OBJECTIVE:To investigate the impact of Yemazhui(Herba Eupatorii lindleyani,HEl)against lipopolysaccharide(lPS)-induced acute l.ng injury(AlI)and explore its underlying mechanism in ***:The chemical constituents of HEl were analyzed by ultra-high performance liquid chromatographyquadrupole time-of-flight mass spectrometry ***,HEl was found to suppress lPS-induced AlI in ***-week-old male Sprague-Dawley rats were randomly divided into 6 groups:control,lPS,Dexamethasone(Dex),HEl low dose 6 g/kg(HEl-l),HEl medium dose 18 g/kg(HEl-M)and HEl high dose 54 g/kg(HEl-H)*** model rats were intratracheally injected with 3 mg/kg lPS to establish an AlI *** counts,l.ng wet/dry weight ratio,as well as myeloperoxidase(MPO)activity were determined followed by the detection with hematoxylin and eosin staining,enzyme linked immunosorbent assay,quantitative real time polymerase chain reaction,western blotting,immunohistochemistry,and ***,to explore the effect of HEl on AlI-mediated intestinal flora,we performed 16s rRNA sequencing analysis of intestinal ***:HEl attenuated lPS-induced inflammation in l.ng tissue and intestinal flora *** study indicated that HEl suppressed the l.ng coefficient and wet/dry weight ratio of lPS-induced AlI in rats,inhibited leukocytes exudation and MPO activity,and improved the pathological injury of l.ng *** addition,HEl reduced the expression of tumor necrosis factoralpha,interleukin-1beta(Il-1β)and interleukin-6(Il-6)in bronchoalveolar lavage fluid and serum,and inhibited nuclear displacement of nuclear factor kappa-B p65(NF-κBp65).And 18 g/kg HEl also reduced the expression levels of toll-like receptor 4(TlR4),myeloid differentiation factor 88,NF-κBp65,phosphorylated inhibitor kappa B alpha(phospho-IκBα),nod-like receptor family pyrin domain-containing 3 protein(NlRP3),Il-1β,and interleukin-18(Il-18)in l.ng tissue,and regulated intestinal flora disturban

Comparison of the hygrothermal performance of two light-framed timber structure buildings under different operation modes

light-framed timber structure(lTS)buildings have been highly valued in recent years due to their low-carbon ***,the applicability of the building envelope is closely related to indoor and outdoor *** hot summer and cold winter(HSCW)climate zone in China has high humidity and great temperature variation throughout the year,resulting in distinct outdoor environments in different *** indoor environment is greatly affected by energy-consumption patterns and window-opening habits,which largely depend upon the regulation operations of *** these interrelated factors lead to extremely complex boundary conditions on each side of the building *** the structures of lTS buildings are applicable in this climate zone,therefore,needs to be carefully *** this study,two lTS buildings with different envelopes were established in Haining,China,situated in the HSCW climate zone,and selected as the study *** operation modes were adopted to create a variety of indoor *** each condition,the processes of heat and moisture transfer within the building envelopes and the indoor environment were monitored and *** comparison indicated that the building envelope with high moisture storage and insulation ability maintained a relatively stable indoor environment,especially when the environment changed ***,if the outdoor environment was equable(e.g.,relative humidity within the range of 30%–60%)or intermittent energy consumption modes were adopted,the building envelope with a low thermal inertia index and weak moisture-buffering ability performed better because it enabled a faster response of the indoor environment to air ***,a high risk of moisture accumulation between the thermal insulation layer and other materials with a large water vapour transfer resistance factor was also identified,suggesting a higher requirement for the vapour insulation of the env

Increasing operational stability of journal bearing in hydraulic suspension micro-pump by herringbone grooved structure

The operational stability of radial journal bearings is the bottleneck that limits the reliability of hydraulic suspension micropump. Due to self-excited vibrations, the whirl amplitude of the plain journal bearing(PJB) is large at high rotational speeds,which will accelerate wear failure. It has been proven that employing herringbone grooved journal bearing(HGJB) is an effective method to reduce the whirl amplitude and improve operational stability. However, enhancing the stability of journal bearings in micro-pumps by herringbone grooved structures has rarely been studied, and its effect needs to be verified. We validated the mechanism of the stability improvement with the CFD method and compared the dynamic characteristics of HGJB and PJB by rotor dynamics evaluation and experiment. The experimental results show that under the same conditions the whirl amplitude of the HGJB decreases by 29.61% in the x direction and by 24.09% in the y direction compared with that of the PJB. This study reveals the effect of the herringbone grooved structure on the operational stability of bearings and may provide guidance for the reliability improvement of hydraulic suspension micro-pump.

