Accumulating studies have demonstrated that hyperbaric oxygen(HBO)treatment alleviates spinal cord injury(SCI).However,the underlying mechanism by which HBO alleviates SCI remains to be *** this study,we performed genome-wide transcriptional profiling of the spinal cord between SCI mice and mice that received HBO treatment by high-throughput RNA sequencing at 1 week after *** also compared genome-wide transcriptional profiles from SCI mice and sham-operated *** found 76 differentially co-expressed genes in sham-operated mice,SCI mice,and HBO-treated SCI *** Gene Ontology and Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes enrichment analysis,we identified the biological characteristics of these differentially expressed genes from the perspectives of cell component,biological process,and molecular *** also found enriched functional pathways including ferroptosis,calcium signaling pathway,serotonergic synapse,hypoxia-inducible factor-1 signaling pathway,cholinergic synapse,and neuroactive ligand-receptor *** performed quantitative reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction and validated that HBO treatment decreased the expression of Hspb1(heat shock protein beta 1),Hmox1(heme oxygenase 1),Ftl1(ferritin light polypeptide 1),Tnc(tenascin C)and Igfbp3(insulin-like growth factor binding protein 3)and increased the expression of Slc5a7(solute carrier family 5 choline transporter member 7)after *** results revealed the genome-wide transcriptional profile of the injured spinal cord after HBO *** findings contribute to a better understanding of the mechanism by which HBO treats SCI and may provide new targets for SCI intervention.

A near infrared spectroscopy（NIRS） approach was established for quality control of the alcohol precipitation liquid in the manufacture of Codonopsis Radix. By applying NIRS with multivariate analysis, it was possible to build variation into the calibration sample set, and the Plackett-Burman design, Box-Behnken design, and a concentrating-diluting method were used to obtain the sample set covered with sufficient fluctuation of process parameters and extended concentration information. NIR data were calibrated to predict the four quality indicators using partial least squares regression（PLSR）. In the four calibration models, the root mean squares errors of prediction（RMSEPs） were 1.22 μg/ml, 10.5 μg/ml, 1.43 μg/ml, and 0.433% for lobetyolin, total flavonoids, pigments, and total solid contents, respectively. The results indicated that multi-components quantification of the alcohol precipitation liquid of Codonopsis Radix could be achieved with an NIRS-based method, which offers a useful tool for real-time release testing（RTRT） of intermediates in the manufacture of Codonopsis Radix.

[ Objective] To study the effects of Lanerkang-A on the immunity and growth performance of piglets and lay a base for the development of green medicine on immunity stimulator, [ Method] A total of 50 healthy piglets were randomly divided into two groups, the control group （Group 1 ） and the test group （Group 2）, 25 piglets in each group. All the piglets were intramuscularly injected with 2 ml porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome （PRRS） propolis inactivated vaccine at 25 days old. The piglets in the Group 2 were fed with feed containing Lanerkang-A （ 10 ml/kg） at 42 days old. After 7-d feeding, the antibody titer against PRRSV and the cytoimmunity were detected using ELISA and E-rosette, respectively. [ Result] Lanerkang-A increased antibody titer against PRRSV by 4 titers and increased E-rosette forming rate by 7%. The average daily weight gain increased by 15.68%. [ Conclusion] Lanerkang-A can greatly enhance the immunological function of body, increase the daily gain of piglets, as well as improve their growth performance.

The efficient separation of fission products,such as TcO4-and I-,holds strategic significance for the management of radioactive wastes and environmental *** this study,we propose an ultrafast strategy for scalable preparation of a highly quaternized organic network to facilitate efficient and synchronous separation of iodide and *** network can be prepared within a few minutes at room temperature,using polyethylenimine and 1,2,4,5-tetrakis（bromomethyl）benzene as building *** chlorine replacement,the network,abundantly decorated with quaternary ammonium groups （Cl@QPN）,exhibits an ultrahigh positive charge density of 7.6 mmol/*** enables the rapid and efficient enrichment of target anions through strong electrostatic Coulomb *** a result,Cl@QPN exhibits significantly higher adsorption rate constants of 0.830 g/（mg min） for ReO4-（a nonradioactive surrogate of TcO4-） and 0.677 g/（mg min） for I-compared to other ***,it possesses high adsorption capacities,reaching 1,681 mg/g for ReO4-and 917.4 mg/g for I-.Cl@QPN also demonstrates good selectivity towards target ions and shows efficient adsorption for99TcO4-.Additionally,Cl@QPN exhibits high dynamic processing capacities,handling up to 3,100 and 7,400 kg of simulated streams per kilogram of material for I-and ReO4-,respectively.

Background: Spinal cord injury (SCI) is a worldwide medical concern. This study aimed to elucidate the mechanism underlying protective effect of hyperbaric oxygen (HBO) against SCI-induced neurologic defects in rats via exploring the stromal cell-derived factor-1 (SDF-1)/CXC chemokine receptor 4 (CXCR4) axis and expression of brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF). Methods: An acute SCI rat model was established in Sprague-Dawley rats using the Allen method. Sixty rats were divided into four groups (w = 15 in each group): sham-operated, SCI, SCI treated with HBO (SCI + HBO), and SCI treated with both HBO and AMD3100 (an antagonist of CXCR4;SCI + HBO + AMD) groups. The rats were treated with HBO twice a day for 3 days and thereafter once a day after the surgery for up to 28 days. Following the surgery, neurologic assessments were performed with the Basso-Bettie-Bresnahan (BBB) scoring system on postoperative day (POD) 7, 14, 21, and 28. Spinal cord tissues were harvested to assess the expression of SDF-1, CXCR4, and BDNF at mRNA and protein levels, using quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction, Western blot analysis, and histopathologic analysis. Results: HBO treatment recovered SCI-induced descent of BBB scores on POD 14,(1.25±0.75 vs. 1.03 ±0.66, P< 0.05), 21 (5.27± 0.89 vs. 2.56± 1.24, P< 0.05), and 28 (11.35±0.56 vs. 4.23± 1.20, P<0.05) compared with the SCI group. Significant differences were found in the mRNA levels of SDF-1 (mRNA: day 21, SCI + HBO vs. SCI + HBO + AMD, 2.89± 1.60 vs. 1.56±0.98, P<0.05), CXCR4 (mRNA: day 7, SCI + HBO vs. SCI, 2.99± 1.60 vs. 1.31 ±0.98, P<0.05;day 14, SCI + HBO vs. SCI + HBO + AMD, 4.18± 1.60 vs. 0.80±0.34, P<0.05;day 21, SCI + HBO vs. SCI, 2.10±1.01 vs.1.15±0.03, P<0.05), and BDNF (mRNA: day 7, SCI + HBO vs. SCI, 3.04±0.41 vs. 2.75±0.31, P<0.05;day 14, SCI + HBO vs. SCI, 3.88± 1.59 vs. 1.11 ±0.40, P<0.05), indicating the involvement of SDF-1/CXCR4 axis in the protective effect of HBO.
