Hexavalent chromium[Cr(Ⅵ)]causes serious harm to the environment due to its high toxicity,solubility,and ***(Fh)are the main adsorbent and trapping agent of Cr(Ⅵ)in soils and aquifers,and they usually coexist with silicate(Si),forming Si-containing ferrihydrite(Si-Fh)***,the mechanism of Cr(Ⅵ)retention by Si-Fh mixtures is poorly *** this study,the behaviors and mechanisms of Cr(Ⅵ)adsorption onto Si-Fh with different Si/Fe molar ratios was *** electron microscope,Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy,X-ray diffraction,X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy,and other techniques were used to characterize Si-Fh and Cr(Ⅵ)-loading of *** results show that specific surface area of Si-Fh increases gradually with increasing Si/Fe ratios,but Cr(Ⅵ)adsorption on Si-Fh decreases with increasing Si/Fe *** is because with an increase in Si/Fe molar ratio,the point of zero charge of Si-Fh gradually decreases and electrostatic repulsion between Si-Fh and Cr(Ⅵ)***,the complexation of Cr(Ⅵ)is enhanced due to the increase in adsorbed hydroxyl(A-OH-)on Si-Fh with increasing Si/Fe molar ratio,which partly counteracts the effect of the electrostatic ***,the increase in the electrostatic repulsion has a greater impact on adsorption than the additional complexation with *** functional theory calculation further supports this observation,showing the increases in electron variation of bonding atoms and reaction energies of inner spherical complexes with the increase in Si/Fe ratio.

Yttrium iron garnet(YIG)is a promising material for various terahertz applications due to its special optical *** present,a high-quality YIG wafer is the desire of terahertz communities and it is still challenging to prepare substrate-free YIG single crystal *** this work,we prepared wafer-level substrate-free La:YIG single crystal films,for the first time,to our *** optical and magneto-optical properties of La:YIG films were characterized by terahertz time domain spectroscopy(THz-TDS).Results show that the as-prepared La:YIG film has an insertion loss of less than 3 dB and a low absorption coefficient of less than10 cm-1below 1.6 *** from the thickness of the substrate-free YIG films and low insertion loss,their terahertz properties could be further manipulated by simply using a wafer-stacking *** four La:YIG films were stacked,there was an insertion loss of less than 10 dB in the range of 0.1-1.2 *** Faraday rotation angle of the four-layer-stacked La:YIG films reached 19°,and the isolation could reach17 *** further increasing the stacking number to eight pieces,a remarkable Faraday rotation angle of45°was achieved with an isolation of 23 dB,which is important for practical application in the THz *** material may provide a milestone opportunity to make various non-reciprocal devices,such as isolators and phase shifters.

High-performance localized high-concentration electrolytes by diluent design for long-cycling lithium metal batteries

Electrolyte design is essential for stabilizing lithium metal anodes and localized high-concentration electrolyte(LHCE) is a promising one. However, the state-of-the-art LHCE remains insufficient to ensure long-cycling lithium metal anodes. Herein, regulating the solvation structure of lithium ions in LHCE by weakening the solvating power of diluents is proposed for improving LHCE performance. A diluent,1,1,2,2,3,3,4,4-octafluoro-5-(1,1,2,2-tetrafluoroethoxy) pentane(OFE), with weaker solvating power is introduced to increase the proportion of aggregates(an anion interacts with more than two lithium ions,AGG-n) in electrolyte compared with the commonly used 1,1,2,2-tetrafluoroethyl-2,2,3,3-tetrafluoropropyl ether(TTE). The decomposition of AGG-n in OFE-based LHCE intensifies the formation of anion-derived solid electrolyte interphase and improves the uniformity of lithium deposition. Lithium metal batteries with OFE-based LHCE deliver a superior lifespan of 190 cycles compared with 90 cycles of TTE-based LHCE under demanding conditions. Furthermore, a pouch cell with OFE-based LHCE delivers a specific energy of 417 Wh/kg and undergoes 49 cycles. This work provides guidance for designing high-performance electrolytes for lithium metal batteries.

Lithium–sulfur(Li–S)batteries promise high-energy-density potential to exceed the commercialized lithiumion batteries but suffer from limited cycling lifespan due to the side reactions between lithium polysulfides(LiPSs)and Li metal ***,a three-way electrolyte with ternary solvents is proposed to enable high-energy-density and long-cycling Li–S pouch ***,ternary solvents composed of 1,2-dimethoxyethane,di-isopropyl sulfide,and 1,3,5-trioxane are employed to guarantee smooth cathode kinetics,inhibit the parasitic reactions,and construct a robust solid electrolyte interphase,*** cycling lifespan of Li–S coin cells with 50μm Li anodes and 4.0 mg cm^(−2) sulfur cathodes is prolonged from88 to 222 cycles using the three-way ***-heterogeneous solvation structure of LiPSs and organic-rich solid electrolyte interphase are identified to improve the cycling stability of Li metal ***,a 3.0 Ah-level Li–S pouch cell with the three-way electrolyte realizes a high energy density of 405 Wh kg^(−1) and undergoes 27 *** affords a three-way electrolyte recipe for suppressing the side reactions of LiPSs and inspires rational electrolyte design for practical high-energy-density and long-cycling Li–S batteries.

Efficacy of percutaneous mechanical thrombus removal in acute lower extremity deep venous thrombosis

BACKGROUND Acute lower extremity deep venous thrombosis(LEDVT)is a common vascular emergency with significant morbidity risks,including post-thrombotic syndrome(PTS)and pulmonary *** treatments like catheter-directed thrombolysis(CDT)often result in variable success rates and *** To investigate the therapeutic efficacy of percutaneous mechanical thrombus removal in acute *** A retrospective analysis was performed to examine 58 hospitalised patients with acute LEDVT between August 2019 and August *** patients were categorised into the percutaneous mechanical thrombectomy(PMT)group(n=24)and CDT group(n=32).The follow-up,safety and treatment outcomes were compared between the two *** main observational indexes were venous patency score,thrombus removal effect,complications,hospitalisation duration and *** The venous patency score was 9.04±1.40 in the PMT group and 8.81±1.60 in the CDT group,and the thrombus clearance rate was 100%in both *** complication rate was 8.33%in the PMT group and 34.84%in the CDT group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The average hospitalisation duration was 6.54±2.48 days in the PMT group and 8.14±3.56 days in the CDT *** incidence of PTS was lower in the PMT group than in the CDT group;however,the difference was not statistically significant(P<0.05).CONCLUSION Compared with CDT,treatment of LEDVT via PMT was associated with a better thrombus clearance rate,clinical therapeutic effect and PTS prevention function,but the difference was not statistically ***,PMT was associated with a reduced urokinase dosage,shortened hospitalisation duration and reduced incidence of complications,such as infections and small *** results indicate that PMT has substantial beneficial effects in the treatment of LEDVT.

Molecular profiling of cell-surface proteins is a powerful strategy for precise cancer *** mass cytometry(MC)enables synchronous detection of over 40 cellular parameters,its full potential in disease classification is challenged by the limited types of recognition probes currently *** this work,we synthesize a panel of heavy isotopeconjugated aptamers to profile cancer-associated signatures on the surface of hematological malignancy(HM)*** on 15 molecular signatures,we performed cell-surface profiling that allowed the precise classification of 8 HM cell *** with machine-learning technology,this aptamer-based MC platform also achieved multiclass identification of HM subtypes in clinical sampleswith 100%accuracy in the training cohort and 80%accuracy in the test ***,we report an effective and practical strategy for precise cancer classification at the singlecell level,paving the way for its clinical use in the near future.
