BACKGROUND Although the specific pathogenesis of preterm birth(PTB)has not been thoroughly clarified,it is known to be related to various factors,such as pregnancy complications,maternal socioeconomic factors,lifestyle habits,reproductive history,environmental and psychological factors,prenatal care,and nutritional *** has serious implications for newborns and families and is associated with high mortality and ***,the prediction of PTB risk can facilitate early intervention and reduce its resultant adverse *** To analyze the risk factors for PTB to establish a PTB risk prediction model and to assess postpartum anxiety and depression in *** A retrospective analysis of 648 consecutive parturients who delivered at Shenzhen Bao’an District Songgang People’s Hospital between January 2019 and January 2022 was *** to the diagnostic criteria for premature infants,the parturients were divided into a PTB group(n=60)and a full-term(FT)group(n=588).Puerperae were assessed by the Self-rating Anxiety Scale(SAS)and Self rating Depression Scale(SDS),based on which the mothers with anxiety and depression symptoms were screened for further *** factors affecting PTB were analyzed by univariate analysis,and the related risk factors were identified by logistic *** According to univariate analysis,the PTB group was older than the FT group,with a smaller weight change and greater proportions of women who underwent artificial insemination and had gestational diabetes mellitus(P<0.05).In addition,greater proportions of women with reproductive tract infections and greater white blood cell(WBC)counts(P<0.05),shorter cervical lengths in the second trimester and lower neutrophil percentages(P<0.001)were detected in the PTB group than in the FT *** PTB group exhibited higher postpartum SAS and SDS scores than did the FT group(P<0.0001),with a higher number of mothers experiencing anxiety and depress

Earthquake-related hydrochemical changes in thermal springs have been widely observed;however,quantitative modeling of the reactive transport process is *** the present study,we apply reactive transport simulation to capture the hydrochemical responses in a thermal spring following the Wenchuan Ms 8.0 and Lushan Ms 7.0 *** first constrain deep reservoir geothermal fluid compositions and temperature by multicomponent geothermometry,and then a reactive geochemical transport model is constructed to reproduce the hydrochemical evolution *** results show that the recharge from the shallow aquifer increases gradually until it reaches a peak because of the permeability enhancement caused by the Lushan earthquake,which may be the mechanism to explain the earthquake-related hydrochemical *** contrast to the postseismic effect of the Wenchuan earthquake,the chemical evolution can be considered as hydrochemical anomalies related to the Lushan *** study proves that the efficient simulation of reactive transport processes is useful for investigating earthquake-related signals in hydrochemical time series.

Element-Arrangement Context Network for Facade Parsing

Facade parsing aims to decompose a building facade image into semantic regions of the facade *** each architectural element on a facade as a parameterized rectangle,we formulate the facade parsing task as object detection,allowing overlapping and nesting,which will support structural 3D modeling and editing for further *** contrast to general object detection,the spatial arrangement regularity and appearance similarity between the facade elements of the same category provide valuable context for accurate element *** this paper,we propose to exploit the spatial arrangement regularity and appearance similarity of facade elements in a detection *** element-arrangement context network(EACNet)consists of two unidirectional attention branches,one to capture the column-context and the other to capture row-context to aggregate element-specific features from multiple instances on the *** conduct extensive experiments on four public datasets(ECP,CMP,Graz50,and eTRIMS).The proposed EACNet achieves the highest mIoU(82.1%on ECP,77.35%on Graz50,and 82.3%on eTRIMS)compared with the state-of-the-art *** the quantitative and qualitative evaluation results demonstrate the effectiveness of our dual unidirectional attention branches to parse facade elements.

High-resolution remote thermometry based on Bi^(3+)-doped 0D zinc halide hybrids

Developing highly sensitive optical thermometers is of great significance due to their capability to enable remote and non-contact temperature measurements, rendering them highly applicable in diverse and harsh environments. Herein we report a temperature-dependent phosphor of 0D metal halide hybrid by incorporating Bi^(3+)into the(MePPh_(3))_(2)ZnCl_(4) matrix. Through Bi^(3+)doping,the initially non-luminescent(MePPh_(3))_(2) ZnCl_(4) matrix exhibits a deep-blue emission centered at 453 nm, with a photoluminescence quantum yield(PLQY) of 5.71% and a Stokes shift of 75 nm at room temperature. Experimental characterization demonstrates that exciton-like luminescence of Bi^(3+)is mainly responsible for the blue emission. Single crystals of Bi^(3+)-doped(MePPh_(3))_(2)ZnCl_(4) show an unusual correlation between photoluminescence(PL) lifetime and temperature. Particularly, the dependence of luminescence lifetime on temperature is most remarkable in the temperature range of 80 to 100 K with an exceptional sensitivity up to 0.09 K^(-1), representing one of the best levels for thermometry based on PL decay lifetime. Our work not only provides a viable strategy for designing a novel, environmentally friendly, and stable blue emitter, but also paves the way for precise thermometric application at low temperature.

