defect engineering has been considered as a resultful means to boost electrocatalytic ***,the mechanism of synergistic regulation of heterojunction and vacancy defects remains ***,a Vs-CoP-CoS_(2)/C n-n heterojunction with sulfur vacancies is successfully constructed,which manifests superior electrocatalytic activity for oxygen evolution,as demonstrated by a low overpotential of 170 mV to reach 10 mA/cm^(2).The experimental results and density functional theory calculations testify that the outstanding OER performance of Vs-CoP-CoS_(2)/C heterojunction is owed to the synergistic effect of sulfur vacancies and built-in electric field at n-n heterogeneous interface,which accelerates the electron transfer,induces the charge redistribution,and regulates the adsorption energy of active intermediates during the *** study affords a promising means to regulate the electrocatalytic performance by the construction of heterogeneous interfaces and defects,and in-depth explores the synergistic mechanisms of n-n heterojunction and vacancies.

The SKS furnace is a horizontal cylindrical reactor similar to a Noranda furnace,however,the oxygen enriched air isblown into the furnace from the *** model of the SKS process was developed by analyzing the smeltingcharacteristics *** our model,the furnace section from top to bottom is divided into seven functional layers,i.e.,gas layer,mineral decomposition transitioning layer,slag layer,slag formation transitioning layer,matte formation transitioning layer,weakoxidizing layer and strong oxidizing *** furnace along the length direction is divided into three functional regions,that is,reaction region,separation transitioning region and liquid phase separation and settling *** layers or regions play differentroles in the model in describing the mechanism of the smelting *** SKS smelting is at a multiphase non-steady equilibriumstate,and the oxygen and sulfur potentials change gradually in the length and cross *** smelting capacity of the SKSprocess could be raised through reasonably controlling the potential values in different layers and regions.

Fatigue properties of materials by Additive Manufacturing(AM) depend on many factors such as AM processing parameter, microstructure, residual stress, surface roughness, porosities, post-treatments, etc. Their evaluation inevitably requires these factors combined as many as possible, thus resulting in low efficiency and high cost. In recent years, their assessment by leveraging the power of Machine Learning(ML) has gained increasing attentions. A comprehensive overview on the state-of-the-art progress of applying ML strategies to predict fatigue properties of AM materials, as well as their dependence on AM processing and post-processing parameters such as laser power, scanning speed, layer height, hatch distance, built direction, post-heat temperature,etc., were presented. A few attempts in employing Feedforward Neural Network(FNN), Convolutional Neural Network(CNN), Adaptive Network-Based Fuzzy Inference System(ANFIS), Support Vector Machine(SVM) and Random Forest(RF) to predict fatigue life and RF to predict fatigue crack growth rate are summarized. The ML models for predicting AM materials' fatigue properties are found intrinsically similar to the commonly used ones, but are modified to involve AM features. Finally, an outlook for challenges(i.e., small dataset, multifarious features,overfitting, low interpretability, and unable extension from AM material data to structure life) and potential solutions for the ML prediction of AM materials' fatigue properties is provided.

The ultrafine silver powders were prepared by liquid reduction method using Arabic gum as *** effects of different dispersants,pH values,and temperature on the morphology and particle size of silver powders were *** is found that Arabic gum can better adsorb on silver particles via chemical adsorption,and it shows the best dispersive effect among all the selected *** particle size of silver powders can be finely tuned from 0.34 to 4.09μm by adjusting pH values,while the morphology of silver powders can be tuned by changing the *** silver powders with high tap density higher than 4.0 g/cm3 were successfully prepared in a wide temperature range of 21.8-70°***,the tap density is higher than 5.0 g/cm3 when the temperature is optimized to be 50°*** facile process and high silver concentration of this method make it a promising way to prepare high quality silver powders for electronic paste.

Cracks have consistently been a significant challenge limiting the development of additive manufactured nickel-based *** is essential to investigate the location of cracks and their forming *** study extensively examines the impact of solidification process,microstructural evolution,and stress concentration on crack initiation during direct energy deposition(DED).The results emphasize that the crack formation is significantly related to large-angle grain boundaries,rapid cooling *** caused by large-angle grain boundaries and a fast-cooling rate predominantly appear near the edge of the deposited *** cracks are more likely to form near the top of the deposited sample,due to the presence ofγ/γ'*** secondary dendritic arm and the carbides in the interdendritic regions can obstruct liquid flow during the final stage of solidification,which results in the formation of solidification cracks and *** work paves the way to avoid cracks in nickel-based superalloys fabricated by DED,thereby enhancing the performance of superalloys.

Predicting RNA binding protein(RBP) binding sites on circular RNAs(circ RNAs) is a fundamental step to understand their interaction mechanism. Numerous computational methods are developed to solve this problem, but they cannot fully learn the features. Therefore, we propose circ-CNNED, a convolutional neural network(CNN)-based encoding and decoding framework. We first adopt two encoding methods to obtain two original matrices. We preprocess them using CNN before fusion. To capture the feature dependencies, we utilize temporal convolutional network(TCN) and CNN to construct encoding and decoding blocks, respectively. Then we introduce global expectation pooling to learn latent information and enhance the robustness of circ-CNNED. We perform circ-CNNED across 37 datasets to evaluate its effect. The comparison and ablation experiments demonstrate that our method is superior. In addition, motif enrichment analysis on four datasets helps us to explore the reason for performance improvement of circ-CNNED.