Ant-nest-inspired porous structure for MXene composites with high-performance energy-storage and actuating multifunctions

Research on automation and intelligent operation of tunnel boring machine(TBM)is receiving more and more attention,benefiting from the increasing construction ***,most studies on TBM operations optimization were trained by the labels of human drivers’decisions,which were subjective and *** a result,the control parameters suggested by these models could hardly surpass the performance of a human driver,even the possibility of subjective incorrect *** that the geomechanical feedback to TBM under drivers’actions is objective,in this paper,a transformer-based model called the geological response for tunnel boring machine(GRTBM),is proposed to learn the relationship between operation-adjust and TBM monitoring ***,with the model-based offline reinforcement learning,this paper provided a novel approach to optimizing the TBM excavation *** decision processes,recorded in the Yin-song TBM project for a waterway tunnel in Jilin Province of China,were used for the validation of the *** adopting an implicit perception of geological conditions in the GRTBM model,the suggested method achieved the desired state within a single action,greatly outperformed the practical adjustments where 500 s were taken,reveal.ng the fact that the proposed model has the potential to surpass the capability of human beings.

Verification of quantum networks using the GHZ paradox

The Greenberger–Horne–Zeil.nger(GHZ) paradox shows that it is possible to create a multipartite state involving three or more particles in which the measurement outcomes of the particles are correlated in a way that cannot be explained by classical physics. We extend it to witness quantum networks. We first extend the GHZ paradox to simultaneously verify the GHZ state and Einstein–Podolsky–Rosen states on triangle networks. We then extend the GHZ paradox to witness the entanglement of chain networks consisting of multiple GHZ states. All the present results are robust against the noise.

Effect of Bimodal Quasicrystal Phase on the Dynamic Recrystallization of Mg–Zn–Gd Alloy during High-Pressure Torsion

The Mg–Zn–Gd alloy with quasicrystal icosahedral phase was processed by high-pressure torsion (HPT). The effect of bimodal I-phase on the dynamic recrystallization was analyzed by transmission electron microscopy. The results showed that the block I-phase can stimulate obvious particle-stimulated nucleation and dynamic recrystallization (DRX) grains were preferentially formed after HPT for 5 turns, while the granular I-phase only promoted the generation of sub-grains. The orientation relationship was determined as twofold//[1210] and fivefold//(0002)_(Mg). Moreover, after HPT for 9 turns, the DRX grains induced by block I-phase appeared to grow up and coarsened. Compared with block I-phase, the grains induced by granular I-phase presented much smaller size and distributed more homogeneous due to the strong pinning effect.

Prediction of fracture initiation in cohesive soils based on data mining modell.ng and large-scale laboratory verification

Many empirical and analytical methods have been proposed to predict fracturing pressure in cohesive *** of them take into account three to four specific influencing factors and rely on the assumption of a failure *** this study,a novel data-mining approach based on the XGBoost algorithm is investigated for predicting fracture initiation in cohesive *** has the advantage of handl.ng multiple influencing factors simultaneously,without pre-determining a failure mode.A dataset of 416 samples consisting of 14 distinct features was herein collected from past studies,and used for developing a regressor and a classifier model for fracturing pressure prediction and failure mode classification *** results show that the intrinsic characteristics of the soil govern the failure mode while the fracturing pressure is more sensitive to the stress *** XGBoost-based model was also tested against conventional approaches,as well as a similar machine learning algorithm namely random forest ***,several large-scale triaxial fracturing tests and an in-situ case study were carried out to further verify the generalization ability and applicability of the proposed data mining approach,and the results indicate a superior performance of the XGBoost model.