Modulating Pt surfaces through the introduction of lattice distortion emerges as immensely effective strategy that enhances the kinetics of alkaline hydrogen evolution and oxidation *** this study,we fabricated lattice-distorted Pt wrinkled nanoparticles(LD-Pt WNPs)for efficient hydrogen *** LD-Pt WNPs not only outperform the Pt/C benchmark in hydrogen oxidation reaction,achieving an excellent mass-specific current of 968.5 mA·mg_(Pt)^(-1)(9 times that of Pt/C),but also demonstrate outstanding hydrogen evolution reaction activity with a small overpotential of 58.0 *** experiments and density functional theory calculations reveal that lattice defects introduce an abundance of unsaturated coordination atoms while modifying the d-band center of *** dual effect optimizes the binding strength of crucial H and OH intermediates,leading to a significant reduction in the energy barrier of the reaction bottleneck,commonly known as the Volmer *** work unveils a fresh viewpoint on projecting and developing high efficiency electrocatalysts through defect engineering.

Colloidal quantum dots(CQDs)are of interest for optoelectronic devices because of the possibility of high-throughput solution processing and the wide energy gap tunability from ultraviolet to infrared *** may question about the upper limit on the CQD wavelength *** date,although the CQD absorption already reaches terahertz,the practical photodetection wavelength is limited within mid-wave *** figure out challenges on CQD photoresponse in longer wavelength,would reveal the ultimate property on these ***’s more,it motivates interest in bottom-up infrared photodetection with less than 10%cost compared with epitaxial growth semiconductor *** this work,developing a re-growth method and ionic doping modification,we demonstrate photodetection up to 18μm wavelength on HgTe *** liquid nitrogen temperature,the responsivity reaches 0.3 A/W and 0.13 A/W,with specific detectivity 6.6×108 Jones and 2.3×109 Jones for 18μm and 10μm CQD photoconductors,*** work is a step toward answering the general question on the CQD photodetection wavelength limitation.

An ultraviolet-infrared(UV-IR)dual-wavelength photodetector(PD)based on a monolayer(ML)graphene/GaN heterostructure has been successfully fabricated in this *** ML graphene was synthesized by chemical vapor deposition(CVD)and subsequently transferred onto GaN substrate using polymethylmethacrylate(PMMA).The morphological and optical properties of the as-prepared graphene and GaN were *** fabricated PD based on the graphene/GaN heterostructure exhibited excellent rectify behavior by measuring the current–voltage(I–V)characteristics under dark conditions,and the spectral response demonstrated that the device revealed an UV-IR dual-wavelength *** addition,the energy band structure and absorption properties of the ML graphene/GaN heterostructure were theoretically investigated based on density functional theory(DFT)to explore the underlying physical mechanism of the two-dimensional(2D)/three-dimensional(3D)hybrid heterostructure PD *** work paves the way for the development of innovative GaNbased dual-wavelength optoelectronic devices,offering a potential strategy for future applications in the field of advanced photodetection technology.

The traditional simple random sampling(SRS)design method is inefficient in many *** proposed some new designs to increase *** this paper,as a variation of moving extremes ranked set sampling(MERSS),double MERSS(DMERSS)is proposed and its properties for estimating the population mean are *** turns out that,when the underlying distribution is symmetric,DMERSS gives unbiased estimators of the population ***,it is found that DMERSS is more efficient than the SRS and MERSS methods for usual symmetric distributions(normal and uniform).For asymmetric distributions considered in this study,the DMERSS has a small bias and it is more efficient than SRS for usual asymmetric distribution(exponential)for small sample sizes.

Estimation of surface geometry on combustion characteristics of AP/HTPB propellant under rapid depressurization

The 2D sandwich model serves as a potent tool in exploring the influence of surface geometry on the combustion attributes of Ammonium perchlorate/Hydroxyl-terminated polybutadiene(AP/HTPB)propellant under rapid pressure *** thickness of the sandwich propellant is derived from slicing the 3D random particle packing,an approach that enables a more effective examination of the micro-flame *** analysis of the predicted burning characteristics has been performed with experimental *** findings demonstrate a reasonable agreement,thereby validating the precision and soundness of the *** on the typical rapid depressurization environment of solid rocket motor(initial combustion pressure is 3 MPa and the maximum depressurization rate is 1000 MPa/s).A-type(a flatter surface),B-type(AP recesses from the combustion surface),and C-type(AP protrudes from the combustion surface)propellant combustion processes are numerically *** comparison of the evolution of gas-phase flame between 0.1 and 1 ms,it is discerned that the flame strength and form created by the three sandwich models differ significantly at the beginning stage of depressurization,with the flame structures gradually becoming harmonized over *** are drawn by comparison extinction times:the surface geometry plays a pivotal role in the combustion process,with AP protrusion favoring combustion the most.
